What are the chances that this account was stolen or sold?

99.9%. Furthermore, there's a good chance its owned by the owner these other aged accounts posting in the same thread:

temple
strunberg

Almost all of XPB's posts have to do with something called PebbleCoin (XPB). I'm going to neutral tag it. This isn't enough to stop accounts from getting in campaigns or participating in contests, but its not my fault some managers have no interest in quality control.

XPB
- Woke up today.
- Password was changed today
- Email address was changed

Thank you logfiles for catching such a xpb id. Noticed this yesterday when I was storing the Security Log data. 28 users/day in the last 12/08/2024: woke up rankeable member 28, password changed: 04 user, Password & mail change: 03 user

Anyway, these accounts should be monitored to see where they move in the future. A lot of such accounts are emerging but what will they do will be seen in the future.

Please don't shitpost in my threads. It is a shitpost because it offers nothing new or of value. You have the entire rest of the forum to post in, so my request shouldn't be a problem. Thanks for your understanding.

Hello logfiles and nutildah,

I hope you'r well. I came to the forum after a long time and changed my old password and email because old passwords and emails are now connected to a new device, so we have to change them for our own needs. Many of us have to move in different directions due to various problems. Changing passwords and emails is not bad, we can do it for our security, it is my personal matter. I don't have any reason here and have known about the forum for a long time, but due to the current gap, you are thinking of me as someone different. It would help if you were happy to say that some old users are still with you.

What are the chances that this account was stolen or sold?
As long as there is no problem or scam or anything outside the rules and regulations of the forum, we cannot say anything to them. And all the accounts that are revived are not changed hands or sold. Old users can come back, so it is wrong to harass anyone like this if they woke up.

logfiles, the things you are doing are good but it is better to look at them a little and see if there is any problem and then report them. I don't think there is a need to report me until you find any mistakes. Thank you

Almost all of XPB's posts have to do with something called PebbleCoin (XPB). I'm going to neutral tag it. This isn't enough to stop accounts from getting into campaigns or participating in contests, but it's not my fault some managers have no interest in quality control.
nutildah, you saw the report and came and tagged it, this cannot be a good thing. You also came to the forum in 2014 and I also came to the forum in the same year but I couldn't give it time so I am lagging. I have changed my password and email for my security and I don't see any mistakes here.
After reaching 100k in Bitcoin, I came to this forum and posted something. I joined some contests in gaming, and for this you cannot tag. Avoid tagging anyone as wrong as you want. Remove the tag you have given.

It is my personal matter to change everything in my account on the forum. Then if you see any mistakes in me, then definitely tag me. And if you don't see any mistakes, then definitely don't tag me. Although many things have changed in the forum now and many updates have been made, many rules and regulations have been added. Although I can't spend that much time on the forum, I will try to stay with you. Thank you.

Remove the tag you have given.

No. There's no way you are the original owner of this account as your English is terrible compared to the original owner. It is the same English that I have seen in probably a dozen bought accounts here. The original owner also knew a lot about coding, QT wallets and mining. From the way you type I'm guessing your technical knowledge of these things is extremely limited. Even if you were able to explain to me the concepts of Delegated Proof of Stake and CryptoNote, you wouldn't be doing it using your own words -- you'd be paraphrasing something you found on the internet.

Fortunately for you a lot of campaign managers don't care if an account is bought or not so you can probably still apply for a campaign.

If my memory serves me right, I've never accepted anyone into a commercial campaign if I saw a tag left by you.  Smiley

With contests, things are different, as it's a bit harder to keep track of the hundreds of daily submissions.

You definitely don't have any good intentions by taking over someone else's account, thus the warnings. You could have created yours from scratch and no one would bother you. So many user accounts wake up every day, why do you think this particular account raised some eyebrows.

I am giving you a chance to prove me wrong.

Log into your GitHub account (https://github.com/xpbcreator), make a small update in one of the repositories and post proof here or else I am going to add a tag to your account, and it might even be negative.

The account, which has another alternate account marked for sale in its history, likely also has no real owner.

Previously, two accounts published faucet sites.

In 2019, the alternate account was marked as for sale.

