Well everyone has something they like to do.. some people just prefer using what they have the most to gamble.. probably they are amongst the whales and the only coins they have in bulk is just BTC, they won't mind spending some few Satoshi just to gamble and have fun. Though we know how valuable and precious BTC is like currently and has always been, you can still choose to treat it as a currency or and investment.. for me though I just prefer gambling with USDT. Yes, it's true the price value of Bitcoin is volatile, and likewise it's value likely to skyrocket during a bull run like this, but yet I don't think that's enough reason why it shouldn't be the best choice for gambling, because one standard fact about gambling is that either what is been used is either Bitcoin or stablecoin, one thing certain is that it's multiplier will always remain the same. Hence, I don't think anybody should worry about what type of asset been used for gambling.

Example:
If you gamble using $100 to bet on 10 odds, and you are lucky enough to win, you will end up having $100 x 10 = $1000

If you gamble using 1 Btc to bet on 10 odds, and you are lucky enough to win, you will end up having 1 Btc x 10 = 10 Btc

I wont regret using bitcoin to gamble, because, in as much as you lose same way you gain also when you win your bet, and when it comes to gambling, bitcoin is just a currency and not seen ad an investment, although if you are smart, you can make investment out of gambling, that is by saving a percentage of your winning in bitcoin.

Few months back when the price of bitcoin was around $50,000BTC, I staked an amount of bitcoin on sport bet, I think my bet was around 0.0006BTC, and luckily for me I won the beta d the outcome was around 0.015, so was so excited and have to withdraw all the profits into my bitcoin wallet from the gambling site, and now that winning is now a good portion of my investment right now, so it all depends on how you looking at things.

Do not regret your past actions. That will make you depressed. I did not lose much money, but I understand what you are discussing. I sold some meme tokens at a very low price, which did more than 100x after a couple of months. I could regret that as well. I was disappointed at that time. But I do not think about it anymore because I cannot change the past.

Yes, people should gamble with stablecoins if they want. Last week, I lost some BNB on Metawin, which is now increasing in price. But since I did not lose any big amount I cannot afford to lose, I do not regret playing with that. But there were some better choices.

Well I learned my own lesson from the stories of similar losses encountered by users on this forum and as well as from their recommendations to use stable coin. In fact, the casino I use pays yours winnings in stablecoins and not bitcoins. I guess they too don't want to run at a loss.  And this is why it is called an online crypto casino and not an online bitcoin casino. I hope someone else learns from this experience.

Why not good to use bitcoin for gambling? Because of its price that is increasing? That is not a good reason. If that is a good reason, bitcoin should not be used for making transaction also. I can use bitcoin to gamble and for making transactions. There is nothing to regret there. The main reason this is not a good reason is because you can also easily convert bitcoin from and to stable coins.

Gamble with the amount of money that you can afford to lose. Be it bitcoin, stable coin or other cryptocurrencies.

If crypto price matters so much, then why not gamble with fiat instead? If Bitcoin price growth bothers you and you dont want to be loosing more than you have bet, then stablecoins are not the solution either. As you still will lose something on commission or exchange. Gamble with fiat to minimize every little amount you have lost. Want to stick with crypto - learn to let go losses and the moment you made a deposit - is a moment you have already lost. Because of how bullish Bitcoin is getting, a lot of regrets will normally start to flood in ranging from selling too soon or selling to solve some of your needs or even using part of your Bitcoin holding to gamble. Iether ways, what's gone is gone and can't be recovered back. Sometimes it's best to have a long term plan and do proper allocation of the areas your funds will be going into so you wouldn't have the need of regretting in times like this. With a small fraction of your holding going into gambling that doesn't affect your main Bitcoin portfolio, you're sure you wouldn't regret during a bull as this. In any way, the lessons of today helps us to make better decisions tomorrow so I guess in the future bulls, you will make better decisions.

I do not think he tell us what he regretted. With how I think about it, his regret would be that he should not have gambled but hold bitcoin instead. He did not gamble with the amount of money that he can afford to lose but gamble with huge amount of money and he lost it. That is what that happened to him.

He is also regretting that he did not invest in bitcoin. I can use bitcoin to gamble but convert fiat and stable coin to bitcoin. I really do not use bitcoin for gambling anyway no matter what is the overall state of the market. I use cryptocurrencies yes but usually just altcoins that I would not feel as hurt when I use compare to when I use bitcoin. I would only use bitcoin for special transactions but transactions for leisure and entertainment? No. Not my style.

I hold it and use it when needed but I value every single sats that I hold. That has enough risks for me not to introduce any more by risking losing it by gambling.

Bitcoin is not good for gambling not only because of the price volatility, but because of the transaction fees as well.
Stablecoins and fiat money are way better for gambling. I would even use shitcoins and NFTs, if some casino accepts them.

Feeling regrets about money/crypto, that you have lost is pointless. If you feel such regrets, maybe gambling isn't for you.
Maybe the current Bitcoin price pump will boost the prices of all big altcoins. This would make most major altcoins not good for gambling as well.

Anyway, yes I realized that it should not be used in gambling, and that includes Ethereum and BNB for me. Whenever I could get my hands on those coins, I kept it in a secured place. Now I am only using USDT and if by chance I got tipped with XRP, I use them to gamble too because of its low value and I think it's stability is there too.
Sometimes I would just even play with digital cash which for me doesn't hurt that much whenever I lose them on a bet. Bitcoin for me is an investment and I like to keep it that way.

Here, everyone understands everything perfectly. Well, how can we avoid mistakes? They are part of our lives. So don't worry too much about this. This can happen to any of us. If we gamble on Bitcoins, we must understand all the risks associated with this process. If we don't, then very soon we can be left without coins at all.

I don't think that gambling on altcoins will somehow have a better effect on your financial situation. This is just an assumption. They can also grow in price and losing them will also be a shame.

I actually agree. Sure it's nice when you win something and then the price of whatever coin goes up and your bankroll magically increases overnight. But on the other site the opposite might happen.
In the past I often used ltc, btc and some others for making some smaller bets or whatever but since these up and downs got annoying at some point I settled for usdt. Only sometimes I accidentally make some drop/reload/bonus claim in a different currency, mostly btc, and then hours later the claimed amount, $ wise, is already smaller. Somehow this always happens to me when claiming in any other coin than usdt, haha. Very unlucky maybe.

I guess it depends. Since there are times that I regret to do it especially that price value of stable coin remain at that price so whenever there's a big pump came and you convert your bitcoins into fiat then you missed those opportunity to possibly earn from that good event happen for bitcoin.

But this feeling been eliminated when there's network issues happening like fee's surging up due to network and other issues. By this time I didn't doubt to use stable coins since somehow it didn't give me any stress for depositing some funds in the casino.

That's why I say it depends since for me I only base on situations occur.

To be fair, it wasn't like you bet the money during the value it has now. You bet the money during the value it has then, which is lower. And it isn't exactly that hard to buy Bitcoin if you ever did spend it in gambling.

Not that I use Bitcoin to gamble though. It has atrocious fees and I don't even know why people use them sometimes to gamble lol. There's a lot of alternatives out there that casinos accept that have comparatively lower fees.

But that's on hindsight no? I mean if I were to bet when Bitcoin was at 18k ish, I wouldn't have minded it. But if I bet the same amount now that it's at 90k ish which is 4x~ ish, then I'd sure as hell regret it. Not that you'd know it'd hit 90k at this point in time.
