My favourites are Chelsea, Manchester City and Newcastle in the below 3 matchups. However I don't have a clear favourite in the Arsenal - Crystal Palace one. 

I know Arsenal just defeated them in the PL. It was a tough one also though. Things might change in the Carabao Cup. Rotations etc... If Arsenal play the match with their main lineup then I would favour them certainly.

Otherwise be ready for the big Crystal Palace threat there...

Fulham will be obviously gone so soon since Newcastle are very good at home this season. They have gathered more points at home so I expect a strong performance from them.

Chelsea are tittle hungry, let's see if that shaky defence of theirs will help them help them against Cardiff. Arsenal struggled with defeating  clubs like this last season. They have a win already against them this season. This should be the next.

Honestly I think Crystal Palace shouldn't be underestimated in the EFL Cup. You shouldn't forget that they are the last champions of the FA Cup and Community Shield. They are doing quite well in these competitions with Glasner.

However they are going to have their most serious test against Arsenal at Emirates in the quarter finals... If they manage to eliminate Arsenal in this round then I'll start favouring them for the trophy seriously.

They won't have the same luck they had last season of facing a weak Liverpool side. This time they have better teams than Liverpool ahead of them.

Crystal Palace can indeed overthrow Liverpool twice but with a note that Liverpool are not in a state of excellence from all the matches they have handled in recent weeks so it is quite natural that Crystal Palace can beat Liverpool it will not be a strong reason when going to compete with Arsenal who fulfill all their matches very well, if we talk about match data that has occurred in the EPL and Arsenal matches in other leagues.

Crystal Palace will definitely put pressure too, they will fight with all their might to win.

Quite some interesting fixtures in the Carabao cup, Arsenal are already used to this fixture with crystal palace so I expect them to win though with a little of struggle because they wouldn't want Arsenal to hit them twice, and for Chelsea, I expect them to get a convincing win because their opponent shouldn't be to tough for enough to withstand them, and for Manchester city, I don't think they have would have much issues dealing Brentford due to their form at the moment , then Newcastle seem like favourites even if they lost against Westham in the EPL yet they could beat Fulham.

I'm sure not many people paid attention to the Chelsea. They are anomaly club. The god seems put more attention to them as they were being rewarded with easy opponent due to their abysmal performance against Wolves.

The most easiest fixtures to predict. So i don't need to pay attention to the rest. Just bet on Chelsea and grab some money.

Newcastle United have been a very mature team at home this season, the last time Tottenham Hotspur visited Newcastle we saw that this team was in a very aggressive mood as the home team. Even so, based on Premier League statistics, we cannot put any team ahead in this Carabao Cup match. Newcastle United's opponent in the EFL Cup match is Fulham Club, this team's statistics are even weaker and more disgusting because they won their last match of the tournament in a dramatic manner against Wycombe and winning that match became extremely miserable for them.

By the way, this upcoming match at St. James' Park may be a tough one for both teams and they will face a testing situation, since we know Newcastle have been very strong at home so far, they may try to focus more on the quarter-final round of the EFL.

I think arsenal is the main focus and targwt of winning that trophy because they are currently in good form and I don't see any team as of now that can actually play only accept maybe arteta decides to gamble the trophy and set his focus on maybe the league or the champions league matches and possibly make changes that can later affect their performance in that team if not it will be very difficult for them to win arsenal in that cup.

The teams remaining in the competition are not inferior league teams but more of the EPL teams, so the competition has become tougher and warrant all teams to start their star players, maybe teams like Arsenal that are more focused on winning the Premier title would rotate their team but i don't expect Chelsea or Manchester City to rest their players, well you're on point about the tight schedule and I think coaches with lots of squad depth would consider rotating their squad including the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City I just mentioned.

Carabao Cup is more like a major trophy compared to the last trophy which they won in 2023. Arsenal wants this title no matter how little it might be compared to Premier league trophies, they will see the game as important, already they are some good standing away from the rest teams, Crystal Palace won the FA Cup, they are not small teams not to release measure efforts, Arteta should not joke by starting his young players over players that will win him the game, in the last match after the substitution, the game changed and winning was secured after the first goal, since it will be all Premier league teams, it will be very top fixtures.

Most people attention isn’t in Chelsea match, because it’s just obvious that Chelsea will be winning the match, I don’t know how hard their opponents will try, but they can’t win Chelsea. Chelsea won’t be finding the match difficult, they will be playing against a weaker opponent, which am sure Chelsea will be able to win the match. Chelsea are just lucky that they won’t be playing against a strong team, Maresca won’t even have to make use of his main squad to defeat Cardiff city, it’s going to be a easy match for Chelsea.

This is about a matter of priority, because they prioritize the Premier League and the Champions League more, teams like Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea, and Newcastle will certainly rotate most of their players when playing in the EFL Cup in the future. Actually, that is a very good opportunity for other contenders to create surprises, and give them an easier path to win the EFL Cup.

Nevertheless, I think the competition going forward will still be fierce, all teams actually want to achieve success in every competition they participate in. Most managers rest their key players when playing in the EFL Cup to give minutes to second string players, besides wanting to keep key players away from heavy workloads that can increase the risk of injury.

Giving it to Chelsea, Manchester city and Arsenal to win their respective games isn't that I take the predictions to be really easy in real sense, it's the statistics of these various teams paired with their opponents that informed my predictions of them winning their games. I agree with you that in English football the smaller teams are no respecter of the elite teams, hence, I don't neglect the fact that there could be some surprises but by risk measurement any football fans would pick these teams for winning than doing the opposite.

It's more than a month since the fourth round finished. Finally, another Carabao game to come again. The opening match is Chelsea vs Cardiff. You know how Chelsea gets a fortune caused by they get the weakest opponent compared to the other games. They're getting blessed by the god.
It's wise for me to go all in on Chelsea. I aware their h2h ain't that good against Cardiff, but i consider their superior squad as the main differentiate.

My prediction is that Chelsea will play with their 2nd squad, then put some main team squad during the 2nd half. If that's scenario will happen, i'm doubting them to win with the great score. So betting straight on Chelsea is my preferred choice, though it's offering only 1.38.
