I've been saying it for a while too dev.....your activity here is THE single most important aspect of this coin's success!!  I agree that if help is needed, you should ask!  Perhaps we can have someone who is in closer contact with you, speak on your behalf here in the thread.  Disappearing for days at a time, especially when there are issues is enough to keep this coin from going very far.

As you can see the community has all but begged for more activity from you, we all just want to be kept apprised of what is going on behind the scenes......again not knowing how busy your schedule is, perhaps this can be resolved with another person that keeps the community up to date with what is going on.

More importantly, our dev needs to not only keep the community better apprised but also needs to understand how important his word is!  Numerous times has made comments of delivering and failed to do so.......while disappearing for days at a time!

On the 22nd, 6 days ago he said "pool payouts will be made tomorrow".  To say this and then disappear for 6 days without delivering is WRONG, this is the type of thing that will keep investors away and keep the coin down!  You just can't do this in business and this seems to be a REALLY bad habit here!!

His account also shows activity on the 25th, WHAT.......so you come on here and still don't even bother to check in with your devoted community, when your community is having problems and waiting for them to be resolved.

I just don't get this!!  Above ALL else, you NEED to stay true to your word!!!!

Hello!

Sorry for the delay with payouts. Please, check your e-mails, everyone should receive a message. Please, confirm your addresses, we are starting to send manual payouts.

As you may know, there are two ways of building the wallet: static (one .exe file) and dynamic (.exe with .dll files).
Windows bug is bigger problem than i thought because we use web-browsing plugin in our wallet, and this plugin makes static build impossible so we have to build dynamic wallets. But if you build dynamic wallet you get that console bug (it is a well-known problem).
We found a temporary solution for the problem, so please wait for the release. It won't take long.

so quiet

Does anyone have a working wallet? I don't.

Allcrypt is delisting KSC Oct 8, because they can't get any connections.

Is anyone able to move coins?

I collect and trade rare and lost cryptocurrencies and blockchains.
Prefer fair launch/no premine, pre-2014 coins.

It appears that the DEV has shut down his "MINING RIG" to keep the BlockChain (BC) running.

I tried to start a simple solo-miner on CPU but when I run it the Qt crashes - can't be done - ugh - at least not on my end.

I have a feeling that since the DEV shut down his/her RIG to keep the BC alive, we have been abandoned - more ugh......

I'm not sure why the Qt Console has been completely fucked that, every time you try to do ANYTHING, it crashes.....

DEV? Is the coin dead and are you in over your head?
(most likely DEV will not respond further but I hope I'm wrong)

I'll say at this point, at the least...... we have a collectors item here...... and that is all

hopefully.................................    I'm wrong

Funny, I came on here earlier to say the same thing then got distracted!  It sucks no doubt, but unfortunately I have say I feel exactly the same.

It appears we have been abandoned!  Dev has turned off his miner, that was the only thing keeping the chain moving......now we are all stuck with wallets that won't sink.

I don't understand it at all.......why all this work with the updates just to disappear?!  There was obviously much time put into this as of late so it makes no sense to me at all.  This dev does seem to have a VERY bad habit of disappearing for days on end, but even if he comes back AGAIN........he has already proven that this bad habit will continue.

He promises to do an escrow for a couple community members, disappears for over a week.  He sends out an email requesting people's addies to pay out was is due on the pool........he disappears again, for what.......2 weeks now is it.  I am sorry, but this kind of shit REALLY pisses me, especially from someone I supported and invested in!

Flat out fucking WRONG!

Hopefully someone else will take it over, is a great coin and project!

is there a way we could fix this on our own?

If no dev steps up to fix this, the nuclear option would be to try to revert back to the old wallet 0.8.6.2 at block 80,000. I don't know if it would be successful, and SwissCex will probably hate this idea.  But if it worked, you'd have your coins back the way they were before the fork, and Kashmircoin could be solo mined with scrypt miners. Downside is that you would lose any coins purchased or earned after block 80k.  I have a copy of the old wallet package and I think I could get the blockchain edited back. It would take everyone working together to pull it off.  I have very little KSC any more, so I really don't have a dog in this race. I just like a crypto challenge. Might be worth waiting a little longer before launching this nuke. People would lose money if we revert, but the alternative might be to lose it all.

Update: I installed the old 0.8.6.2 wallet and it found peers right away. The original blockchain is moving. It started around block 85580. I did not roll anything back on original blockchain, just adding to what synced up.

We'll have 2 Kashmircoins for awhile. If the dev comes back and fixes the forked KSC, I'll stop moving the old one.
Until that day, if it ever comes, I'm going back to the original fork.

If you need it you can get 0.8.6.2 from https://mega.co.nz/#!yBNS0bxa!XjEAyAX5Q876M1hUr39uAFHe8FusdGZIH2Z9FbJ0oJI
(note: I scanned this file for viruses and it did trip quite a few alarms at virustotal.com. I think their falsies, but make up your own mind).

I collect and trade rare and lost cryptocurrencies and blockchains.
Prefer fair launch/no premine, pre-2014 coins.
