Joblessness is crazy sometimes one will reason many things when you have money how you would have try to save the money so that it will not finish lol , though in many cases of joblessness some people lost their jobs due to bad attitudes , some lost it due to impatient and many where sack due to mistakes,some also resigned officially due to frustration in the place of work, your boss can decide to hate you to the core when you didn't even do anything in place of work, those things can make you leave the job because increments and many opportunities will not longer get to you, due to the hate ,but try as much as you can yo take care of you self by doing one thing or the other to be ingadge into something doing.

The customers are rude, and there are fines for items stolen by customers, which means that the salespeople receive even less money because it is deducted from their salaries. This is terrible. I kind of understand the situation as you have briefly explained and it's just similar to the state of employment in mine country too. There are lots of underemployment jobs which salary can't really take care of personal needs, how more than if a family man, and as a result people just seek for other alternatives. My niece that works in one of these gas stations always complains about having shortages in sells and she has to now cover each shortage with her underpaid salary at the end of the month. Industrious women would always find something to lay their hands on to do that would earn them money without having to depend on men, it's just the lazy ones that gets affected.

You should always keep in mind that since you will be working under someone else, the better you can show your interest in your work, your ability to work, your ability to work, the more the employer will favor you and give you more priority than others.

You are quite right, i just can't generalise but sincerely speaking some customers are actually very rude, but I think why the salespeople always ignore them is because they believe in the terminology which says "customers are always right". They are not earning so much, but still they never give up, they dedicate their lives in pursuing their own dreams. I do not know your country but I can confirm that in my country such job opportunities do exist but the salaries is nothing compared to that of someone that is doing nothing at all, they are not treated with respect, they are paid peanuts and most wicked shop owners punish them by deducting their salaries for a minor issues you don't expect them to keep rushing such openings when they work and still feed like peasants they will avoid such jobs. In my country women are more favoured than men in jobs they get more salaries too so they do not suffer like us the men.

Based on how the economic conditions in most countries are, it's not easy for someone who works 9 to 5 to make an average income to save money and have funds for emergencies. In current times, only those who are running their own businesses or those who have jobs in big corporations and companies and are getting good salary can actually save money, otherwise, if you are just a regular employee in a mid-level private company, you probably make enough only to get through the month, and you might even have to borrow funds by the end of the month to cover everything because of how high the inflation is in most countries.
