Finally, Newcastle are the champions of the EFL cup 2025. After 70 years, these sets of Newcastle finally brought the trophy home, what a time to be alive as a Newcastle fan, congratulations to them. What a sad week for Liverpool, got knocked out of the Champions League few days ago and today they lost the EFL finals to Newcastle. I think it was a well deserved victory for Newcastle United and to all the Liverpool fans it's time they concentrate on the league and don't let their losses affect their chances of winning the league title this season.

At this point, i really feel sad for Liverpool. After playing perfectly from the start of the season, only to start dropping out from competitions that they where called the favorite. I can't really imagine how those players would feel, because they've been running tirelessly from the start of the season, and we all know that Liverpool's football is a pace kind of football. At this point, i hope their mentality is not completely affected. They have about 9 more games to go in the Premier league, and are 12 points clear. Mathematically, they are not the champions yet, and checking their next game which is against Everton, i don't think the boys are ready to go through times like this. They just have to remain focus, even if their remaining fixtures are quite complex.

And as for Newcastle. Congratulations to them. They did what was needed and defended well. Arsenal failing to beat them caused so many noice, but i think  tonight's game prove that Newcastle can as well be a very stubborn side. That Liverpool goal was just a consolation, because Newcastle isn't that team that can easily throw good lead away especially at that very crucial moment.

Liverpool had high expectations among their fans and not only that, many people thought they would be the team that dominated the title this season. In fact, all of those expectations almost completely failed (except the Premier League), which is clearly very disappointing. I am sure all fans are disappointed with Liverpool's poor performance in today's final match, but they still have to rise and pursue their ambitions in the Premier League.

The season is certainly not over for the Premier League, but Liverpool have the best chance of winning the title especially since they have a very large points advantage. Liverpool are leading the standings with a 12-point gap over Arsenal, so I think it is safe to expect them to maintain it until the end of the season. Even if they lose a game or two, Arsenal cannot catch them anymore.

The hope Liverpool fans have on them has completely reduced, they could have boosted their confidence if they have won this Carabao Cup against Newcastle United, but it seems like fatigue has started disturbing the players because they don’t have any injuries record recently.

I'm a Liverpool fan and I honestly can't understand what the hell is going on. When we played against PSG, Liverpool's defense made very childish mistakes. They also lacked creativity in attack. It was a horrible game. Today I watched another horrible game. It even got to the point where Liverpool players made mistakes in their passes. It was very clear that they were disoriented. If Newcastle were effective in attack, they would have scored at least 5 goals in that game. I'm a Liverpool fan and I honestly can't understand what the hell is going on. When we played against PSG, Liverpool's defense made very childish mistakes. They also lacked creativity in attack. It was a horrible game. Today I watched another horrible game. It even got to the point where Liverpool players made mistakes in their passes. It was very clear that they were disoriented. If Newcastle were effective in attack, they would have scored at least 5 goals in that game. I think Liverpool is faced with an onset of fatigue among the players. They have been so lucky not to have so many of their players get injured but, the starting 11 has most of the time been pretty much the same so over time they also get tired and fielding young inexperienced players who haven't had much regular football does not help most of the time.

The Exit for the FA, Champion's league and Carabao cup in a very short space of time can not be ignored, especially for a team that some people though would even win a treble.

Luckily, they have a very healthy gap in the EPL, but it's not yet over for now.

I was pessimistic before kick-off because Arnold and Allison were not fielded due to injury. And, after watching Newcastle struggle in the first half, I'm very convinced that the Carabao Cup trophy won't be achieved like the Champion League trophy after losing versus PSG. Now, their hope is only premier league thropy which can possible be unachievable also if they lost on consecutive match. I don't know what happen on this club, maybe they were tired and don't have spirit to get many trophy for this session. Liverpool is look different like before where they always struggle when competing in a crucial match.

First, CONGRATULATIONS TO NEWCASTLE UNITED their well deserved victory against big Liverpool, which is by the way in its best season from years. Newcastle United was eliminated from FA Cup earlier and doesn't have a chance, almost, in the English Premier League title at the opposite of Liverpool.

Initially Liverpool were expected to win at least 3 titles this season which showed very extraordinary increase in performance but as time went on entering the end of the season they performed poorly, were eliminated from the UCL and now Liverpool were defeated by Newcastle in the Carabao EFL final.

All of this remains really disappointing result, leaving only the Premier League that can give Liverpool the title, maybe next season they can rise and compete for the title in several competitions but they are likely to lose their main players and this is the reason why this season many fans really hope Liverpool will win several titles because they are still in perfect squad.

Newcastle deserved it, they wanted it more. Liverpool players went all the way through extra time and to penalties midweek. You could see the lack of energy and sluggishness. Newcastle were fresh after not playing since last weekend.

It is what it is, Liverpool won’t be too upset after the dust settles. It’s the least important cup that PL teams play for. Besides 12 points clear in the Premier League, there is a title to win.

I'm beginning to hate Liverpool lately because are becoming annoying, is it that they are only interested in the Premier League this season and don't want to add any other trophy? This scenario now was seemingly what happened to them the season that Jürgen Klopp resigned his job as Liverpool manager, they were favorite in the champions then to have lifted the Champions League trophy due to their form, Premier League and FA Cup that season, and until at some point, just as it's happening now everything began to fumble, they shift from topping the Premier League table and start losing significant matches and points which affected them hugely, which I think they won Chelsea and only managed to lift the FA Cup that season.

I always believe what the commentators says about history because they're professionals in their job. They're running a live commentary that everyone in the world is listening to, I don't think that they will say what they don't know. Infact, commentators information is more reliable than from any source. Newcastle pulled a big hit on Liverpool yesterday which was quite surprising. I take a bow to them.

Liverpool surprised everyone this season with their performance, Liverpool is the best team that everyone thought they could win the treble this season but as it stands now Liverpool only has one trophy to win and that is the Premier League, the reason they can win the Premier League is because that they are ahead of teams in the league table with huge points that can not easily afford, Liverpool performance just suddenly changed after they got defeated by PSG in Champions League and yesterday they got defeated by Newcastle.
