Although 4 years is the minimum of how long an investor is meant to hold but when we're talking about long term holding you're looking at 2 circles or a decade and more, according to what I've learnt here. Well every has a choice and if the investors target is to hold for 4 years before taking profits, maybe it's not a bad idea.

Like you said, which i support that all the holdings shouldn't be sold, an investor should spend 4 years holding just to sell it all when the target is met, Bitcoin is a continuous investment therefore some portions can be sold then the remaining still held for more possible future returns.
You can buy or sell whenever you want, there is no obligation. You don't need to get permission from anyone to sell Bitcoin, you can handle everything yourself. Selling Bitcoin after four years or after a cycle is not a bad idea, but what will you do after selling Bitcoin? Will you not invest in it in the future? So investing in Bitcoin should be seen as a long term investment, it can be said that it should be gradually increased as savings. So it would not be wrong to see Bitcoin investment as a means of savings, so one should invest according to one's ability in the DCA method.

You can buy or sell Bitcoin whenever you want, but the main thing is that if you want to achieve good success from Bitcoin, then you need to buy Bitcoin consistently and hold it for the long term. You have the freedom to decide when to buy, when to sell, and how long to hold it, but when you buy and sell as you wish in the hope of short-term success, then it becomes a kind of gambling, and then it can also cause big financial losses. However, Bitcoin basically gives you complete control and freedom, but when we invest in Bitcoin for long-term purposes and if we want to achieve a good success, then we must hold Bitcoin for the long term. The price of Bitcoin will never increase for sure, it moves with volatility, and therefore it is not possible to achieve short-term success from Bitcoin, only when you invest in Bitcoin consistently for 4-10 years, it can give high success.

I find investors using the DCA strategy invest for the long term.
Special Considerations Should Beginners Follow the DCA Method for Bitcoin Investments? What Can Be the Outcome -Future
The DCA technique has always been one of the best and easiest accumulation strategies for investors especially the newbie investors and from my personal perspective of view, I think the advantages of using the DCA strategy can't just be overemphasized at this point and always from that, below are the few advantages of using the DCA Strategy:
- it makes investment easier because investors don't have to too careful while investing because it doesn't require the investor to pay strict attention to market conditions before investing.
- you don't have to know so much before using this strategy as all you need to know is how to buy and hold and buying ai at anytime.

This is to avoid making mistakes when selling due to uncertainties about the direction of the Bitcoin sale proceeds. Many times, after selling people don't know where they're going until after they've sold, and the proceeds they achieve can become the main capital for increasing their future income. For example, they immediately use the Bitcoin sale proceeds to start a new business or venture as a strong support when their Bitcoin investment position is no longer viable. Their escape must remain focused on the business they started and the results they gained during their Bitcoin investment.

Self-Custody is a right. Say no to "non-custodial"

[edited out]
If someone does not have discretionary income, it may be reasonable to reduce their purchases or take a temporary break. It is logical to reduce the amount of purchases with changes in income and expenses and plan accordingly. But buying less because the price seems high and buying more because the price seems low is a decision to guess the next direction of the market.

It is realistic that if the amount you have planned to buy decreases due to additional expenses this month, you will buy less. But if you increase your allocation just because the price has fallen, you may not have considered whether that additional money was previously set aside for investment. In this, market fluctuations can take you beyond your means. Therefore, it is better to keep the flexible plan within the income and expenses and the previously determined investment limits. If the amount you buy changes depending on the price, it will be clear to understand it as a separate strategy rather than following the same rule of regular buying.

Maybe you are retarded @Rabata?

If someone does not have discretionary income they cannot buy bitcoin and call it an investment.  If they do not have discretionary income then they are using money that is needed for basic expenses, and therefore they would be gambling with their bitcoin buy, which is not recommended.

It is not recommended to trade or gamble with bitcoin purchases.

DCA is for investment, and guys have to have discretionary funds to be able to buy bitcoin and call it an investment.

1) Self-Custody is a right.  Resist being labelled as: "non-custodial" or "un-hosted."  2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized.  3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

You're quote on Rabata is broken, I think its best to fix that so people can clearly read your opinion posted here.

Also if they don't have discretionary funds, then the money they are using is all they have. Including those intended for basic needs. They are not actually investing in that set up, but rather what they do is gambling.

So for them to get out on trading category. Much better to sort out their finances and try to have discretionary funds to use for their daily, weekly or monthly accumulation.

