It's not about bitcoin, and it's not about gambling, it's just a classic example of FOMO. By the way, FOMO can lead to big losses. That's just like gambling addiction. There is no point in regretting lost opportunities. Because almost all people have something to regret in their lives, and the missed growth of bitcoin in a number of such events will not be the most important...
I agree with you because I see signs of FOMO here. But the main thing here is for the player to understand this himself and explanations from other players will not help him. I myself did not come to this right away, but after a long journey in which I realized many things with great effort. I am glad that now I do not think about such things and do not waste my emotional energy and time on this, it is simply pointless. We only need to concentrate on what we can influence today, creating a better future for ourselves. I think we most likely will not help the OP with our advice.

We always want to keep the "best money" for ourselves and will spend what we value less first. But in your case, it's just your choice, because the money you sent to the casino for gambling could be converted into any coin, even bitcoin, ether or stablecoin, and whether you win or lose would depend only on you. Even if you played for stablecoins, you could buy bitcoin with your winnings and put it on hold, but if you lost, it doesn't matter anymore, because this money has already gone to the casino.

If you’re gambling regularly while also investing, it’s probably smarter to use stablecoins for gambling. That way, when the bull run hits, you won’t be regretting all the Bitcoin you lost. I’ve personally lost a decent amount of Bitcoin, so yeah, it hurts a bit. Even if you set aside Bitcoin specifically for investment and gambling, it’s still Bitcoin, and its value could hit $100k soon.

Can you guys relate?

I think this mindset will almost comeback during the bull run, and for sure it has been asked as well in 2020-2021 bull run. So for me, the answer is yes, it's not that good to used Bitcoin to gamble, might be better to preserved it as it will obviously grows in the next coming months and with that, we will have our big profits. But if we want to continue with our gambling, the best choose could be just to convert some of our Bitcoin to USDT. And just imagine if Bitcoin pushes for a $100k in the next month or even at the end of November. So if you have just like .01 BTC or higher, that is already huge for us as a investor and a holder.

As far as I'm concerned, and I am a gambler, BTC is just for holding and not for gambling, stablecoins is better for me and I love creating a positive distinction in my finances. When I am short of USDT, I don't trade my BTC for USDT when I want to gamble, I buy with fiat and when it helps me spend less on gambling since I pay heavily with the exchange rate of my country when purchasing these stable coins. Gambling with stable coins is the best for now.

People should know what coin that they can use to playing gambling. If they think that using Bitcoin will not makes them comfortable, they can use the other coins. They should be grateful playing gambling using crypto because they can use so many coins as their choice so they will not have a problem with the price of the coin. If they want to keep their Bitcoin and use altcoin or stable coins, that will be okay because that will be their decision. Yes, they can buy Bitcoin with their wins money but if they lose, they don't have to regret because that is the risk of playing gambling.

I knew gamble with your money then it is doesn't matter what currency are using. At that time Bitcoin just as a medium of payment. you just use Bitcoin payment gateway at that time that's why I am not agree with your statement. But if you talking about transaction for withdraw fee then yes avoiding Bitcoin is a best idea because you can use another currency like stable coins , trx, ltc for very cheap transaction fees. Ltc is a Bitcoin fork but it has very cheap transaction fees. Tron is also a good chain where you can transfer withdraw trx very quickly with very cheap fees. Most of the time I gamble with trx.

It's all in the mindset, if you decided to spend a specific amount on gambling then no matter it's in Bitcoin or stable coin it should not affect us if we lose the amount. I just want to relate this with the pizza guy who bought 2 pizzas for 10K Bitcoins but there's no point in regretting about that in 2024 that he could made fortune if he didn't spend that money.

So if you're concerned about spending money then stop doing it and focus on the investment part.

Bitcoin is not good for gambling not only because of the price volatility, but because of the transaction fees as well.
Stablecoins and fiat money are way better for gambling. I would even use shitcoins and NFTs, if some casino accepts them.

I see it the same way. Fees can be a factor, especially if they only accept bitcoin. But since we’re gambling, it’s pretty much the same even if we use altcoins, as we can lose an amount equivalent to what we’d lose in bitcoin. No regrets here—we made the choice knowing the value might go up during a bull season and knowing there are other options. So, as we gamble, we don’t think much about it, we just focus on gambling because that’s what we want to do.

This shows that bitcoin isn’t just for investing—it can serve many other purposes, too.

On the contrary, if we have fiat, then I guess we should used it to buy like USDT and uses it as mode of deposit or even withdrawals and keep our Bitcoin in our wallet and just don't touch it because we are in the middle of the bull run already.

And it's going to be mentality tough as well, if we look at it, just last Monday, it went from $81,000 to almost $90,000. So just imagine if you used it for your gambling, LOL, that's going to hurt because you have profited already with that huge jump instead of just losing it in a casino.

The choice between using stablecoins or Bitcoin for gambling depends on various factors, including your personal preferences, risk tolerance, and the specific gambling platform's requirements.

You can always count on stablecoins if one has a  priority for price stability and lower risk, looking for faster transaction processing and lower fees and if one is comfortable with less anonymity.

Also a gambler may choose Bitcoin if they value decentralization and anonymity, are willing to take on price volatility risks and are looking for potential long-term value appreciation.

