Alot of games out there all aimed at winning some cool cash and those athletes that engage in some of this animalistic games have somewhat an addiction in place and some times some of them really take this games as a profession and to that end they can go any length just to remain the champions in those game's, slap games is not some what new to me I have seen a lot of those events right from when I was a kid and uptil now, this game is getting popular by the day and nothing is going to change it.
Sometimes this game is peculiar to some segment of people in the society and at that many of those that play the games have somewhat practice such as magic and when they receive the slap, the will not feel anything and when they return the slap to the opponent the impact is somewhat influenced by some forces all with the aim to knockout they opponent, and this have lead to the ban of some few of the game's organized in recent times in fact the game is banned totally because of this tendency of manipulation and it impact on some weak player's.

I don't know why I found this game very dangerous. My reason for saying this is that the level of injury most players get at the end of the day will take months or even years to recover.

If we would really be making out some comparison on other sports on which it could really be still imposing some serious health risks but this one is really that having much more risks when it comes to this manner.

Quite a few athletes have sustained permanent damage after a fight, with some even remaining disabled for a lifetime. But at least with boxing, martial arts and mixed martial arts fights, athletes are allowed to defend themselves and avoid the opponent's blows as much as they can. In Power Slap though, the fighters are not allowed to defend themselves at all. And moreover, it has been acknowledged by the competition's organizers that the blows don't have to be normal slaps... Blows hitting with the base of the hand, that would basically hit nearly as hard as a punch to the face are considered a valid technique. This drastically increases the potential for athletes to injure themselves very seriously...

The question is, why does anyone have to engage in such a competition? It's not even a sport IMO.

The first time I saw a video of the power slap competition, I was already done thinking about it as an advancement in sports - y'all know how controversial this has been over time? It's not even less noble than the european sex championship.

Now, without a TV deal, Power Slap has turned to betting partners to bring in more profit after losing their TV deals.
Just like we avoid betting on animal sports because this perpetuates the needless breeding and therefore abuse of animals...
Its for the same reasons that we should consider avoiding betting on sports that have very high potential to leave their athletes disabled.

They lost their TV deals because nobody wants to get involved in this mean humiliation.. We should also understand that some inventions or expeditions are debunked due to the risk involved. Since I don't have an interest in how powerful a human can be in a "slap fight" with their opponent, I can't wager on 'em games.

I had one time watched a short clip of this sports activity on TV actually, it was on Startimes, I can't really the sports channel I watched it on, but what I do know is that, that was the first and the last time I saw that clip..
I referred to it as a clip because it seemed like a video that was prepared, not broadcasted live., and Secondly, it wasn't up to 30 minutes in video length/time.

I watched it that day and I was like, the world we live in is gradually turning into something else, I mean, it was crazy seeing how humans are comfortable with inventing rubbish in the name of inventing new sports.

I honestly can't even see how power slap is a sports, since it doesn't involve movement of the body, except from the hand when it's raised to slap, and maybe also with the muscle with which the slap is carried out.

"Harm" is subjective, for some people it's harm, for other people it's not harm because they already deal with it.

Well, that's where I will agree with you that "harm" is subjective. Anyway, you can say what you want with that tournament. You can say that it's ethical, and you can say that people who are joining on that tournament doesn't feel any hurt at all for some reasons. These competitions are actually related to gladiatorial fights in a milder form, but they still have a risk of irreversible injury. Moreover, only strength is important, not some kind of skill. The famous Dana essentially took the idea of slap fights that were kid of a popular small-scale game in eastern Europe and Russia and ran with it years later after its first round of popularity. Recently Dana claimed the "Power Slap" brand is now worth USD 750 Million... That's in spite of having lost their TV deal with no channel willing to pick the show up. So now "Power Slap" runs on Rumble, the video sharing site that started as a censorship free YouTube alternative.

Power Slap is dope and alright for me, but there are concerns involved with it. At least, the participants have nothing to protect themselves in case they get serious injuries. This raises questions not only about athlete safety. But also moral responsibility on the part of professional athletes like Dana White, who appear to be keener on having a good time than on being healthy. That can be very infuriating.

Moving into becoming a betting affiliate after losing the TV deal; really shows they go to great lengths to stay profitable; interestingly on how they'd sort this out. But also a question about the sustainability of models. It could change how we see sports entertainment. This could create more fervor and demands over how people are treated as athletes

Similar contests to "Power Slap," with a connection to an athletic or martial arts feel and it is all about raw power as opposed to technique. The draw is seemingly to the shock value and entertainment factor. Look for a niche that wants absolutes. However, as you pointed out, is that it brings ethics to a new level of injury. That is startling in itself that viewers are being shown something to be entertained at the expense of athletes' safety in that format which puts a value on violence above the need for their well-being. I think that there should be something within the art competitions that could interest them.

I think it is easy to become deaf after number of slaps. Imho it is very to damage eardrum with that. Also notice how they make those slaps. Sometimes they hit on the cheek, sometimes on the temple, sometimes on the neck area, to the ear. Huge random factor with random injury. If bruises can heal, then a strike to a temple can be deadly. On one hand, we can assume that most fighters are there because of their free will, so like in other dangerous sports (not only talking about fights, but also other extreme sports) one might wonder why ban it if that's what they consent to.

That is indeed entertainment for children that they can be like that player but without any strictly rules, player can harm the other and that can have serious injuries. We know that children can get too emotional and too serious to beat their opponent so jury must control the match so they will not harm other player. Maybe the rules can be changed for children so they don't have get the serious injuries which can impact to their future. We can not imagine if they become disabled, how come they face their future? That will be difficult for them.

Actually, this sport is not that dangerous because if there is risk, it is fainting and in this sport there is also medical team that has been tested so that it is quite capable of handling every athlete who is injured or fainted, moreover there are many other types of sports that are much more dangerous but in reality until now it can still continue and has many fans.

Oh yeah, not dangerous at all, Artur Walczak a former MMA fighter and a 145kg monster died from a cerebral hemorrhage after two months in a coma, Kortney Olson has constant memory failures and fainted three times in a row after one slap, she quit all sports after that, Sorin Comsahas gone through surgery because of disjointed jaw and probably a lot of other small cases went though without anyone picking up.

This sport means taking a direct punch(slap) without guarding at maximum power, with no protective gear, hits like this are truly uncommon even in boxing as nobody has in a boxing match the leisure of aimign and preparing for a full blow directly to your face.

I just watch these event twice on the social media and I didn't like how I felt witnessing that kind of event. Someone (defenseless) being landed a heavy hot slap on the cheek and from the video, something fell out of his mouth which I felt was the tooth of the person. I don't like this game because it can actually disfigure someone's face or condemn the tooth of the person.

Some games are not just supposed to be allowed, just like this one.

Yes this game is more popular on social media and within small cycle of friends, most times, nothing much to it other than just cashing fun, because the game is prohibited in some places and anyone that engage in it can get arrested for animalistic practise, since the impact of the game could pierd the eye of the players that can result into health challenges for them so the game is mostly discouraged in most places.

Slapping is a violent sport, but not very different from other fighting sports. It's valid to notice boxing also brings long term cognitive losses to athletes involved in such practices. Therefore, shouldn't we consider bets on boxing unethical as well?
