Liverpool Football Club's performance in the EFL Cup final is showing a very weak side, Now it seems that they may have been very disappointed after losing to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League. There is complete doubt as to whether Liverpool will be able to win the trophy against Newcastle Football Club today. 63 minutes have already passed in the crucial Carabo Cup final match but Liverpool Football Club's efforts are not going well, even though they have a balanced team in this final match.

We can see that Liverpool's squad for this final match against Newcastle includes Mohamed Salah, Mac Allister and Van Dijk. For now my prediction for this match is that Newcastle will be able to take home the trophy but Liverpool can't.

Things like this can make a team lose several matches at a stretch. But they are lucky they are topping the league table with a reasonable number of points.

Newcastle deserved it, they wanted it more. Liverpool players went all the way through extra time and to penalties midweek. You could see the lack of energy and sluggishness. Newcastle were fresh after not playing since last weekend.

It is what it is, Liverpool won’t be too upset after the dust settles. It’s the least important cup that PL teams play for. Besides 12 points clear in the Premier League, there is a title to win.

This group of Newcastle have been a big revolution to the club that had been battling relegation few years ago. This is like a great gift to the new Newcastle board and owners who have spent heavily on the team since the Arabs got it. Last two years they came short when Manchester United defeated them and it was sad now they are now champions. Congratulations to them.

In the premier league there's nothing stopping Liverpool from winning the trophy this season, the point gaps from Arsenal who are second on the table is too much for Arsenal to catch-up considering the number of games left to play and there's no way Liverpool are going to lose about 5 games out of the 9 games left to end the season to give Arsenal a chance to close in on them with points.

A lot of us underrated Newcastle united even after how they've battled and succeeded in winning many good sides to get to this Carabao Cup final yet we never saw them as a threat to Liverpool. Newcastle has been a tough side and they came into the game with the right frame of mind and Liverpool couldn't resist them from triumphing from lifting the EFL trophy.

Yeah I also don’t think they can actually bottle up the 12 point gap they currently held. They just need to win their next six matches in the league and regardless of other clubs results they will be crowned champions. For me there is no way they will not win this although mathematically we can say it is possible but looking at even the clubs that are chasing them none is even looking like a club that can go all the way. Their next six matches will be Against middle club or Lower ones except Chelsea and Tottenham who still are not considered as any threat if you ask me.

Luckily for Liverpool they have gather so much point if not it will be naive ending to the season for them. But as you have said next season will be really tough for them because this season none actually counts them among any tittle contenders, some pundits even predicted they won’t finish in the top four but Arne Slot actually got lucky and here they are almost champions although they could have been better with more trophies but it is still a good season for them.

Next season many coaches would have discovered how Liverpool under Slot which will definitely make them know how to play him better, with top players leaving he might be seriously having a tough time except they get busy in the summer transfer window

I stopped watching this game after the first goal because it was so uncomfortable to watch. I have never seen Liverpool play a worse game in a final match like this one. It's unfortunate to see them collapse in less than a week. Perhaps the trauma from UCL elimination is still affecting them but losing this trophy will only make things worse. I just hope what happened to them in 2019 will not repeat itself this season, otherwise, they will have problem winning the league title as well but glad they've secure enough point to create a wider gap between them and Arsenal. Congratulations to Newcastle by the way, they deserve it more.

Liverpool were struggling in the first half and they couldn't add much more to that performance later either. It looks like they couldn't shake off the tiredness of their last Champions League match.

Arne Slot's Liverpool are out of the FA Cup, Champions League and now EFL Cup. A really great start but not the best finish it is going to be. At least they are winning the PL title. Still not the worst start considering it is his 1st year here.

First half of the game between Liverpool and Newcastle in the Carabao cup finals has come to an end with Newcastle leading by a goal from a Dan Burn clinical header. I must say that the first half belonged to Newcastle as they had a total of 9 goal attempts and three on goal whereas Liverpool couldn't register any. Liverpool have won the Carabao cup against Chelsea and it will be the first for Newcastle. As it is it's even a break in history for the Toon Army to get to finals in this competition and a would be a greater one if they can carry the cup.
 Liverpool will not sit back with their arms folded and let Newcastle win so the best thing to do is for them to double the pressure in the second half so they can stop Liverpool from taking it.

Isak has doubled the goal for Newcastle on the 53rd minutes with a marvelous strike to the right corner of the post to make y e scoreline 0-2. Newcastle is dominating the second half breaking through Liverpool defense times without numbers. Liverpool midfield and defense is very poor in the match because Newcastle have wasted several opportunities of scoring more goals.

Eddie Howe's men has become the first coach to give the club a trophy after 56 years. Half a century after and Newcastle are in the news for something great. They deserved to carry this cup right form the beginning of this game since they were the ones applying all the pressure and this is yet another team that proved that Liverpool aren't as threatening as they appear to be. Good job to Newcastle. Hope this stellar performance will not stop here, but rather push for more in the premier league, hopefully finish fourth.

Congratulations to Newcastle United for winning the EFL cup again after 70 years, the Newcastle United team came for the trophy they were very cautious of Liverpool scoring goals even when they were dominating the game but when they had the opportunity they utilized it to punish Liverpool by scoring 2 goals and defending it before Liverpool could score. I think it was a well deserved victory for Newcastle United and to all the Liverpool fans it's time they concentrate on the league and don't let their losses affect their chances of winning the league title this season.

I see a lot of congratulations to Newcastle united already on this thread, a well deserved winning, the spirit in which they used in playing today final was top notch. Eddie Howe as done the impossible, winning Newcastle united a major trophy for over 70years. I think there is no better team that deserves this trophy than them. Alexander Isak again being a key figure for Newcastle, he scored twice but had one ruled out for offside, chiesa got one back for Liverpool with very little time to play. Another player who pulled out a fantastic performance today was Livermento, what a performance from the young man, stopping the most dangerous player in the country Mohammed Salah from scoring.

Arne alot is having an unbelievable season, from having in sight or winning the champions league, premier league and the carabao cup to having just the premier league in sight. This is why the English football remains the most competitive league in the world.
