Idk, it's actually sometimes pretty easy to see? Like I'm in tech, and I've been fired a couple of times. It's pretty easy to see that it was either because of layoffs due to overhiring or just someone who was better than me. Doesn't mean that I'm bad at my job, just means that someone was a lot better than me in doing it. Definitely thought I had to look for a job immediately when I got fired the first time though. Felt like I had nothing in me without one.

Honestly, if you want a "stable" stable job, do government. Once you get a permanent position afaik it's pretty difficult being fired from it. Granted the salary isn't that attractive but hey, it's a tradeoff between competition and money.

Most people simply don't have enough time for everything. You have to use your time wisely and to be very good at something to be successful. Unfortunately, most people have neither enough time nor enough talent. If you have both, you have an opportunity that most people on this planet never had and would never have - use it!

Having lost a job, it is tough for that person to immediately assess the reasons as to why. They might take time out and start looking for a new job eventually which is normal, because everyone has mouths to feed.

The reasons might not just point to the employee but a multitude of reasons might exist, most of which are beyond our control. Thus new skills or development might not always be the solution.

It is for this reason why investments should be running on the side and strong enough to cushion the bad times.

No matter how impressed your boss or manager is with you as an employee, it is still better to have something of your own where you are not working under someone else and following someone else's orders because that gives you more room to grow and expand yourself and your business whether you are selling a product or a service.

There is a reason why people with day jobs are fed up with it and want to start something of their own even if they are earning less money from it because money alone isn't the most important thing; mental calmness and satisfaction play a significant role in your professional career. If you are doing something that you love doing while not having to listen to someone else, you will see a lot of changes in your life in general apart from the professional side.

For me, I would instead do something that earns men $1,000 a month with mental peace than earn $2,000 with a job where I'm always stressed out.

Frankly, I totally understand what you saying. Personally, I believe that taking time to reflect and invest in yourself after losing a job is incredibly valuable and needed. It gives you the chance to figure out what went wrong what you miss and what you can improve. I think exploring new skills or experiences could lead to better opportunities and a more stable future.

However, I also know that not everyone has the ability of finance to take that time off. I believe that for many people survival comes first and I also lived that period. We sometimes have more bills to pay and responsibilities to meet, so finding a new job right away is the only option. This lack of time and resources can keep us stuck in the same position with little opportunity for growth or higher wages. Personally, I wish there were more support systems in place to help people develop their skills while still meeting their basic needs. It’s also a matter of the place you live in, some people they can’t even find positions to work online due to the stability of internet or electricity.

Well depends on the responsibilities you have since there are some people cannot take to standby for many days since they have mouth to feed. So instead of crouching in the corner thinking about the mistakes you made better stand up and find another good opportunities available. If there's opportunity lose for sure there would be another better one would open. One of the main reasons why they don't have time to take an off is because they are maybe a family guy, and they don't have time to spend on learning. What I mean is that there are some who doesn't have the privilege to take an off and have a day without any salary because they need it in order to survive. I guess that's why most of them find a job immediately after being fired or if they lose their job.

I've experienced this after I graduated from college when I got hired then after a few months, got fired. After that, I guess I'm lucky that I have a privilege to not work and to not have a salary at that time, so I took it to learn some skills that I'm using now.

We have different way of living. Some might not have the time to learn new things because they might not earn thus, their family might suffer, but there are some who has it and can spend their time learning. This is the reason why I always tell people to invest, not only on yourself, but also on emergency funds. Not totally investing but having emergency funds will give you a cushion and time as well to learn new things.

Taking some time off to think things over and get better after losing a job can really help, but not everyone have the privilege to do that, some people don't have enough money to just not working. I myself experience to be jobless for more than 3 months, only work as freelance, and from my experience I dare to say that we can do both, learning new skill while looking for a job, even while working on a full time job.

We are very lucky if we land on a job that allows us to have flexible time and allows us to work from home but not everyone can have that. Some people’s jobs take so much of their time that they go home only to sleep and rest. No other activities can be inserted anymore after working hours due to fatigue. So, I get that it would be a lot more difficult to other people especially if their job is physically and mentally demanding.

However if we really want to improve, we have to really squeeze ourselves out to ensure that we achieve our goals.

Yeah definitely I am aware of that, but then if our work demand so much time and energy we should be able to grow and develop our skills of that work, and we should have added value so we can advance our career, and get better salary. If our work demand so much time but there is no room to grow our skills related to that work and we don't have clear career path then I guess we are in a toxic work environment and should consider find another job.

Yes, ideally like that, after losing a job we should take a break to evaluate ourselves or introspect. Indeed, the best time to evaluate is after losing a job or being unemployed, so that we have the best time to make a new plan that is more effective and better than before.

Yes it is true and I agree with you. day by day technology is improving and along with it many new things are being discovered.  And along with this, people's needs are changing, so every company always tries their best to create new things and provide better customer service to survive in this competitive business. so of course company owners will always look for expert employees. Upskilling nowadays is very important. While it is good to be a jack of all trades eventually but at the very beginning, we need to have a focus into one skill before we proceed into being master of none or all.

The job market competition is very tough and that's why we need to at least have an idea on what we want to pursue. I think there should be a little time given to everyone that is employed by a firm to allow them upgrade themselves if necessary and their daily task be shifted to other staff so that they don't end up lacking behind. There are so many things that can make someone lose there jobs and not only because of what they are lacking or what they should have learned, we should no that all working environment or working condition may not be okay to some persons do to the maltreatment they are facing on such jobs in the hands of there boss or rather employer, so we cannot ask such person to check were there mistakes is coming from because with some employers no matter how much skill you have invested in yourself they would always look for the bad side.

Meanwhile in some cases incompetence is the reason why some persons lose there jobs, so actually such person are the ones that needs to ask themselves a lot of question as regards to the reason why there job was terminated hence working towards perfecting themselves whether through enrolling themselves on more training or other processes, to avoid being sacked again if they get a new job.

In third world countries, getting a government job is very hard, unless you have some like we call a backer. A person that is in the higher position and that he could vouch for you and back it up. And that's why corruption is very prevalent in third world countries because of this so called nepotism.

But if you lose your job, obviously you will have to get one. You can't just and take a rest in the next couple of months. Specially if you don't save money, the very first instinct is to get one. It's also for your sanity, I mean it doesn't look good that after losing a job, you will just simply sit in your house and then let your parents handle everything for you.

Well, what you're saying is partially true but one can learn many things while working a full time job because they might hardly work for like 10 hours on extreme level right which means they still got 14 hours remaining in a day to make themselves more skilled and productive. But people are not ready to try anything and simply they are just contained with what they make until they lose the job and hit the rock bottom when when it happens and starts over again which is why they never climb up this ladder.

Developing yourself and getting a noncompetitive skill can help you standout wherever you work. If you work as a database analyst in a computer you would be valued because it's a skill that's not common out there. Sometimes we job hunt due to the fact that we need to put food on our table but we forget that if you don't build yourself and have what it takes to keep up in This competitive world you might always fall behind.