However, the Bitcoin address belongs to another account, which is also not the real owner.

Saw this one today when perusing the forum, has been the subject of other discussion:

MuffinMaster - registered Dec 2013

This account sent a bunch of merits to seemingly random accounts in a Merry Christmas thread, how nice. They also have a 3-year posting gap between 2014 and 2017, and the account seems to have changed hands at least once since 2017. Posting content goes from Native English level writing in 2014 to the generic half-literate shitposting (in shitposting threads no less) we see today. In short, there's no way this account currently belongs to its original owner.

Here's one:  pakhirgan

Not very old, but just woke up after nearly three years of hibernation, and spammed the forum with 20 posts about some shady AML checking service.  These 20 posts are scattered across the many sections of the forum.

Looks like a hacked or sold account.

Noticed this one today, seems to have switched hands at least a couple of times over the years.

bSpend - registered Dec 9, 2013

The original owner ran a service that allowed people to purchase things with Bitcoin. They conducted a few BTC giveaways and also was part of a global initiative to bring Bitcoin ATMs to countries that didn't yet have them.

A second owner that used the account to run bounties spoke Croatian.

The account was inactive from Mar 2018 - Feb 2024, waking up to apply for a bounty, and has since become a Gambling board shitposter.

I'd say the chances this account belongs to the original owner is about 1%.

Hi nutildah, I trust you are doing OK, i was actually going to pm this message to you, but I decided its more appropriate to make this public, atleast, there is no longer a need to hide anything.

First, I want to begin by telling you that the bSpend account was neither hacked/stolen nor bought, but I am not going to argue on the fact of it changing hands cus it actually did change hands.

Secondly, I know the owner of the bSpend account in person, he is my friend and mentor, he introduced cryptocurrency to me way back 2020/2021, at that time, I knew nothing about this forum until around October 2023 when he told me to sign up here, I did registered an account which is currently in a junior member rank, I knew nothing about the bSpend account but obviously; this was his account though he was no longer active here for a long time because he's already doing very well for himself, and how he obtained this account, i can not tell, whether he bought it or grew the account by himself, I did not ask him until yesterday when I saw the nautral tag, and his response on the phone was that this was his personal account, and that I should simply ignore whatever any user here have said or is saying, but I can't simply ignore since the bSpend account is currently in my possession and I care for it's reputation.

How the bSpend account got in my possession...
Like I did mentioned before,  I was introduced to this forum around October 2023 when I signed up, around January of 2024, I got discussing with my mentor about how hard it was to earn merit and rank up here, having told me all about the forum, I was very interested in ranking up so as to open me up to opportunities, I was asking to know if there was any way other way around the ranking system, but unfortunately, he said there was none, that I have to follow the due process, but he later on told me he would let me have his account since the forum is no longer important to him, he told me he already lost access to the email address he initially registered the account with, that he would change it and let me know after it was done, I said OK, this was in January.

Some time around February, I called him to ask how far about his promise, he simply sent me the loggin email and password to this account - the bSpend account, and that was how I start posting from the bSpend account.

Summary
1. So, you are right about this account changing hands, it was simply handed over to me by a friend and mentor, some one who already is doing very well for himself and no longer have the time or desire to continue to be active here on the forum.

2. You are wrong about the bSpend account being hacked/stolen or bought, I am no technical person and have no knowledge of how to hack, and neither have I paid the owner of this account as a way of purchasing it from him.

3. I have no idea if any one had previously owned this account before the current owner handed it over to me, I have no idea of how to search the history of a bitcointalk account to find any of this out myself, I only know one user before myself, and he's someone I know in person.

Please note that I am not making this post to appeal that you take off your nautral tag on the bSpend account, i am only posting this to debunk the claim that this account was hacked/stolen or bought, non of this is true aside it changed hands.

Your explanation really does not provide cover nor justification for using an account you did not create but are now using it to enrol in campaigns.

Even if we are to accept the account was not stolen or hacked and not even sold, you are stating it was handed to you by somebody that was using it before you. After that the obvious problem arises related to it being very difficult to accept anything you claim because you have lost any credibility as a result of your own admission.

