Finally, Newcastle are the champions of the EFL cup 2025. After 70 years, these sets of Newcastle finally brought the trophy home, what a time to be alive as a Newcastle fan, congratulations to them. What a sad week for Liverpool, got knocked out of the Champions League few days ago and today they lost the EFL finals to Newcastle. Liverpool conceded a goal again after the break to further put Newcastle ahead in the tie.

Last week and this weekend is a treble week for Liverpool football club,  beacuse they just crashed out of the champions league competition over the week by losing in a penalty shootout against the German club PSG and today again they've lost the EFL trophy to Newcastle United. does this signal Liverpool a decline in their form, because I wasn't really expecting Newcastle to defeat Liverpool on a normal 90 minutes game without them going into penalty shootout. Big accolades to Newcastle United for this achievement.

This match they always lost in aerial duels, besides that they also could not provide anything good in terms of attack because indeed apart from Newcastle playing very well in this match they also had the same problem where the finishing was really bad. Chances of a quadruple even treble winner are just gone and for now Liverpool only allows for the EPL but if their performance continues like this even though their points are far enough now when they can't focus and get the title quickly and Arsenal always gain points there could be open competition again and it depends on Arsenal and Liverpool themselves in the EPL later.

The only reserved hope they lean on is the Premier League, we already fortified them as the champions but how bad the season has gone past, they are the most favorable but it's high time they look into details so not to as well lose the PL title at the very least moment.

Newcastle was on a world class level and even Liverpool couldnt do anything against them in this match. It is surprising to me that the Newcastle team has been able to win the domestic title after almost seventy years, yet it may be very satisfying for them because Newcastle won this final match against Liverpool. It’s a very terrible week for Liverpool, Just in the space of a week they have shattered their hope of winning the treble, the fans must be disappointed after believing they could win the treble and then all hope was lost and they bottled two cups in a space of a week in back to back matches. We all thought after losing to PSG they would console themselves and the fans with the Carabao Cup but it turned out that Newcastle came very prepared and didn’t give them the chance.

I think you don’t know Newcastle well enough if not you wouldn’t think they are unserious team, they are one of the strongest teams when it comes to playing against the top teams so I expected them to make the game difficult for Liverpool but I didn’t think they could end up winning the game. I think they have been fatigued or something or mentally down after getting dumped put of the Champions League Competition by Paris Saint Germans. They also had injury crises affecting  the squad,  I mean.skme certain players like Alexander-Arnold. Asides that,  they had a white performance, it was late in the second half they stepped shit up but it was too late for that. Proud of the 'Castle squad but more for Isak he has done well in the Premier League Competition even against most of the top sides.  I'll love to see him leave for Arsenal though  so he can also help them lift the Premier League Competition.

Liverpool on the dream of winning 3 trophies this season have now on the premier league in sight. After being knocked out of the premier league by Paris saint German after 120 minutes of football, I think it okay to say it must be fatigue. For the first time since Mohammed Salah signed for Liverpool he failed to attempt a shot in a whole game. Newcastle looked more comfortable than in that match, they had more chances and they converted.

I don’t think Alexander isak will be leaving next season, he has been a very key player for Newcastle this season. And Newcastle are fighting for a place to participate in the champions league next Season so they won’t want to lose any key player especially in Isak. Again I don’t think arsenal can afford him, isak is valued around 80-90 million. Arsenal can’t afford to spend such money on just one player.

Disappointing loss against Newcastle in the league cup finals, they would have been celebrating a double at the end of the season. Hopefully Liverpool gets consolation with the Winning the EPL title at the end of the season. This is the lesson for underestimating your opponent, instead of playing with full squad in final, you mix it with weaker player.

Changing Alisson with Kelleher is the worst idea, Kelleher's reflect is slow compared to Alisson. I agree Liverpool is under perform in this match, Salah didn't even give a big contribution, but with Alisson, they can at least brought this match to penalty.

This could be a great opportunity for Amorim to experiment or simply give their young players some playing time. Yes, apart from what we have pointed out, we still need to acknowledge the fact that Amorim is yet not certain of his first eleven. Imagine the position he played Amad the last meeting with Fulham. I am also not confident the position he plays Mount as false 9 or whatever he does. I just think that a simple 4-3-3 will work well for Manchester United. Just get a strong midfielder and play Cunha, Bruno and Mbeumo or you play Cunha, Sesko and Mbeumo. The return Bruno as a top central midfielder which will always join attack ie 4-3-3 B. The play Casimero and Mainoo as double 4 and the play your natural 4 men defence and all will be well.