You have described trading in a way that makes it fashionable but no matter how beautiful you make it seem, trading should be avoided by investor who wishes to build wealth for the future because chances are that those funds will be traded away and not retained. How do you even support selling Bitcoin to start up another business? Is there any business that you are confident will be better than holding your Bitcoin? I don't support selling off Bitcoin and putting the money into another business because I believe that Bitcoin is still the best investment portfolio anyone can keep so here is no wisdom in selling Bitcoin with the hope of buying back in the future or using the money for another investment.

Selling the entire amount of Bitcoin does not seem to be the right decision for me. Because the future of Bitcoin seems very bright, there is no certainty if the price of Bitcoin will increase but the possibility of Bitcoin increasing in the future is much higher. So do not sell Bitcoin at this time and protect yourself from future regrets. Yes, if a person exceeds the period of his investment, he can withdraw some profit and enjoy it, but withdrawing the entire amount will never be the right decision.

If we imagine the current demand and future demand for Bitcoin, then the current price seems to be still in its initial stage. If a person has exceeded his period, then he can withdraw some profit and enjoy it and increase his holding period.

With high capital, using DCA will slow accumulation. The goal of every investor is to reach the point of reasonable accumulation. By holding a huge amount of capital, it doesn't make sense to invest little weekly, unless the investor decides to take less risk, which puts the investor under the second category of less risk takers.

You can't just buy bitcoin and sell it whenever you want, they has to be a reason as to why you are selling it.  If you are selling too early for quick profits then that's means you re trader, traders don't hold bitcoin over the long term which is why they settle for cheap gains that won't add any real value to their lives.

There is no law that stop you from selling your bitcoin but it would be unreasonable to start a bitcoin investment without having a  longer term target, If you aren't holding bitcoin over the next 5-10 years or more, you are simply a trader and you will continue to settle for minimal profits that won't add any real value to your life. The way you're bent on selling your bitcoin, I doubt if you can hold it for the next 4 years.

This is not very correct. How will you say that DCA is only for low capital investors or low income earners?

The DCA strategy is a strategy for all both poor and rich. That a person is a high capital investor does not make DCA inefficient for him instead, it boosts his investments regularly. Every investors' DCA amount is dependent on his income, perhaps, low income earners with low DCA amount while high income earners have larger amount for each DCA day.

Same way, you can achieve your goal faster. Let me remind you, a low income earner may have a DCA amount of $40 per week. In 6 months he has invested 6*40*4 = $960

A high income earner can set his weekly DCA amount at $1k and in 6 months he has 6*1000*4 = $24k invested already. This is still a DCA strategy, the amount only varies because of differences in income of the two.

These differences may be due to differences in basic responsibilities of the two or differences in the income amount of the investors or both. The amount that appears as a lump-sum to a low income investor could be a weekly DCA investment of a high income earner so you don't need to get it twisted based on the amount that the rich and poor invest.

It doesn't go down well with me to take my time to accumulate bitcoin over a long period of time and sell it all to start up a traditional business that's prone to inflation. I believe that in the long run that business wouldn't be able to generate the profit that your bitcoin stash which you sold will generate from the compounding value if you just hodli since, you have reached your accumulation stage.

However, if you want to diversify into a business, you should do that when you have accumulated half of your bitcoin target or more.

Just that even if you can buy or sell it, it should be that when you're buying it, you should either be DCA or you are buying the dip. Another thing is that if you are selling, it should be that you are selling because you have made a profit. You are not selling because of panic, because the majority of people are selling because they are panicking, and what they forget is that that is how the market works. Another thing is that most people lack the patience before selling they want to make quick money, and it does not work that way.

And those who are investing in Bitcoin should understand that it's a long-term investment, so there is no way you are supposed to be rushing, and that is why it is not a quick way to make money; so better still, do your own research (DYOR) we should know all these things.

You are right, no wise investor will ever sell all their Bitcoin regardless of how huge the profit is and even if someone has gotten to overaccumulation stage it is not still wise to sell all Bitcoin in one's portfolio but rather the wise thing every reasonable investor will do, will be to sell some fraction if at all there is need to do that because you can not just stay and sell your Bitcoin when you don't have anything to do with it meanwhile, selling doesn't mean you won't be accumulating gradually because you need to maintain or grow even more.