Summary
1. So, you are right about this account changing hands, it was simply handed over to me by a friend and mentor, some one who already is doing very well for himself and no longer have the time or desire to continue to be active here on the forum.

Hi nutildah, I trust you are doing OK, i was actually going to pm this message to you, but I decided its more appropriate to make this public, atleast, there is no longer a need to hide anything.

Good, I prefer it in public; I hate getting PMs about trust ratings.

Secondly, I know the owner of the bSpend account in person, he is my friend and mentor, he introduced cryptocurrency to me way back 2020/2021

Based on your merit send history, I'm not inclined to believe this story. As a matter of fact, looking at this helped me identify another bought account. You may have known the second (or third) owner but its hard to believe you knew the original owner, who was Croatian.

I did not ask him until yesterday when I saw the nautral tag, and his response on the phone was that this was his personal account, and that I should simply ignore whatever any user here have said or is saying, but I can't simply ignore since the bSpend account is currently in my possession and I care for it's reputation.

Here's the problem: its not you. By using this account, you're taking credit for its accomplishments and assuming the guilt of its failures. You don't get a fresh start by admitting this account wasn't yours. You get a fresh start by starting your own account. Just imagine: if you had done this back when your "mentor" introduced you to crypto in 2020/2021, you could have your own Legendary account by now.

Please note that I am not making this post to appeal that you take off your nautral tag on the bSpend account, i am only posting this to debunk the claim that this account was hacked/stolen or bought, non of this is true aside it changed hands.

This would require taking your words at face value, which I don't. If you really want to prove your words, have your "mentor" provide a signed message from any crypto address used on the forum prior to Feb 2018.

You made it sound like you are guarding/protecting the account but after looking at your post history it is prima facie evident that you are impersonating the original account holder and using his prior efforts for your potential financial and social(prestige) gains.
It is good that you honestly admit changing hands but it would have been much better if this admission had come before @nutildah tagged you.

Here's the problem: its not you. By using this account, you're taking credit for its accomplishments and assuming the guilt of its failures.
I am not sure if he is ready for the bolded part of your statement. I could be wrong, though, but circumstantial evidence indicates otherwise.

What circumstancial evidence are you talking about dude?

1. Your admission of the fact that you are not the original owner.
2. Every time you used 'I', 'Me',' My', or 'Myself', in your posts (I have no interest in counting.)
3. The fact that you admitted only after getting tagged, not before.
4. Every time you have applied for signature campaigns with this account.

Your argument is baseless dude, maybe you leave a matter that's been decided and concluded and simply move on to something important, you've done the worst you can do, no need spamming the thread with baseless argument.

A second owner that used the account to run bounties spoke Croatian.
I checked all posts from this member posted in Croatian local board made from 2014 to 2018, and they look real to me.
Account password changed several times after that, and this looks like a totally different person with new writing style.
Maybe account got hacked or something else happened, but he can always come back to our local board and prove he can still speak our language.

Like I did mentioned before,  I was introduced to this forum around October 2023 when I signed up
Oh really?
Than show us your other account from 2023.

, around January of 2024, I got discussing with my mentor about how hard it was to earn merit and rank up here, having told me all about the forum, I was very interested in ranking up so as to open me up to opportunities, I was asking to know if there was any way other way around the ranking system, but unfortunately, he said there was none, that I have to follow the due process, but he later on told me he would let me have his account since the forum is no longer important to him, he told me he already lost access to the email address he initially registered the account with, that he would change it and let me know after it was done, I said OK, this was in January.

Thank you for publicly admitting account ownership was changed.

Like I did mentioned before,  I was introduced to this forum around October 2023 when I signed up
Oh really?
Than show us your other account from 2023.

Of what use will it be now if I show you my account from 2023? So you have more accounts to tag right? Look else where dude 😊

Sounds like another fake ass story, but you can show us conversation proof with original owner (screenshots).
Thank you for publicly admitting account ownership was changed.
Again I ask, of what use will showing you a private conversation I had with the real owner of the account be to you and to me? OK, to feed you ego? I understand but not today.
And thank you for thanking me for being sincere 🤗.
