Anyway submitted, there isnt that much to change from my end because I probably only had Real Madrid as one of my selection. Cheeky PSG and Lens made it back to the list but Im not falling for that one

I like the idea of a finite number of picks for a certain team, let's say 10 or 15. In that case great teams aren't automatic picks anymore - and there's potential drama near the end if a person near the top of the table is out of picks.
Looks like a lot of extra work though, but can be automated through formulas I'd assume.

Would be my recommendation for next season for sure.

Just filled out the form.

The Copa Del Rey final messed up this round as LaLiga was absent... With Ligue 1 back I'm trying my luck on some of these French teams in case they do well.

Tonight preparing to watch CL Bayern vs Madrid.

I dont know why i believe the rest of the league was gonna play but seems like they stop the whole league just for one game.

I hope to be at least 20 the next season, we made a baby step from season 1 to 2 from 15 to 16 

About the changes yes in paper i like them but lets see how hard is to implement and how it ended out being. I have some other ideas for next season but im lazy right now maybe when it ends and if i dont fall into procrastination im gonna made some bigger changes not in the way we play but well doesnt matter i understand myself hahaha.

And I'd like it to be a little more rigorous—for example, if a team is selected by less than 100% of participants, even if it's close to 100% (minus 2-3 players), that team is eliminated from the current round and a replacement is made. It doesn't matter whether it's Bayern or another team. This way, we'll diversify the answers as much as possible.

Today I chose PSG for the third time, if they let me down again, I'm booking tickets to France!

That's probably best idea frm all what I saw so far. Offcourse if there is a way to make such thing automated. If not, don't know how such thing would work manually. You would have to think twice before choosing Bayern. Or use whole your Bayern limit in first 15 rounds and then you would have to choose something from remaining teams.

Ufff this can add a lot of uncertainity and a big pendulum effect on how we select the teams.

I also see a problem, maybe a few dont pick the favorite team thinking about being erased from the selections, so because of that the team end up not being the most selected, and the users who pick them without caring are gonna be gifted of being the only one with the best team in the round. Which is ok but also "lucky".

And do you realize how many times im gonna have to explain it to the new people?

If people dont like picking Bayern every round, than Darbit can select random teams every round.

HI GUYS I MADE A HUGE MISTAKE YESTERDAY!!!! I PUT THE WRONG FORM IN THE ROUND!!!!

That was a perfect confusion trap for Mafia, even I could not plan it better 
Dont worry darbit, top experts dont post their predictions early and they are waiting for others to cast their votes first.
There is enough time left until Friday, and I have to calculate today results from Champions League.

Mafia traps don't work, trust me, if its trap, its mafia. So this was a paid strategy to ensure some guys didn't enter picks into the wrong one

So weird to see no La Liga teams in there, probably the first time it ever happened this whole season. But it will feel nice for a change that nobody has Barca in the spot. Lets try one round without Bundeliga and La Liga

Probably the optimal strategy (not abandoning your favorite team) will be clear right away (it seems all the pool participants are already extremely experienced haha) and this will not affect the participants' picks.
But overall, I understand that the problem with any idea is its implementation. At the very least, it will add work—if a team is cut, you'll have to create a new roster, taking into account the backup picks.
By the way, this idea has a big flaw, now I'm thinking about it: if we first cross out Bayern, then with a 99% probability we'll have to cross out Barcelona, ​​then some other team, since some rounds aren't very diversified.

I like this a lot, but yeah the immediate issues are described by dar already.

The key is not to shift picks, that is difficult in any kind of formula, assuming dar will be doing this manually, an even bigger headache. I would allow the picks to remain, but simply put the incentive to diversify into the formula, and adjust final scores with a bonus multiplier. It can be very small.

A single bonus point, instead, to those who picked say, fewer than 33% of pool AND scored 2+ goals (effectively, you're saying, take the risk, and maybe get 3 goals if they score at least 2), is a simple way that is easy to implement in a spreadsheet.

I like cryptofrka's suggestion (limiting the # of times you can pick a team) and this is done commonly enough (usually you're only allowed to pick a team once) but I'm not convinced this creates diversity as everyone will be picking the top teams during their easiest matchups. Unless you severely limit the picks to maybe 2 or 3 times per season per team... and then everyone is free to choose whichever team they want from the entire league. Also doable on spreadsheet, but harder to debug or discover errors. Unless we ask hosemary to keep watch over

As long as we'd limit it to a reasonable number, it would surely create enough variety - at least compared to what we've got now.
We can also limit league picks - so you have let's say 50 Bundesliga picks per season and eventually need to go Serie A.

But this would work quite well too. Maybe the easiest fix of them all.

Well guys the round is open since the Como game has started. Here as always is the distribution of teams selected for this round 28. Is super strange to post this at this hours 

French teams selected, i think PSG was overselected since they play against Lyon which is not a soft or weak team, but lets see.

One other suggestion for next season, why not have soft deadline? Meaning you just loose teams that are available for choosing if you submit late. That is what Fantasy Challenge has and it works super well. Could be though to implement here, but gratefully it isn't my problem this time so I am leaving it to darxiaomi to figure it out

What a bad start for Como. Damn the 1st half was kinda convincing but they only have 1 goal so far. Im the only one that has Manchester United again lol


Speaking of another suggestion, maybe we could reward the risk taker? Instead of just top 4 or top 5 on each league, expand it to top 8 instead. Anyone that pick top 1st-4th gets 1x goal but 5th-8th will get like extra 10% on the points on each goal or something

but I guess this would really mess up the spreadsheet with all those lousy decimals

Ok ok, I am wide awake and I sent my winning predictions on time.
I had insider information after hacking Mafia devices, so I just copied almost all of his predictions, I just replaced Aston Villa with  Manchester City. 
I know this was a risky move  and I first wanted to pick Aston Villa, but I dropped it because Sunderland is in very good form.

The main problem it is with the selections shown is something i cant fully solve. When the first game start i have to show the selections of everyone for fairness.

To be fair, I think City can score a few against Arsenal. Not the craziest pick.
I was happy with Villa's Europa League game but now remains to be seen whether they rotate - and how much.

City is a great pick now - bot for goals and for Fantasy. Out of Europe and only FA cup to play other than PL.

I didnt expect Lens could score three goals after losing first half with 2:0, but they managed to turn result in second half.
Leverkusen is again losing at home with one goal scored, and I wished I picked Leipzig instead of adding it as reserve team.
It is not going to be easy winning this round when some players already have seven points, but my hope is on Man City and Haaland to explode with goals.

Bayern Munich have won the championship early after beating VFB 4-2 at home, this team is always out of the question because there are no teams like them in the bundesliga.

In the future I hesitate to choose Bayern Munich because it could be a big big rotation and they are only ready for CL only if they want to be serious.
