It works for me, and I always recommend it to anyone who's interested and curious about getting started. It's simple enough and gives you time to get familiar. Also, you're not constantly fixated on the price.
For those who want to continually buy Bitcoin to invest, not focusing too much on the price can also be a very good option. Investors who like to buy Bitcoin to increase their holdings aren't necessarily looking for the best price to do so consistently, so they'll keep buying regardless of the price. So, if you want to advise others about Bitcoin investment, it's a good idea to inform them about Bitcoin's volatility and the frequent price fluctuations in the market. When the people you recommend are aware of this and Bitcoin's trajectory over the past few years, they won't be immediately afraid to buy Bitcoin if they truly intend to hold Bitcoin long-term. You know newbie investors will always at first show why they are newbies, irrespective of how much orientations you give them about bitcoin, when market volatility is high. But as they continue to grow with their investment, they begin to develop thick skin to withstand the market volatility and get use to it on their own. Experience will always make people understand things more and know how to go about it, than when they just it learn from other people without having first hand experience. In a highly volatile asset like Bitcoin, only theoretical knowledge is not enough to prepare mentally. Many investors only understand their risk tolerance after seeing a big drop in the market. Experience plays a role in building an investor's mental toughness and ability to make realistic decisions. You should not risk large sums of money to gain experience. If you invest in small amounts from the beginning, within your capabilities and according to a long-term plan, you can gradually gain real experience. Experience itself does not guarantee the right decision. Many people can make emotional decisions even after being in the market for many years. Along with experience, discipline, risk management and understanding your own financial limitations are also important. Therefore, it may be better for a new investor to start small. And gradually mature your investment plan based on that experience.

Experience will always make people understand things more and know how to go about it, than when they just it learn from other people without having first hand experience. There is a big difference between just learning from others and knowledge gained through real experience, because reality is difficult, so the knowledge you gain through real experience will be richer and more effective. And this is also very effective in the case of Bitcoin investment. There are many people who want to know everything before starting to invest, that is, they will start investing after knowing everything, as a result of which they waste time in one day, and the knowledge they gain through it will not explain everything to them in depth. Instead, when he starts investing only in a very small scale through general knowledge and continues to know Bitcoin through his real experience, then it will be more effective. Because as a result, on the one hand, as he is gaining knowledge through real experience, on the other hand, his investment is also maintained and his portfolio is also being built. That is, it is effective from all sides, and this is the best way to start for beginners.

Any newbies that have a good orientation in their first Bitcoin investments are always difference from those that just jump into the investments without understanding or having a background guide, all those types of newbies are not end well in their investments. Because they think they wise that’s why they prefer to work with their own decisions without being told by others, and if a person have knowledge about investments with difference people it allow them to get much experience on they can handle their future investment and also market volatility.

Self-Custody is a right. Say no to "non-custodial"

1) Self-Custody is a right. Resist being labelled as: "non-custodial" or "un-hosted." 2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized. 3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

I will mention an investor who calculated that he has $30 a week that he will not need for the next few years. In this case, should he wait for someone else's approval or guidance before buying Bitcoin with the first $10 or $20? I would personally tell investors at that level to start and then adjust their position size as needed to suit their own situation and needs. I say this because, while having a background guide may be an added advantage, there is no point in waiting for him to start. Because when an investor comes to teach him, he will probably advise him to start first if he has discretionary income. This does not mean that he is jumping in blindly, but that he will create an opportunity to learn through real experience after starting with small amounts.

That totally a wrong requirement he places on newbies to investment. Newbies doesn’t need to ask others before starting his or her bitcoin investment journey and they don’t need to wait for other’s opinions before they can start their journey. So what if the newbie doesn’t have anyone in crypto space to ask or any investors to ask so @AYOBA is assuming that the investment need to be put on pause? Because that totally seems like procrastination and waste of time not especially not when the investor has their discretionary income in check. If the newbie have the basic knowledge of how bitcoin investment works then with his discretionary income the journey can begin without much waste of a time. We don’t need validation from others before we can start our investment and other’s opinions shouldn’t be what put a stop to our investment.

Those investors who wants to know everything about bitcoin before they start investing may end up never investing because bitcoin is broad and it would take a very long time to understand deep concepts. knowledge is good, but it is more important to get started with your investment journey once you can relate to having discretionary income and you know how to buy. Knowledge gaining is a gradual process and it is a better scenario that while you advance your knowledge in bitcoin, you are also advancing in your accumulation journey by consistently buying and holding bitcoin as well. Most investors unnecessarily keep postponing getting started because they feel they have not learned enough, but the best practice is to start small, and keep buying little quantities until you've learned enough to find your confidence to increase your buying amounts and get more quantities as you buy. prolonged procrastinations may lead to decision fatigue and in that case the investor might never even be able to have enough courage to kickstart his accumulation journey despite finding enough convictions. It is always better to get started early enough, so that the more you keep buying and stay in the market, the more you deepen your understanding about bitcoin, since naturally you'll be drawn to understanding more about an investment you consistently put your money into.

One mistake some of us often make is that we assume that since someone is new to Bitcoin, it means that they're also completely new to investing. We tend to forget that one can be a newbie in Bitcoin and crypto but already have multiple years of experience in investing in stocks, bonds or other assets. For someone with sort of experience, they only need to understand the basics of Bitcoin like how to buy, properly secure it, the risks involved and patience needed to begin investing without seeking for anyone's advice or opinion. If such person has discretionary income and wants to invest, they'll do so without asking for anyone's permission because they already know what investment actually entails. For every newbie, learning how to invest in Bitcoin is very important but there's a difference between having the knowledge and waiting for approvals before taking your decision. Sometimes, you even gain better experience by making your own decisions and learning from the outcomes.

He was not able to tell us the level of knowledge that a newbie need to have before they can invest if they have their discreationary income, I think this has to tell us the level confusion some folks keep creating making look like what they are saying is right, there is no way he's gonna answer this question you ask. @AYOBA won't tell me that he has not been following up discussion in this thread to understand that whether someone is a newbie that has little knowledge about Bitcoin or newbies that has no knowledge about Bitcoin but are starting their Bitcoin investment for the first time, as long as they have figured out their discreationary income, nothing should stop them from investing.

And why are you linking Bitcoin to having experience in other assets in the first place? It’s creating the idea of “I need experience in blah blah asset so I can automatically start investing in Bitcoin to be better than other newbies” Different asset with different level of risk, and way they work. Someone can be totally new to investing and still start small while learning about Bitcoin along the way. Newbies don’t need any sit and wait to have knowledge about Bitcoin before investing. The important thing is being able to do some addition and subtraction to figure out discretionary income, then kick off with a sustainable plan.
