To some extent, I don't blame Tottenham because they obviously have depleted squad and some of their players are clearly a fraction of their fittest self. The thing is, it is almost impossible to win everything, but as a team, you must try to lay hands on as many trophies as possible. This is the mentality of teams like Manchester city, Liverpool, Real madrid and few others. Liverpool has always have that strong mentality to win as many trophies as possible. I remembered some seasons back when they won both the Fa cup and the carabao, after defeating Chelsea in both games on penalty. Those two trophies where the only thing they could get, so they did it with determination. This is the same mentality that other top teams don't have(won't want to mention names now). They play as if they are only focused on winning one title, and at the end of the day, they gey kicked out and end up not winning anything.

Spurs where no match for Liverpool. A team that has good attack, from the midfield line upfront, will definitely win games well. And playing a low block football against them was a very bad idea, because spurs isn't even good at playing such style.

I would rather trust Manchester City for a top 4 finish than to trust Newcastle, with how Nottingham Forest is in form, they might end up in top 4 thereby providing only one more slot. Chelsea and Bournemouth are right behind thereby making the top 4 race tight. Any team that wants to fit in right now needs to be consistent or it will face booting out, consistency is key.
