I was completely unaware of the UEFA Nations League. I'm still quite new to football, so this is all new to me; I'm mostly participating in the Greek Super League. It came to my attention after seeing the game England vs. Greece, and to be honest, I wasn't expecting my country to win. It is a big deal firstly because of the death of George Baldock, and secondly because this is the first ever win against England in Wembley. It was a good game, even though I expected more from England, as their performance in Euro 2024 was outstanding.

England defeat to Greece was due to poor coordination between players. They managed to dominate the match by recording 60% ball possession, but their attack was very bad. In my opinion, the Greek victory due to England is still trapped in the same hole, the England coach always has difficulty forming a balanced team, although there are many star players, but when they are put together in a team, it has not been able to show positive results. England's starting XI included Cole Palmer, Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden, Bukayo Saka and Anthony Gordon, but all of them were disappointing.

For  Bellingham, he has been playing as a false 9 for a number pf times at Madrid. That role only got diminished because they have Mbappe and Endrick to fill those positions. So it's not the first time but I don't see why it should be the case because Bellingham is better off as an attacking midfielder providing his services to a classic 9 like Watkins that can score goals

The worst thing is how the players treat the Nations League, this tournament was not the most important before, and now the players openly say that they do not want to play for the national team in this tournament. I can understand why this is happening, we are already seeing how some players are starting to get injured, perhaps because of the very busy schedule. And those who do not refuse to play clearly do not want to strain themselves too much in such games, and watching such games is also not fun.

These three matches have potentials of three points by the big teams; Portugal to win away from to keep their winning streak, Switzerland to also win away from home, while Spain to win at home. Adding other games to this can be very risky even though these once are not guarantee, but if everything go as expected, these teams are suppose to win their games.

Denmark vs Spain game will be a tough match, a battle of first and second position in their group because Denmark already has six points as they won their first two matches; while Switzerland will battle for a way of getting there first three points because they lost their first two matches, so they will try their best to win their match against Serbia.

They are the clear favorites of their group and publicly say that they want to win this competition, while Croatia just wants to stay in the strongest group without any pressure to try to win this competition again. Today, Croatia is playing at home against Scotland, which is (allegedly) in big trouble with injured players (as many as 12 of them). I could place a fortune for Portugal to win their match against Poland today, I just have this confidence in me that Portugal is going to win, Poland is in a very poor foam right now, winning just one n their last five international games, the win even against Scotland in a 2-3 score line. The Poland defense normally conceive every time they play, then imagine them facing the Portuguese venomous attack who haven't failed to score since the beginning of the nations league qualifiers. Portugal is definitely winning this one today, I hope Ronald also get to add to his tally today.

The Spain vs Denmark will be an interesting match to watch, the Spanish team will be missing some key players due to injury the likes of Dani carvajal and Rodri. These are players with alot of quality who most times dictate the Spanish style of Play, let hope the the Denmark team doesn't take advantage of the missing players and exploit them. Though if I'm to pick a bet here it going to be Denmark to score.

As for the Serbia vs Switzerland I can't say much about this match because these are teams that are almost at the same level so it going to be a hard to pick who the winner is going to be but I rather stake my bet on both team to score.

There are some good matches today. For example, Hungary vs Netherlands looks like it will be a good match or Bosnia and Herzegovina vs Germany. But I will watch the Turkiye - Montenegro match. Turkiye have 4 points in the group, Montenegro have no points. Turkiye are the leader in the group, Montenegro are last. On paper everything is in favor of Turkiye. But I think Montenegro are not an easy opponent. Prosineçki had worked in Turkiye before. And he left good impressions. I will bet on both teams to score in this match. Hungary is not so good in performance compared to the Netherlands which is a very strong team, they are at different Levels in my opinion, this match should be quite easy for the Netherlands to beat Hungary to get 3 extra points.

The game is just different the way you thought it will be because the game is very interesting,  in the first half Hungary gave Netherlands a tough game and they were able to score one game. I think the performance of Hungary is not bad like the way you thought it will be, though Netherlands are playing quite fine but from the performance of Hungary right from the beginning of the game, they also have chances of winning the game and they are already leading the game.

Hungary defensive game is really giving Netherlands a tough game . Netherlands is a very good team and I never thought this game will be so tough for then, since their is still time in the game they may have luck to score a goal.

But it is really quite crazy, the class of Hungary can hold a draw that was brought by the Dutch, he was made difficult, even the goal that was first in this match was created by Hungary, I did not expect it like this, but in the end the Dutch can equalize in the second half and that makes me a little calm, and indeed as a whole the Dutch played quite aggressively by mastering the ball almost the entire match, only they could not create a goal at once again other than the equalizing goal in the 83rd minute, maybe we are not easy underestimated the team that could be an underdog but it was crazy in fast time.

Last night, we were comfortable with controlling the game against Montenegro in fact but there was a serious problem. We just had huge problems on scoring the winning goal.  

I will give Montenegro that about their defending of course. They resisted very well as a team. But I still don't find our performance against them good enough. I wonder when Montella will stop using Barış Alper Yılmaz in the centre-forward position. Why wouldn't you give Bertuğ Yıldırım a chance from the start?

Better Southgate than Carsley he put Bellingham as a striker and Foden is this following in the footsteps of formations like they play in clubs? Whereas Watkins and Solanke are pure strikers.

And this is what Nations League matches are like - sometimes games don't try as hard as club competitions - because the international break is just boring and even if we bet it will make us emotional.

There were good matches in the Nations League today. I also gave priority to the Turkey and Montenegro match and I am following the match. The first half ended in a goalless draw. This is a fact that cannot be ignored. Portugal has a good squad and in the last 2 games, they managed to win and scored at least 2 goals in each game. This is a good thing, especially because they beat Croatia, and Croatia beat Poland in a game in which they scored 1 goal and did not concede a goal. By this I mean that betting on Portugal to win could be a good option. It is true that there is a high risk of a draw. But I believe that Portugal's attack can score at least 2 goals again and win the game. I believe whosoever placed a bet on Greece to win would have cashed out something good that day. I really don't know what's happening to England. Not just me, but it's obvious that so many people that follow football are very concerned as well. We are not even talking about quality players, because they already have that. We are not even talking about squad depth because they already have that. We can't really tell what they are not doing right. Or is that we are just expecting too much from these players, when we know that some of them can't really offer to their country what they give to their clubs. I really don't like to point fingers at players, but foden isn't that good when it comes to playing for England. But when we see him at City, he is completely different. Or is that these players are finding it difficult to play to a different tactics. The thing is quite frustrating, as there are too many questions to be answered. Seeing the quality of stars that comes out from England almost every season, they ought to be competing well in major tournaments and maybe even getting to most finals.

Just imagine, Saka has already traveled back to Emirates after the recent, and we all know how important he is to the team. They will be playing their last game against Finland tomorrow, and I can't even boldly give them the win. This is not the England that we use to know.