No argument but I want to say that DCA strategy is used by two set of people, low capital investors and low risk takers investor. An investor has to fall within one of the categories to use DCA as his primary strategy to accumulate bitcoin.
Streamlining the DCA method to two set of people may do more harm than good to this discussion by making some people, who cannot ascertain if they fall into either of the categories, believe that it is not for them. What I do know is that the DCA method is for everyone irrespective of the income class and as long as the investor us poised to holding for long. The underlying factor of the DCA method is the ease and comfort it offers which makes it suitable for anyone to buy and hold. The DCA method does not dwell so much on risk since risk in Bitcoin is only a factor when the investor plan to sell

With high capital, using DCA will slow accumulation. The goal of every investor is to reach the point of reasonable accumulation. By holding a huge amount of capital, it doesn't make sense to invest little weekly, unless the investor decides to take less risk, which puts the investor under the second category of less risk takers.
I don't know how you came up with this idea but I do know that even big capitals like Microstrategy were using the DCA method to accumulate some of their Bitcoin. Their purchases ran into millions at a time so I wonder how that means slowing the investor down. There is no fixed amount that should be used for the DCA method so if the investor have big capital,  he can start bigger and vice versa. The DCA method is not only reserved for certain set of people.

Why do you want to sell your Bitcoin? How long have you accumulated Bitcoin, and how much of Bitcoin have you been able to buy that you are already giving advice on how to sell your bitcoin to avoid mistake.

You want to sell due to uncertainties? What are the uncertainties, maybe you want to tell us? Go on and tell us. Aren't there back up funds to help you out during this proclaimed uncertainties, or you failed to build appropriate back up funds when necessary?

Surely, anyone can do what they like. But it's not advisable to sell your assets so early into your accumulation journey. Any investor who sells his Bitcoin within the time frame of 4 years and below 10 years at least is considered a trader except for the cases of age limitations, else, investors should HODL Bitcoin for longer periods, 4-10 years and above.

For those new to investing. DCA is a way to help establish a consistent investing routine while minimizing the need to time the market. But it does not eliminate the volatility of Bitcoin or ensure that profits will be made. Even over a number of years. I believe what is more important for newcomers to learn is that four years does not equal success. It should be a period of time where they can afford to invest their money. A fixed schedule can minimize emotional decision making. But it is important for the beginner to know the reasons for buying and when the financial situation may dictate selling.

You are right that even if you reach the over accumulation stage, it may not be the right decision to sell your Bitcoin holdings completely. The need for traditional real assets cannot be denied. I think it is fair to withdraw part of the profit when Bitcoin investment reaches a favorable level (over accumulation) because in reality we invest to make a profit and the growth of real assets should also be prioritized.

If you have real assets available, you can easily stay in Bitcoin accumulation for the long term and be able to comfortably build up your Bitcoin holdings. It is better to withdraw Bitcoin (profitable part) when it reaches a sustainable level, and it would be wise to run DCA regularly without stopping Bitcoin accumulation.

The DCA is not only for low capital investors as everyone can make use of the DCA no matter the level of their finance whether low income or high income earners. It’s designed for all and sundry to help everyone invest according to their level of financial capability. Bitcoin investment is already a high risk investment so you don’t have to make it difficult or worst for yourself  by increasing your own risk and that is why the DCA strategy is adopted to mitigate the impact of the risk of loss associated with market volatility.

The capital to use and invest is just a discretionary income no matter how small or huge, what matters most is that you’re investing according to your financial means after sorting out your basic expenses. DCA doesn’t slow accumulation because it allows you to buy bitcoin regularly at any market price provided you have the discretionary income to use and buy bitcoin, the DCA is even regarded as an effective buying method because it allows regular and consistent buy.

so if your discretionary income is that huge nothing stops you from buying bitcoin with it even while you’re using the DCA method. You can decide to lump sum buy as well when extra or additional money comes to you while ongoingly DCAing.

Those who understand how to use the DCA correctly will never be bothered about the market noise that have been making some investors to sell their holdings instead of building their Bitcoin portfolio. The price of Bitcoin will never move in one direction alone but in different direction and those that are always checking to know the price  of Bitcoin can make the mistake to sell their portfolio too early maybe after the price of Bitcoin has gone up successfully. DCA strategy helps investors to feel free to buy Bitcoin without bothering about the price of Bitcoin if its going up or going down.
