Well in this context, then I think you would be surprised to the amount of dumb people that are actively doing what you just said they would not do. Exactly and a very good point, one spending all of his or her salary on gambling doesn't mean they have low IQ at all, it's simply a sign of a feeling that they need more money and desperate enough to risk their entire salary on gambling in a bid to see if they can double or triple it by several X's.

Yes, you could say they are stupid and they work and get paid to gamble. The salary they earn with hard work should be used for something useful for themselves, but instead it is wasted and even though sometimes they win, what they should realize is that the percentage of losses is greater than the wins they get, therefore they should make a budget and only set aside a small portion of their salary for gambling which I think is wiser.
