It's more than a month since the fourth round finished. Finally, another Carabao game to come again. The opening match is Chelsea vs Cardiff. You know how Chelsea gets a fortune caused by they get the weakest opponent compared to the other games. They're getting blessed by the god.
It's wise for me to go all in on Chelsea. I aware their h2h ain't that good against Cardiff, but i consider their superior squad as the main differentiate.

My prediction is that Chelsea will play with their 2nd squad, then put some main team squad during the 2nd half. If that's scenario will happen, i'm doubting them to win with the great score. So betting straight on Chelsea is my preferred choice, though it's offering only 1.38.

The match has now ended, and Chelsea won Cardiff by 1:3. Cardiff gave Chelsea a tough time in the first half and even when Chelsea manages to score in the second half Cardiff equalized until the 82nd minute when Pedro Neto separated the score for Chelsea before Alejandro Garnacho scored the third goal and that was it. When Alejandro Garnacho scored the first goal i just recalled when he scored against Sunderland in the Premier League but in the end Sunderland won so i was like let same thing not happen in this match and as soon as Cardiff equalized i was like i said it and i became scared that Chelsea might lose. Anyways thanks to Alejandro Garnacho's second goal that made me exhale a sign of relief.

Tomorrow and Tuesday matches are more challenging because they include teams from Premier League in both sides at the opposite of today's match. Chelsea has finally qualified for the semi finals after beating Cardiff 3 - 1 away from home and we await for the other 3 teams to play. Manchester City will face Brentford and Newcastle will face Fulham tomorrow while Arsenal Vs Crystal Palace game was scheduled to be on the 23rd of December. Chelsea were sure going to win but after they played a goalless draw in the first half made me to think that maybe they will win by either 1 or 2 goal score line. After Chelsea scored and Cardiff equalised I was disappointed and thinking maybe Chelsea is at it again but finally they came up with 2 more goals to see of the game.

This weak Cardiff as you would like me to believe didn’t play like a weak team today. These are league one champions and today, they were having one of their “A” games. Getting a first half goalless draw and even when Chelsea scored their first with Garnacho punishing them for their mistake, it didn’t take long for them to find a way back into the game.

They coordinated a tactical game play with Turnbull running inbetween Chelsea defenders and took a clean header to the side of the net. There was no way the goalkeeper was saving that.
They wrrr just unfortunate not to hold it off because soon, Pedro Neto came asking questions and got the second for Chelsea, Garnacho again from running behind got his third and that was game over for Cardiff.

The Chelsea vs. Cardiff match was very exciting because Cardiff, as the host, fought to win and didn't want to be embarrassed by Chelsea. The game was boring because of some players that start the game, Enzo Maresca is a coach that like taking risk, with the way Chelsea played the game, if it was against a big team they will lose the game because Chelsea players are not serious, the first half of the game was something I can’t explain because there is no goal in the first half, thanks to the substitute players that tried their best to make sure Chelsea win the game and qualify for the next round of the competition.

Of course Cardiff won't be able to win. What's more natural than this? There is a gigantic power gap between them and Chelsea.

Cardiff are literally in the 3rd league while Chelsea are in top 4 in the Premier League. Even with reserves Chelsea are much stronger than them.

Enzo Maresca did the right thing by rotating the lineup. The schedule is challenging and the players needed some rest.

Cardiff deserves to be promoted because they would fit in in premier league because the way they handle the match they could have won Chelsea if there was no substitution for Chelsea because it was the entry of Garnacho, Joa Pedro and Gusto Chelsea began to dominate, when I saw the starting I was thinking what happened to Chelsea to have use all this players while the ones that needed to be in the match are not there but I didn't no he wanted to experiment on the first half so that if the first half players could handle it then he continues with them and if they cannot handle then the main one comes in.

In my opinion, Enzo's decision to field his second string was a good move, as it was clearly intended to keep the first team players fresh. Enzo must have already assessed the strength of his upcoming opponent (Cardiff). Now that Chelsea has defeated Cardiff, they are waiting to find out who their opponent will be in the semifinals.

Yes, the other matches, such as tomorrow's and the others, will definitely be more exciting because those teams are from the English Premier League. Now I am also curious about tomorrow's match between Manchester City and Brentford. Yeah for sure. The first half is kinda boring, but it's due to the 11 players rotation being made by Maresca. However, things changed after he subbed some important players in. Happy to see Garnacho who was cooking Cardiff.
Everything was going like what i have expected, and easy win for sure, thought the odds is literally small.

They're gonna face City in the upcoming game, which is very exciting game to come. Why i said City? It's caused by Brentford has no chance to beat my favorite club, City.

I initially assumed Chelsea could win this game comfortably with their reserve squad but I was wrong. Cardiff gave them a tough game with 50/50 chances until they introduced some star players that later changed the game. Garnacho did not played the full match, he was introduced in the second half and scored the opening goal. Neto scored the score goal to put Chelsea back on the lead after Cardiff City scored equaliser. Garnacho scored the second goal at extra time to solidify their victory.. Both Garnacho and Neto came in as substitute which means Chelsea reserve can not win against Cardiff City that play in the lower division. That's pathetic thou.

In today's fixtures, Manchester City will find it easy beating Brentford. Newcastle and Fulham will be interesting to watch but I will bet on Newcastle. Arsenal seems to have toughest fixture in today's game.

I managed to watch the game after coming home from work late. Cardiff played so well, but the poor defence cost them the loss they had yesterday. And also, their goalie is not a good one. I watched the angle Garnacho scored his second goal; the goalie should have saved the ball. 3 goals scored by Chelsea were out of poor defence. They can hardly score a Premier League club that way.

Anyway, it doesnt matter in the end. Chelsea have moved to the next stage of the Carabao Cup. Manchester City is to face Brentford today.
