Three more people needed, I'm going to message a few people I see in the other pools. I actually do this every season but was thinking to actually give it a rest this season -- but the extra prize spots will likely be the ones I'm aiming for. Guys like Little Mouse should have enough to practically join all the pools for the next 10 years, where are you man?

I was totally out of soccer schedule. We have been going through a huge national problem (still uncertainty where we are heading to, such worst politics here). The last match I watched was the final of Copa America. I haven't watched any matches after that. I couldnt keep up with the pools.

I'll join this one and UCL soon.

I joined this pool and 4 more without much hope for top results as I will be making forecasts in energy saving mode. I would like to believe that something will change during the season.
By the way, the Champions League this season will be a real mess due to the new format, I don’t even know how relevant it will be to make money bets at this stage.

Hey, yeah, I been seeing the headlines, didn't realise you'd be affected -- of course you know I was just horsing around, no one should prioritise sports over real life. Politics is messy wherever you go, but it affects us in the South a lot more I suppose. Hope all is all right, we'll welcome you back to UCL of course (and here).

I think the prediction pools are always going to be a sort of revolving luck door. Especially when score differences on outcomes award extra points. So if you consistently put in your picks, add a dash of daring here and there, you'll eventually come out on top somewhere. Last season out of nowhere I took home a nice prize from AFCON how? By picking many 1-0 scores. No real research, just dumb luck.

The new format is definitely less viable for underdog outrights. You're seeded from your league position, and highest seeds play lowest seeds after. A pity for me and my style. Hope Bundesliga doesn't follow through with Super League in the end (but money talks loudest).

Yes, luck decides a lot (probably everything to be precise, especially when most of the forecasters are professionals or close to it). I remember how in the season before last I was very accurate in Serie A, but due to the fact that I almost never guessed the exact score I was at the bottom of the table. It was a real pain.
As for the Super League, I am on the contrary waiting for its launch. This format of the Champions League is a Super League, but an ugly one. Officials can never do anything good.

Now they scored on 88th minute, sent game to penalty shootout where they won first trophy of season. And all this despite that they were one men down big part of game after Terrier got red card.
New season begins on Friday and as I understand this Sunday is last day to join pool. So, there isstill some untl it will be too late.

Same old, same old. They simply do not know how to loose a game anymore. Saving themselves in last minutes in what 7/10 last games they played. I guessed at the numbers did not check but I remember last season after they won it, they were loosing every game and then scoring in last minutes.

These were maybe 2 clubs I am most excited to see how they will do this season.

And in this game they did it playing with ten men for most of the game. Again an incredible save and again it can't be called luck - Xabi made substitutions and they worked. A great start to the season for Bayer. By the way, judging by Stuttgart's shape, we can say that they will be in the top again and it is far from certain that Bayern will be able to displace them from second place

Hi guys, I messed up the registration for this pool as I was damn sure for some reason that registration would be possible until the first game starts. Don't ask me why, doesn't help if I explain the reasons in detail here. I would still like to participate, but cyan and I agreed that if someone is against it here, then that is what it is.
