England indeed started better, but towards the end of the first half and start of the 2nd you started playing better and imho game could have ended much different if you scored from those few good chances that you had while you were down by only one goal.

Well, the head start was enough to tarnish our confidence, that wasn't the cause though, England simply played better football. We did play a little better during second half, but it wasn't enough nor did we manage to score a goal to hinder the difference. No point in discussing the hypothetical scenario of actually scoring these shots, we had quite a few chances and some decent shots, but ultimately didn't happen.

Who in the right mind doesn't doubt in England's performance?  

Well, we did manage to win approximately a month ago, but that doesn't necessarily mean much.

No point in discussing the hypothetical scenario of actually scoring these shots, we had quite a few chances and some decent shots, but ultimately didn't happen.

Point is that you actually created some good chances, its just that you didn't score this time and that you played better than the end result may indicate. This is probably the best team you had in quite some time and you should be optimistic going forward.

Unfortunately, we lost vs Scotland tonight. It should have been much an easier game for us, but as usual we managed to complicate the situation by a stupid red card at the end of the 1st half.

Yep...I didn't expect to see such a high scoring game and especially I didn't expect to see Portugal scoring 5 goals against Poland but it seems that current team of Poland are not a really strong team like they used to be and we saw this at Euro 2024 as well. If anything, Spain where not in a hurry in the game tonight and won't deny that they played good stuff which is typical of them. I must say that ever since Luis de la Fuentes took over Spain during the world cup in Qatar, it has been smooth sailing and they have been able to win 20 out of their 25 games and you'd need to be a strong team to rattle Spain's defense because they've got an all round squad that delivers without fail whenever they are called up.

 As for Portugal, I must say they were able to rectify their mistakes and ensured that the only goal Poland had didn't affect anything on the scoreline than cancel the clean sheet they would have gotten. Ronaldo was on target for them as he scored a brace for the team and I like that his presence didn't limit the other players from performing beautifully.

The Portugal team seems to be very strong and they knew how poor their opponent has been without any form of fighting hard against a bigger side. For long Poland has never showed any sign of improvement and is like they don't have anyone whose name is known around Europe, apart from Lewandowski. I agree with you about what you said, if the Barcelona forward retires I don't think Poland can produce anyone capable enough to take over from Lewandowski or any big name that can lead the team. The Poland football team is too weak and I wonder how far they can go in this qualifiers.
Spain has never lost that wonderful performance when it comes to scoring, dribbling and making the game easy and interesting to watch and to top it all, they make sure their opponent struggle to hold on to the ball for a minute. 1-2 win against Denmark is indeed a win but at some point the game would have ended in a draw when the ball hit the lower part of the goal post, Spain was lucky to have gotten the 3pt. I believe Denmark would try very hard to win ther next game.

For these 2 matches I have expected that both teams will score each other it's just that as you said we didn't think Portugal won with 5 goals and Ronaldo scored 2 goals and before I put a bet on both teams to score. The same thing in the Spain match but Denmark made me worried because they don't score in 80 minutes luckily Gustav Isaks did it in the 84th minute. Now Spain and Portugal secure the place as group winner and the last match will not have any impact on their position.

Portugal won their game in style. 5 goals lead was already a perfect record until poland pull a goal back, ending the game in 5-1. Portugal are currently topping their group with 13 points. They will be up against Croatia next week. And sadly, Croatia lost to Scotland 1nil. Scotland has been struggling fo some r time now, because it was surprisingly that they got this win.

As for Spain, they keep flying with a perfect record. 2-1 wasn't what most people expected, but I guess the most important thing is the 3 points.

I don’t think you should down play their performance against Portugal even though the result didn’t go their way.
We can all agree that on the first half of the match, Poland had more good attempt than Portugal. But come the second half, Portugal stepped up their game and dominated the match. We all know how good of a team Portugal is and for Poland playing far away from home to even go toe to toe with them even without lewadoski. I think they tried their best but then this is football. The result didn’t go their way. Again Poland football management should put more effort to seeing the team at the top level there by making sure everything the players need is in place and also.

I didn't watch the live match but when I saw the highlights of the game replayed on Skysports I was dazzled with that amazing bicycle kick from Cr7 despite his age he still gets motivated to do the unthinkable and that's the kind of captain every national team needs to have. I almost ruled him off from participating in the 2026 world cup but right now am reconsidering my thoughts on him, because Portugal would really need his presence like never before.

I was impress by Portugal scoreline against Poland their performance this year UEFA Nation league is excellent, 2 goals from Cristiano Ronaldo yesterday prove how strong Cristiano Ronaldo is despite his age.
Though the first half of game wasn't easy for Portugal to win as Poland held them goalless draw while the second half seems easy for Portugal to win as they start scoring goals from 59th minutes of the game in the second half excellent performance from the Portuguese side.
Spain has been unbeaten in the UEFA Nation league this year so I wasn't  surprised with their winning against Denmark though Denmark is a strong side as they are in the second place in group 4, something to Portugal as they continue with their unbeaten run.
