But the narrative is changing gradually as betting has taken a center stage in the country, infact there is no family in the country that you go to that someone don't bet, there's hardly no street that you passes by in the country that you don't see a betting shop open for business and these betting shops runs from morning till night to tell you how busy these shops are it's the workers in the shops that will beg the customers to go home as they wants to close and rest from the days activities around 8_9pm in the evening

One thing that is of concern to me is the kind of person's that you will find inside the betting shop as you will find different class of people ranging from small to big , old and young and of recent even woman has started gambling

I don't think that it only exists in Nigeria though, there are a lot of 3rd world countries right now that are into gambling. And yes, they are trying to get out of their current financial situation. As we all know that it will just take one bet, let's say for a lottery to win and got lucky.

But that is the keyword there, you need to get lucky in order to win big. And again, in the case of lottery, as far as I know, it's been draw every week, but most of the times, the odds are pretty much stack against you and so it's very hard to win. This is the dumbest statement I have seen on the internet. I mean, we all know that gambling is a game of luck. You won’t make profits until and unless your luck is good. How can someone rely on something like this where luck is involved? He doesn’t have a family to take care of? He doesn’t have bills to pay? I am wondering how many people are actually gambling and making money. Because the tendency in gambling is always for the person to lose in the long run. So if 1000 people are gambling, more than 90% of those people will be in financial loss in the long run. But they won because they were having fun and that should be the main focus of all people when they gamble. I went to Google to find out about the minimum wage in Nigeria. I confess that I can't believe it's $44. Nigeria is a much more advanced country than my country, so there must be some error in the $50 minimum wage. Because in my country ( Mozambique ) the minimum wage is $150 - 250$ and see that my country is shit.

Point of correction, not all gamblers gamble to make profit out of their stakes, some responsible gamblers do it to have a good time as well, this isn't my daily job where getting paid every month or weekly is certain, I gamble to make some gains and most importantly have a good time, it is why I don't do it every day, maybe twice in a week and there are times where I don't gamble for a whole month.

Where I am from there are so many betting outlets around, this is a normal thing in most countries nowadays, I don't just like the idea of using located betting shops because I hate it, people spread rumors faster I feel better gambling on my bed using a online casino or betting platform.
