Just last night Manchester City after beating Brentford 2 - 0 at the Etihad and Newcastle after beating Fulham 2 - 1 joins Chelsea in the Semi final of the EFL cup. Now they await either Arsenal or Crystal Palace who plays few days from now to join them. I'm hoping Arsenal pulls through and I want them to be paired either with Chelsea or Manchester City for the semis. I just want to enjoy the semi final and the final because it's almost certain that 2 big teams will meet up in the finals.

Of course we were hoping an easy opponent and also it's not a fixture Manchester City also wanted, I believe they are also not happy playing Chelsea at this early stage yet it's not just Chelsea feeling that way. Chelsea is an improved side now especially against big teams so I don't think it will be less easy Manchester City  than it will be for Chelsea. It would have been more interesting if they were to meet in the final. They still haven't faced in the premier league yet this season but I believe both will interesting games to watch.

Of course there is no guarantee that Manchester City will win the game and city are also not happy they are facing Chelsea although playing against Brentford would have been much easier. They are not as though as they used to be and Chelsea have improved a lot recently so I also believe they can challenge them.

Manchester City have performed well in this match, and the two goals they have scored have already been able to score two goals in a very tough competition and challenge and it is becoming difficult for Chelsea fans to win. Yes I believe if Brentford had won this match then it would have been much easier for Chelsea to compete, and they could have started their journey towards the final with ease in this match. However, Manchester City have been performing very well this season and they are not only improving but also not able to enter the final, but in this semi-final match either of the two teams can enter the final.

As it is, Newcastle would be awaiting the outcome of the game between Arsenal vs Crystal Palace to see who they'd play against since they were able to edge out Fulham by 2-1.

Chelsea will be facing either Arsenal or Crystal Palace. They won't be going against Manchester City. It should be Manchester City against Newcastle United. It should be Newcastle United qualifying since they'll be playing at home. They have seen more wins at home this season than away,  so there's every chance they'll have their second win against Manchester City on the 13th of January next year. Well it not Chelsea against Manchester city like you said it chelsea against arsenal or crystal palace, then Manchester city against Newcastle. Still I still feel the semi b finals is going to be a tough one, it now all premier league big teams in the semi finals.

Well it a good thing the it going to be played in a 2 leg phase at least both teams will have that home advantage in each of the game. Honestly to me I still can’t actually choose who is going to win this tournament or who will be playing at we embody this season in the finals.

Chelsea, Manchester city and Newcastle have all secure a place in the last 4 and now it up to arsenal or crystal palace to book a ticket in the last 4. It been an entertaining tournament so far and for sure it will be entertainment till the very end.

No, you don't analyze football like that because in the game of football anything can happen, it's true that at this point, it's very obvious that Manchester City has found their rythme and they are easily putting teams to the sword, but does that makes them unbeatable? No.
They are very vulnerable at the back, as they are known for, just that it's not as bad as they have been over the years. On the other hand, Chelsea that you are looking down on May be inconsistent and maybe unreliable as you may think, but check their records against the bigger teams, you will understand why ruling them out of anything seems myopic.
Take note that am not making any predictions if they are put against each other in this carabao cup semi finals, but what am trying to say is that they both have the capacity to beat each other, so it's a game that can be won by any of them that perform better on the day, so let's just wait and see how it goes.

By the way Chelsea and Newcastle both couldn't get a too comfortable win. Chelsea needed more than 80 minutes to secure it. Newcastle scored the winner in the stoppage time. Fulham are a Premier League team of course and they look good recently.

But Cardiff are a League One team man. Chelsea should have been able to win it easier.

Yes you are right about cherki been the best  signing of Manchester city last season. Cherki is really something else, his performance is awesome. Placing him in front of Reinjders and Gonzalez was a very good decision that pep made. Cherki has made so many assist and also he has registered goals on different matches.

What impressed me concerning this match is the goal keepers of both teams, they made very good saves however Brentford's keeper couldn't keep up cause Cherki's opening goal was like a thunder bolt that was struck into the goal post, he tried anyways but City's attack was too tough for his defenders to help avoid a goal. It's not easy to get to this stage, Brentford tried though. Of course Manchester City would be more favourable and lots would definitely pick them to win due to how inform they're lately, they gave their best to merit the Semifinals let's see how they'll cope in the next round.

A good change in performance of Manchester City makes things interesting because few weeks back no one was expecting that they will be able to have this level performance, their win against Real Madrid at Bernabéu made things good for them in all competitions, and seems that they deserve winning many trophies as well.

Newcastle United is struggling in premier league, but their performance in this match was good as they hold Fulham for having spot into semifinal, now they are going to face Manchester City, this is going to be not easy game for them due to their inconsistency and poor performance sill they have good chance of making themselves into final of Carabao Cup final.

Cardiff deserves to be promoted because they would fit in in premier league because the way they handle the match they could have won Chelsea if there was no substitution for Chelsea because it was the entry of Garnacho, Joa Pedro and Gusto Chelsea began to dominate, when I saw the starting I was thinking what happened to Chelsea to have use all this players while the ones that needed to be in the match are not there but I didn't no he wanted to experiment on the first half so that if the first half players could handle it then he continues with them and if they cannot handle then the main one comes in.

It is laughable to say that Cardiff deserves to play in the Premier League because i see them as a very weak team. Each time Cardiff gets promoted to the Premier League they don't spend many seasons before they get relegated and moreover, they are now in League one so it will take them to get promoted to the Championship before they talk about being promoted to the Premier League and it will take them many years to achieve that.

I no they still have a long way ahead of them to reach premier League but is a lot more possible for them now because the championship that gives the chance is were they're about being promoted to, it doesn't matter if they do not stick around on the premier League for a while after they went on the league but what they should be excited about is the improvement, there are clubs whom may have not gotten any promotion since they have been on the league 2, so Cardiff who has surpasses those places have achieved more than those clubs and besides they might even have the favour of Sunderland the year they would come to the premier League.
