They were able to perform well in batting from the start. As a result, Sydney Thunder was able to win today and they achieved their target of 157 runs in 18.5 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. The apathy of the batsmen was a big problem in the match. They may have forgotten that if they lose this match, they will have no chance. They will be eliminated from becoming champions. In such matches, batsmen usually try to give the highest target to win. But we did not get the performance of Sydney Sixers in that way. The way the team progressed in the beginning of this tournament, they could not play in the end. That is why they could not play in the final at the end. Most of the batsmen could not bat very well. Their strike rate was very low which is why Sydney Sixers lost the match. Kurtis Patterson 11 runs off 11 balls, Jack Edwards 7 off 8 balls, Philippe 16 off 12 balls and Henriques 29 runs off 30 balls basically held the team back. If they could have scored a few more runs, the match would have been competitive.

Last season's worst team Sydney Thunders qualified for final now looking for their second title in Big Bash League history while Hobart Hurricanes are looking for their first title in 14 years it's going to be interesting final on 27th February at Hobart.

If we compare both teams this season I think Hobart Hurricanes are a better team and they may win the final tomorrow. A lot of hopes from Tim David, Mitchell Owen and Riley Meredith in this final. In the knockout stages Hobart Hurricanes beat Sydney Sixers and qualified for the finals.

If we look at the journey for Sydney Thunders, they ended up on the third position in the points table but they beat Melbourne Stars and Sydney Sixers and made their way to the finals. They have struggled hard to get to this final and this can be an advantage to them in this final.
