Block.io wallet was closed on May 31 Just now I read a message from my email stating that the wallet will be mistaken and he gave us a month to transfer our money to another wallet from May 1 to May 31. Is there a way to get the money back?

I saw that you posted here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5494892.0According to that message, the service allows you to keep a copy of your private keys. Have you kept any of them? If so, you can use that to retrieve your funds.

I never used this wallet and I don't know how it works, but if you used private keys or seed words than you should be able to restore it to other bitcoin wallets. If that doesn't work than try contacting their support, I see contact page is still available on their website.

I have never used this wallet before neither did I know about them, I never came across them here though, but from my experience about wallet if they are closing their services there are two things involved which includes; 1. If the wallet has seedphrase you can import them to other wallet, such as electrum or trustwallet although this depending if the wallet is a close or open source. 2. If they are only signed up operation where you used email sign up, create password to access wallet if so then you should know that you have completely lose access to the fund because they have already shut down. The only remedy is if you have seedphrase then you can restore back your funds.

What do you mean by private keys
it is basically a set of alphanumeric sequences that will help you gain access to your funds using other wallets. I emailed them and they did not respond
not surprising, they have been closed for 5 months now.

I'm guessing you missed my response to your DM but to answer again, if that's all you have is your username and password, then there is sadly nothing you can do to gain access back to your wallet. Unless they decide to respond and help you.

Keys which used to access or move your Bitcoin. Anyway, if you still plan to explore cryptocurrency world despite your loss, i recommend you learn a bit about Bitcoin and how to secure/backup your coin. I emailed them and they did not respond
not surprising, they have been closed for 5 months now. I'm more surprised OP doesn't receive message his email got rejected. After all, there's no strong reason to keep their email server or address online.

not surprising, they have been closed for 5 months now. I'm more surprised OP doesn't receive message his email got rejected. After all, there's no strong reason to keep their email server or address online. They became chain.so. Both block.io and chain.so are using gmail so they probably just aliased one to another. With that being said they did tell users to keep copies of their private keys: https://web.archive.org/web/20220525222357/https://block.io/faqand https://web.archive.org/web/20220525220928/https://block.io/termsNot that anyone ever reads the FAQ and terms. But it was there. Someone on reddit also pointed out they did have a popup saying to keep your keys but I can't verify that. I also pointed to a tool in the other post they made https://github.com/BlockIo/blockio-basic-multisig-sweepBut without the keys it will not work. Walidarig how long ago did you contact them? -Dave

Based on what he wrote in the OP, it's very likely that he wrote to them a few days back, a good number of months after the announced shutdown. Maybe the recent surge in the Bitcoin price made him want to check some of his wallets for any treasures he might have forgotten. It's a tough lesson OP may have to learn for the future.

Private keys is what they mean and it is used to access the wallet where the funds in your account are stored. Well, did you make a backup of the keys?. If you don't have the keys then there's no way you can move or transfer your funds to another wallet unless they will reply to your email and help you get your funds back. If they didn't reply then you have no choice but to accept the loss of your funds. Just try waiting for response as they might respond to you. I am not familiar with the wallet that you mentioned but if you have what they explained then you won't need to use yoir like username and password but only the keys is what you need.

I created this wallet in 2016, and it contained only 9,000 Dogecoin coins. At that time, its total price was less than $5. In 2021, the price of Docoin rose to $0.7, of which I used 2,000 coins and left 7,000 coins. Two weeks ago, I entered the store to inspect the store and found it closed

It's sad that you had a chance to take out your coins at least to anon custodial software wallet, but then you didn't If you did not back up your wallet or save the mnemonic phrase, then you are out of luck. There's nothing else that can be done for you to recover the Doge unless if by some miracle the owners behind the site bring it back online.

Bro, you had your account and your DOGE in it until May, when the platform decided to stop providing services. They notified their users about it and gave them about a month to withdraw their funds. We don't know where you were then, but you missed it, and they are no longer in business. So, to make things short, unless some miracle happens, which usually doesn't happen in this industry, you might get your funds back only if the team responds to your email, which isn't very likely. This means you have lost your 7,000 DOGE because you were away for too long, and you were not careful enough to secure your private keys, which you barely know anything about as it seems. If you stay interested in cryptocurrencies in the future, I suggest that you learn about non-custodial wallets, private keys, seed phrases, and everything else about securely storing your assets.

Check your coins here https://dogechain.info/ using the address where the 2000 doge was withdrawn and you may then know if your coins are still in your wallet or not. Generally, since you do not have the private key, contacting the CEO is the only way to know if you will get your coins back or not (the chances are slim.) According to ----> https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/block-io-inc-/people, the CEO's name is Atif Nazir

Unfortunately when services like wallets closes their doors they don't give much time to withdraw funds. Many people don't check their email, so, often message about closure goesn unnoticed. And when deadline already passed there is not much hope that you will get funds. You can try contacting them with proofs that this wallet belongs to you, but I wouldn't put much hope on it. I'm sorry to read what happened to you, 7000 DOGE is significant amount of money. I can't find any account in his name. Just simple information about him.
IMO, it's pointless thing to contact CEO, probably he wouldn't give any f*cks about your issue. I would beging with sending message to support email.

I am not familiar with this wallet you have mentioned here and I think they are not popular to say but however, If it is a self custodial wallet in which you have your keys generated and stored by you while opening it, then your funds and assets are safe because you can import the keys into another self custodial wallet to see your assets but if otherwise, then I think you have lost it all because you can not have access to your wallet which you keep your asset with just email and password.
This should serve as a lesson to those out there who do not have time to constantly follow up with their investments and assets. They just can not tell when anything could happen for them to take action in protecting their assets. Just like OP is complaining now, if he had been on the check with his assets he could not have had this issue. This is to tell how important it is to constantly check on your investment because you never what is next.

Hi Everyone,
I am in a similar situation. I have my seed phrase and the secret pin. I do not have the private keys.
I found that the funds are still present in the wallet but it's address begins with 9 (multisig, ouch!)
I checked last in Jan2024 and there was no message about closure. Also, I did not receive any mail on the closure.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards, avysaurus