People consider Bitcoin as "good money" during a bull market and "bad money" during a bear market. During a bull market, the price of Bitcoin is constantly rising and people feel sorry for the lost profits.

During a bear market, the price of Bitcoin falls, and the player realizes that, unlike fiat currency, Bitcoin has poor liquidity. As a rule, in many situations, Bitcoin is difficult to directly use to pay for goods (works, services).

As a result, during a bear market, players willingly use satoshi as bets, rather than fiat money or stablecoins. During a bull market, it is the opposite.

What advice can I give to such players? Our whole life is a game. If you gamble in an online casino, then you should not pay attention to such moments. It is better to focus on the game itself, on the emotions you get from it.

It's an illusion, people don't realize that it's all money.

Let's say you bet with your Bitcoin and you have USDT, how come you have that USDT, how did you acquire it, and for what purpose and more importantly, what stops you from buying Bitcoin with them once you lose your coins on betting? It's easier to say that you could bet with stablecoin but at the moment x you still need those stablecoins that you will acquire with money, just as you have your Bitcoins.

You have $100 USDT, you bet with that instead of Bitcoins, you lose, now your loss is $100 or how much could you have made by buying BTC instead?

We always want to keep the "best money" for ourselves and will spend what we value less first. But in your case, it's just your choice, because the money you sent to the casino for gambling could be converted into any coin, even bitcoin, ether or stablecoin, and whether you win or lose would depend only on you. Even if you played for stablecoins, you could buy bitcoin with your winnings and put it on hold, but if you lost, it doesn't matter anymore, because this money has already gone to the casino.

I think OP has less understanding of why people bet using crypto. Firstly, the traditional casino method of funding is fiat money which is mostly usd and not everyone has the privilege to bet with usd and since crypto is versatile, Bitcoin casino where the first thing around, stable coins weren't things then because of the controversial they are and government restrictions, most often casinos tend to accept deposit of Bitcoin and some other privacy coins.

Anyone that want ti bet with a stable coin is doing it to avoid volatility, it's the same usd amount you are using to bet. It's even better to use Bitcoin to bet so when you are accumulating Bitcoin, it will help you to put more Bitcoin together and the market is green like the way it's now, you will end more value in Bitcoin than doing so in stable coins that will remain stagnant.

Yes I can relate with what you are saying and I do not joke with my Bitcoin because my Bitcoin is also my asset.  I can only gamble with USDT instead of Bitcoin. From my opinion, when losing your Bitcoin to the casino and Bitcoin is skyrocketing, the casino will be on double gain why you at double loss, and you will probably regret it anytime you think about it. That's why it's better to gamble with a stable coins (like what you have already said).

Well it's simple  investing it's way different from gambling and gambling shouldn't be seen as any investment of any kind cause you tend to lose in most cases and yes we know what it takes to invest and just as Bitcoin it's a long term investment and of recent since the victory of Trump as president Bitcoin as bitten an all time high rate thereby skyrocketing to a higher value and this is why holding it is at an advantage so yes investing would do alot good than loosing to gambling so you shouldn't conclude on that cause you made losses.

I quite understand what you're saying there. If you lose fiat, you can easily quantify what you lose in fiat and that's all. There won't be any regret of it doing X2 or X100 in back and forth thought. This is a similar scenario I'm having at hand now with Ton. A lot of airdrop projects I'm participating in demand that airdrop hunters do transactions in Ton on Telegram bots and so. The demand for Ton is crazy yet the price isn't moving with that demand and publicity it has gathered for itself. What is paid for may not be worth much now but it can be in the near future.

We're almost there now. Today, Bitcoin crossed $93k. Before end of December, it's very likely to do more than $150k.

That is right because by having USDT, we are free to use to playing gambling or buy Bitcoin as our investment. But we must limits our money to playing gambling and choose to buy Bitcoin so we will have more Bitcoin that we can sells at a high price. We can not just playing gambling without thinking our future so we must prepare that carefully.

It is better we holds our Bitcoin because we knew what happen to Bitcoin so when we can sell our Bitcoin at $90,000, that will be a nice profit to us. But if we use our Bitcoin to playing gambling, there is no guarantee we can win but we may lose our Bitcoin without left.

Yeah I mean not a bad call at all. Gambling and losing Bitcoin all in one shot is sad because not only do you lose the coin but also the future gains that coin brings you. It’s enough sometimes to really make you kick yourself haha so yes I guess I can relate.

Just like the first sentence on the first comment, I would say you don't have to reflect your mind back to the Bitcoin you lost while gambling. If the price of Bitcoin didn't start pumping lately, you wouldn't even give it a thought, so, shun the thought that it doesn't make you feel bad. By the way, I have only gamble with crypto a few times, I prefer using  fait. Although, it's normal for you to feel the way you are feeling right now but it should just be a lesson, that's if you don't want to gamble with Bitcoin again.

You can't say Bitcoin isn't for gambling as people and crypto casino platforms already allow for that, but maybe it may not suit you but it's done anyways and you just have to accept the fact that it's what it is currently, there are other people who aswell by I to this idea of yours but it still doesn't change the fact, Bitcoin can be used anyways you want to use it, and so casinos who accept it now use it as an acceptable stake.
