I see Merino as someone who will be available first to play for Arsenal, before Odegaard, but until then Ethan Nwaneri showed very good goal scoring ability. He was not the only young player who was good for Arsenal, Myles Lewis-Skelly also made some good passes to Raheem Sterling, for his first assist for Arsenal. The inexperience of Arsenal's goalkeeper Jack Porter was obvious, he was lucky to have a good midfield that made sure to control the game for Arsenal, reducing the work the defenders had to do.
The young players that Arteta used to start that game can actually win that competition for Arsenal or help the team get to the level where the bigger player take over. Those players are reducing the workload for players who play every weekend in the premier league as regular starters for Arsenal.

Ethan Nwaneri seems to be winning over the heart of Mikel Arteta because from time to time Arteta brings him on even in premier league games to get playing time and I notice improvements in Ethan’s game. Yesterday he got on the score sheets with a brace to help Arsenal win against Bolton. I am proud of the player he is becoming as a Nigerian, no doubts he could be a crucial member of the team in the near future.

Funny enough in this round of EFL Carabao Cup that both Liverpool and Arsenal won their games with the same amount of goals scored and received, 5 - 1!
At the same time, most goals were scored in the second half of the game where it is clear to see the difference between a top club and a normal one.
West Ham United should rethink about their future strategy because things aren't going well for them.

Nwaneri was a totally underrated player. He scored two goals against Bolton, though it's Bolton, a third-tier team. But I think he could play Ødegaard's role. His off-the-ball work has been excellent. And I was amazed to see how good, mature, and comfortable he was on the ball.

I don't know how to explain it fully, but he just looks elite. I think it will be good if he joins the first team. He can build chemistry with some of their key players.

It will be way more valuable for him to get more minutes next to the starters; he’ll actually be playing from game to game.

There aren't that many games for a while, all the way until late October, so there aren't that many games left to bet on.

I do like EFL because it is mostly higher league teams vs lower league teams at the start, and that is usually easier to bet on.

There are some cases of shocking results, we did manage to see a few teams who got wins, but usually it is easy. Like United won easily, Chelsea won easily, Villa won, City won, they all won and betting on them was an easy thing to do. So, I guess that betting on EFL is very fun, specially on these early games.

Newcastle managed to win the match but like you, I previously also thought that the match against Wimbledon would be an easy victory for them considering the status of their opponent who is a League two team, but in fact Newcastle who played at home were only able to win with a score of 1-0 and even that goal created from penalty kicks, played most of their main players in the match but they were not able to create more  from 1 goal for get victory, dominated the game almost 78% and created more than 18 chances throughout the match, isn't it quite strange to see Newcastle win 1 goal over a weak team , the victory over Wimbledon made them qualify for the round of 16 of the EFL Cup and a tough opponent has been waiting for them in the continuation of the EFL by facing Chelsea at the end of October later.

I also expect them to score more than two goals but when I looked at their squad, I know that the goals will not be much because when I checked the AFC Wimbledon’s performance in their last five games in all competitions, I see that they can also be serious and will not concede a lot of goals; so as it ended in 1-0, I was not surprised because Newcastle rested some players and they are also not in their best form this season.

We must admit that Owen Goodman who is the AFC Wimbledon goalkeeper played very well by making quite impressive saves, the only thing he could not save was the penalty kick executed by Fabian Schar which also became the only goal for Newcastle victory.
Initially I also felt that Newcastle could get landslide victory by creating at least 2 goal without reply or more, but in reality AFC Wimbledon defensive game is quite strong and they have tough goalkeeper, I see Fabian Schar is still very young and with all the potential I think he can be great goalkeeper if he joins bigger and stronger team in the future.

Newcastle game this season is not really impressive, in the EFL Cup I don't expect much from Newcastle because they will likely be eliminated when facing much stronger team later.
We must understand that here all Premier League teams can be tough opponents for Newcastle, maybe when they meet one of them it can be nightmare for Newcastle later.

I was totally pained to see the match ended 1-0, I predicted the home to score 2 or more goals in the match because they are playing against Wimbledon a league 2 team who are not even doing well in the table. I watch a bit of the match and to be sincere the way newcastle was playing I knew it going to be a difficult win for them, what pained me the most was newcastle had a lot of quality players on the pitch and they couldn't score goals and that the only game that spoilt my ticket with over 20odds that I predicted. I can say since then I haven't recover from that loss.

I have been even thinking lately that I would probably stop adding newcastle to my ticket, this is the second time they are doing this to me. Though last season newcastle won me some cash and that the reason I stick to them again this sesosn but for now I think I will give them break until I'm convinced about their foam them I will start betting on them again.

There is no doubt this is unexpected result from the Newcastle United due to their current form and quality, but we have to understand few things as currently workload is having huge impact on players, so coaches are doing good strategy for keeping things on balance which is bringing results like these.

Newcastle United is having good time in last few weeks, but things are not going as expected, but good thing happen now they are having spot into round of 16 against Chelsea which is going to be exciting match between these two clubs which are trying their best for having better results and Chelsea is having amazing start which was not expected.

Newcastle United were in good shape but still wasting too many chances and lack of finishing is surely hurting them badly they need to be had some good improvement for having better results in coming matches and things are going challenging for all clubs in coming rounds.
