Of course it’s not impossible for Arsenal to win Newcastle especially after the massive win against Manchester City their spirit will high and will be at full strength to face Newcastle and try to level the goal aggregate and try to win the game but we all know how good Newcastle are when playing against a top team.
We are past half way into the game and Arsenal have already conceded two goals already making it 4-0 on aggregate, it’s a disappointing performance from Arsenal and I don’t think they will be able to make it to the final again. Surely it’s the end of the road for Arsenal and I know the fans will be disappointed and frustrated with Arteta for this inconsistent performance.

Nothing is still impossible in the game of soccer if Newcastle can win Arsenal 2-0 in their first leg Arsenal can possibly win Newcastle with 2 goals or more that is football or Newcastle can still at same time win Arsenal to make home and away defeat.

I believe you that nothing is impossible in football, but for Arsenal at this point, I think it is too late because to score four goals will be very hard even though it is possible within short period of time in some circumstances.
Newcastle United already finished the game in the first leg since they were able to score two goals at the emirate stadium and deny Arsenal a goal at home; and today, they have already scored two goals and they are still in control of the game.

All I have to say as an Arsenal fan is congratulations to them, indeed Arsenal is Eliminated, I just hope we can focus on the Premier League and the Champions League because if we end this season without a trophy, Arteta might get sacked, and Arsenal fans will not be happy as well.

Nothing is guaranteed. The English care about this cup. Every team wants to win it. Newcastle United wanted to win it as much as Arsenal and they showed that by beating Arsenal in two games. They were the better side. No one should be surprised if Tottenham reach the final tomorrow as well. Now Arsenal need to go back to the league, they have that. The points difference is not much.
I don't understand why this cup has single matches and only the semi finals are double matches. It would make more sense to make every match a single match, or make them all double matches. I guess they don't prefer that because it would take too long.

I watched the game and am like, “ is this the same team that played Manchester City “… like these are the same boys but, they were completely overwhelmed by Newcastle United. Newcastle didn’t let their midfield have most of the ball nor did they allow them create anything in the attack. Arsenal underperformed really badly in this game and both home and away, they couldn’t make out a goal. This explains why trophies stay clear of them.

The fact that Arsenal defeated City by 5 goals made me see Arsenal as the favorite for a match, but they could not even find a proper position on the field.
Newcastle literally built a wall and denied Arsenal passage.
I don't know if Newcastle will win the cup with this football. They have never won this cup before, but they held one end of it with their victory tonight.

Bitter truth Newcastle united were the better side in the game than Arsenal as the result of the games from both legs says a lot about that. The second goal from Gordon was a cheap giveaway by the Arsenal goalkeeper's poor passing decision to the Arsenal's defender right in front of the goalpost with Newcastle forwards already on standby.  With this poor performance if carried to the EPL I don't think Arsenal could cover grounds with Liverpool in the title race.

This has been the tradition of the EFL fixtures and it's interesting that way as only teams who qualified to the semi's are given room for a home and away match. I tend to love it this way.

It will not only take too long but will also increase the number of games that the players will need to play, which is something that footballers have already complained about because of the many competitions that they have to play, reducing the time for rest that they have and increasing the chances of injury that they could get from the excessive muscle use without much rest. Arsenal looked exhausted against Newcastle; too many errors from the players. This should be more focus on the EPL for Arsenal.

Honestly I did not expect Arsenal to go through after they had already lost the first leg 2:0 to Newcastle but I also expected them to at least win the game by let's say one goal, but to actually lose the game by the same scoreline as the first leg is very embarrassing.

Quite surprised to see Arsenal performance in the Carabao Cup semi-final today, they did not appear like when they beat Man city with a landslide score in the premier, I thought their big win would boost the players mentality so that when they played against Newcastle today I would be shown the same performance from them but it turned out I was wrong, Arsenal again showed inconsistency.
In the first leg Arsenal lost 2 goals to Newcastle today in the second leg they had to lose again with the same score.

I knew it was going to be difficult for Arsenal to overturn the 2 goals deficit after the first leg at Emirates stadium. Newcastle outplayed them that they, so there was no way Newcastle were going to allow that advantage slip over their fingers. Besides Newcastle are not Manchester city, and Arsenal were going to play at St. James park. Newcastle has more determination to lift this trophy more than Arsenal, hence the reason why they played more aggressively. The Caraboa cup is Newcastle only opportunity to win silverware in years. Whereas Arsenal are seeing the Caraboa cup as non priority. They are turning their attention to the premier League and champions League, hoping that Liverpool will slip. It's even better for Arsenal to exit the competition so that their attention won't be divided.

For the second time Arsenal has failed to win Newcastle. Can they ever win Newcastle? I surely doubt their capability. After failing to win Newcastle in the Caraboa cup they still need to be prepared to face them in the EPL soon. I agree with you, Arteta should put in more effort in his duty as head coach of Arsenal football club because if you take Arne Slot performance for example, who just came in to the league and took charge of Liverpool, is on the verge of lifting the Premier League trophy, then it means Arteta is not doing exactly what he should do because, this should be the season Arsenal has a superb opportunity to lifting the premier since Manchester City loosed form and slightly dropped out of the race.

I saw this image on the internet with the caption ‘5 years with a coach, only 1 FA cup despite all the showcase. Stay humble guys, come learn football from Manchester City so you can stop bottling.’ I feel bad for Arsenal because their joy was short lived. That’s the truth, no jokes man. When it does matters, when it’s just a couple of games to seal the deal for them and put other teams out of business, you find a fatigued team that wouldn’t be able to beat teams within the relegation zone. How do they expect to win any trophy playing like that… Arsenal out to have been way past that after similar results for at least 2 seasons but no, here they are again, letting history repeat itself. Arsenal seems to lack title or trophy winning mentality and their manager seems to lack focus. I have advised them severally on the need to focus on one title or trophy and just try to win it. A lot of Arsenal fans will not want to accept this but it is the truth. Arsenal lack a winners mentality, they celebrated that win against Manchester City like they won the Premier League. It's really hard to believe that Arsenal had to suffer another defeat and of course I thought that in the 2nd leg match Arsenal would avenge their defeat in the 1st leg match, but unfortunately Arsenal had to swallow the bitter pill again in this match because they lost again to NewCastle. In my opinion, this was the fault of Arsenal's defenders who were careless which ultimately made Newcastle's attacks difficult to contain and of course now in the Carabao Cup Arsenal will no longer play because they have given Newcastle the opportunity to play in the Carabao Cup Final.

But to be honest, I was also amazed by Newcastle's confidence when playing, he was really careful and calculating when attacking, which ultimately produced satisfactory results. and of course now the trophy is waiting for them as long as they can win the final match. and of course Newcastle is now just waiting for Tottenham's result against Liverpool and of course we won't know whether Liverpool will be able to win or not because in the 1st leg Liverpool lost and of course here if Tottenham can play a draw it will certainly make Tottenham progress to the final. But honestly, I predict that Liverpool will have great potential to qualify for the final even though they didn't win in the first leg, but I'm sure that in the second leg Liverpool will have great potential to win. what do you all think?
