Addiction happens with different sources. When it comes to gambling it is all about the situation and the need that drive us towards it. Even an addicted gambler will be considered good and helpful in the society until he's known to the society as a gambler. When he's known to the society as gambler, people starts to make different thoughts on him, even though he's a good character person. This is upon how the society looks upon him and not his real nature. This means, it is the mistake of the society and not his.

That is one thing that the society changes with the way they look at someone when it's about like that. It's hard to watch out for what you'll do just to please people but then, it's not our obligation to please people. If you're from a society that is looking up on you, there's nothing to be thought of as a burden with that. You just do your thing and keep going because there is no need for you to think of what others have to think of you. You live your life as a gambler and whatever is your personality that is sometimes shown to them, just make sure that you'll make it good for them as a natural thing and not a fake one just because you gamble.

I could maybe see how a certainly personality type would be attracted to gambling over a different personality type, but I don’t see how gambling could influence that personality type.

I'm not so convinced about this ideas,because gambling is not so much of a good habit and i see no connections with one's personality and his/her gambling prowess.Its more of entertainment,fun and merriments;I don't seem to see much on morals, social standards and disciplinary measures that'll demonstrate how to portray good personality traits.

Gambling  regardless of personality can lead to bad decisions. Even the best people can be lured in bad behaviors when something like gambling makes it so easy for example to lose everything.

So I'd say there does not need to be huge focus on psychology or personality types. After all these things are not set in stone and generally aren't even that respected among scientists. So basically don't rely on shoddy psychology and supposed personality metrics. If you've got an issue based on your history just don't play.

I agree with you %100 about this your statement, sometimes addiction can make a person not know what is even called change since it has become a lifestyle.  Most people keep on saying "I will change" when they don't even know what is change. Except an addicted person learns self control about his level of addiction then he can be considered a person that is familiar to change or a person that knows what change mean.  The most difficult task is working on yourself to change which includes many things like bad manner of approach, addiction of smoking/drinking or drug abuse.  And many more. I can suppose that someone just don`t interest in the gambling, or has some other/additional hobbies, or don`t have enough time for gambling. All these people just can`t become gambing addicts in such situation. They don`t need any dsicipline for it - they just on the another side from the gambling. Even if they are playing - they just don`t feel enough emotions to become an addict. I think that problem with gambing addiction is not the problem with gambling and self control. It looks like that people try to solve some their problems using gambling. Both have adrenaline included on these two traits, but we have to pick where we put these adrenaline, On being aggressive in gambling or flight and not getting addicted to gambling, we carry these two traits at all times. We may be highly motivated outside of gambling, but once we gamble, we can tame our addiction by employing the flight traits of our personality.

Exactly, basically it is true that self-control and various actions that lead to limitations or prevention can only be done when someone is in consciousness, previously I often discussed consciousness and the following also by advising gamblers to always maintain consciousness in themselves, none other than because as you said even though previously a gambler realized that gambling could be riskier when done without caution but in the end it does not mean it is impossible for them to lose consciousness and fall into various aggressive decisions especially when their emotions are already provoked. I was just have this thoughts, as we have been saying, to be not addicted to gambling, we should have self-control. There is a reason that you'll find many more bookies in poorer areas and very few in richer areas. A large part of the reason is the less money you have, the more desperate you can become and trying all kinds of shortscuts to get that step up. However there is unfortunately an education gap as well, where the more highly educated are less likely to fall for the obvious money traps that gambling sites will try to use. Gambling moderately is quite normal but when it becomes an addiction then there's a chance that it would affect your personality. Gambling addiction can affect your mental state which can change how you think and coordinate yourself. There are people who get easily triggered emotionally or dealing with anger issues because of their gambling addiction. The frustration that comes with this self destructive habit has also turned some people to drug addicts, they do this as a way to cope with the emotional rollercoasters that they feel. Personalities has nothing to do with gambling, gambling is all about mindset and understanding. People with good and bad personality can choose to go into gambling base on how they feel about it or what they think about. We all have different reasons why we choose to gamble and we all have different personality. Gambling is a game of fun and sometimes people will also misunderstand it as a game whereby money can be generated, people with good or bad personality can have this mentality about gambling. Personality doesn't enfluence people to have interest in gambling.
