There is one thing I would like to point out about what you mentioned there, while in fact there is a lot of testimony of gamblers on the internet who has lot significant amount of money to casinos, there is a fact which cannot be ignored: stories and testimonies of lottery and casino winners are substantially pushed to news than those horrors stories you are referring to. I live in a country where It is generally believed that what ever had gone up never comes back down, so, when you say that it will take some time before the inflation will stop, I wonder how that is going to happen for a country like Nigeria, but all the same, we really can and should not stop hoping for the best, while not sitting idle either.

This is nothing but the reality of our country. People from all walks of life, gender, age group, religion and what have you play sports bet. Just to state clearly that I'm Nigeria sports betting is more popular than casino games because of its availability and convince. You know, depending on gambling games for gains is like walking on a tiny rope and hoping not to fall but no matter how careful you are, the rope can't take your weight for too long and you are basically destined to fall at some point.

If someone wants to utilize their time and earn money from gambling, sports betting is what they should look into. Someone who has an interest in sports, in general, can do it if they do some analysis and watch games often. The thing is that, this days people that have gotten scammed in ponzi before are always willing to try out another one ASAP because their always believed that they're is a reward system that will only get to those early birds to get into the ponzi, so for someone that could have this kind of mindset, relying on gambling as a means to making income or solving his financial problem won't be a big deal for such a person, since all his life is already runned on risk.

Lol the virus is poverty. Poverty can dull one’s senses. The government should put more effort and money into building infrastructures and increasing production. The problem of Nigeria is that the population growth greatly exceeds the work-force. Well, if someone makes money from gambling then nothing is wrong in that approach but if someone considers gambling as only source of income then that's a very wrong type of mindset. I wouldn’t consider someone useless simply because they are trying to do something unconventional to earn an income. It is probably not sustainable on a large scale because in order for somebody to make a profit, it requires the majority of people losing money. If somebody can survive on what they make through gambling that is great but it is not a realistic option for most people.

The current economic reforms have had unfortunate consequences for Nigeria’s poorest citizens. It is understandable that people are desperate enough to consider gambling as a way to improve their situation. The current policies will not be enough to bolster their economy but hopefully their will be a serious commitment to invest in sectors that will create jobs and reduce people’s hardship.

Well, first, let me say that I disagree that Nigeria is an overpopulated country, yeah, there might be a lot of people living in Nigeria but then, the country have more than enough mineral resources and other natures gift to make sure everyone is living just fine, the major problem with the country is the mismanagement of the country treasures by those who are heading the affairs of the country.
