Man City, Newcastle, Spurs, and Arsenal are the favorites and should have relatively easy wins in these matches. The question is, could there be an unexpected upset in any of these 4 games?

I'm considering putting all 4 favorites into a parlay, but the total odds are pretty low.

There might be a surprise in one of their matches but I don't expect it. Just look at the lowest odds from the bookmakers for these lower-tier teams, which are @12.00, given to Doncaster Rovers. The rest of the odds for the other teams are higher. So I'm pretty confident that the favorites will overcome them easily. Regarding betting, I think we can consider the handicap option, with an average handicap of -1.5 for parlay. Overall the odds are quite reasonable and quite profitable, at @5.66.

Plenty of surprises already in the EFL and I don't think there will be much today. All four Premier League teams are doing good and plus the teams they are facing are not that strong, all those coming from League one, the third tier league.
The most competitive one surely would be Newcastle vs Bradford as Newcastle is struggling in Premier League while Bradford is the table leader for League One. Still, here Bradford has over x23 for a win. I think its too risky to bet on any, we are getting low odds for Premier League teams while very high fore the 3rd tier league teams. Maybe both team to score for Bradford vs Newcastle @2.5 could be a good option.

Just like Liverpool and Chelsea yesterday Arsenal, Tottenham, and Manchester City are all expected to have easy win to progress to the next round including Newcastle United because they will have an easy win despite the fact that their squad isn’t that good because they lost a reliable striker, but Bradford isn’t that good enough because we never see them play, but I am very sure that Newcastle United will trashed them.

Brighton easily thrashed Barnsley 6-0 in the third round. Gomez scored four goals to earn man of the match. He also enjoyed perhaps the most special night of his career. Chelsea and Liverpool also appeared to be surprise winners, so far.

Brighton has started this season really well, so this win isn’t a surprise for me because Brentford tried last season and they will do their best to go far in this competition because they will want to win it.

Was Hugo Ekitike celebration last night against Southampton not too much? What must have prompted him to have that iconic celebration against Southampton. A team they should have won comfortably without much noise. A celebration that was so important to him that made him forget that he was already on yellow card. Now he will miss his team visit to crystal palace this coming weekend. Am sure the manager will be very furious with him even though Arne Slot won't say it.

Absolutely agreed with you mate. Ekitike's celebration was too much. It's a silly mistake by him. He deserves a bit of a bollocking by his manager, but i can't also put all of the blame on him. He might be too exciting with the game, that's why he los his control. The good thing he apolgizes his mistake through his IG, and hope he learn from his mistake.

Other than that i'd like to highlight how stupid the rule. There must be an exception for a player who also wear an underlayer. That rule must be revised.

Arsenal have many attractive offers, one of which is Sporting Lisbon football club's Victor Gyokeres who recently won the award for being the top goalscorer. So it might be difficult for Port Vale to defend against these players because they like to play football at their own pace. Even it seems that this EFL Cup game could be a bit challenging for the Gunners as they shared points against Manchester City in the new season's PL in the previous match. But on the other hand, the English representatives' opponents, League One club Port Vale, managed to create a suffocating situation against Mansfield Town in their domestic league and they won that match.

Not sure if it was all about emotions. A professional football player with a yellow card already should have known better. I guess he was probably trying to make a statement. Being in a competition with a very good striker is definitely something to bother about. Every player wants to be the key main figure in every starting eleven, so I guess that shirt was probably a sign that he can do it better.

Of course, there was no point of doing it anyways, but like I said, he ought to have known better. And it was another game that points out the minor flaws currently in the team. They've been winning their games with a one goal difference for sometime now. Now sure of long this strategy is going to continue.

Ekitike was very much unprofessional at that one. The goal wasn't even a thrilling one. I mean he scored an empty net as the assist was so perfect. He was carried away and did only reclaim when Frimpong confronted him but it was too late then.

A lot of people are surprised including me too, well I felt maybe he also forget he had received a yellow card. It a good thing they have good option, imagine maybe isak transfer didn’t later work out for Liverpool and he act in this manner how will Liverpool cope in their next match.

Just like you say, this could be the chance that Alexander Isak might just needed to label himself as the first choice, so far Ekitike is settling well in the team but won’t be available in the next premier league game because of This red card.

Let see if Alexander Isak will get his first premier goal for the reds as they travel to crystal palace this weekend.

Well, the number of goals they score matters but the most important thing is achieving the 3 points so they'll qualify for the next round so regardless of the amount of goals they ought to make sure that the 3 points is achieved cause it's what matters most, well I believe the big teams in the EPL.

I think we all expect all the strong teams to get a win today, all of them are playing against weaker teams so their is not way the weak teams are going to win today, I expected the strong teams to win with reasonable goals, but Arsenal have been able to score just a goal in the match, most people bet on over 1.5 in the match, I don’t know why Arsenal are not scoring more goals in the match, 1 goal is not just enough.

Not only in domestic cup games but in all competitions, look at the Europa league results today you will see are lot of unexpected results that just massively contributed in destroying today's activities. Imagine malmo ff losing to ludogorat and fenerbahce losing to Dinamo Zagreb in an unimaginable manner so classifying domestic cup games as an unpredictable league is never supposed to be done at any time.
In as much as football is concern we must expect everything be it believable or unbelievable performance because it do happen at all time. Example when Manchester United played Grimsby city,  all predicted direct win for Manchester united but the unimaginable happened and they lost in a narrow way to Grimsby city so expect everything in football.

Yes it's the same football association so yes it carries to the PL matches, he will miss the weekend game. Sanchez will return back to action this weekend after serving his Red card ban against Lincoln yesterday.

Indeed that’s what makes it a lot difficult. For lower divisions, it’s all they play for, it’s the best they could hope for a trophy and so, they’ve got to give it all they’ve got, aggressive defenses and swift counters.
For the elite teams, it’s where you try to favour strategy ahead of fielding most of your best players knowing that, they could be taken out and you need them to play important games in important leagues.

They all found a way to win but, I don’t think this means much for the future of Newcastle in the EPL, not until they are able to fill in Isak’s void.
