The best time to do is for one to stick to what we are interested in especially when we don't have a gambling habit. Every gambler knows what inspires them when they gambles and one don't have to force it especially when we are not used to it. During the holiday could look like a good time to get but sometimes, I prefer to go outings and talk to friends than to relax playing bets online. The mood to bet everytime is not always there so I just take my time and engage in others things that will be beneficial to me. Actually holidays are meant for fun! Playing games, going out, flexing and doing other things. Betting is something I believe we can do anytime we like.

Ironically, it has been proven over and over again gambling is an activity which is mostly partaken by those who come from a poor financial background and do not have access to attractive jobs or higher education, otherwise, gambling would not be so widespread in countries like Nigeria and India, where there are significant percentages of people suffering from social and economical problems...

Maybe because with the situation of financial freedom it is likely to make someone more likely to get involved in gambling, or it could also be said that gambling is one of the choices among other choices but @gunhell16 did not mention that above,
but yes I also agree with your opinion that if we associate gambling with finances, usually people who have a less good financial situation are more involved in gambling, the reason is quite simple, namely they try to take advantage of opportunities and use gambling as an intermediary to overcome their financial problems.

And on the other hand, another reason is that if we talk about rich people, usually they are the type of people who know how to use their money very well, simply put, they usually do not want to allocate some of their money to things that have no certainty of being profitable, such as gambling for example.

I believe that during holiday and especially such long and great holidays as Christmas or New Year, people are less active with gambling. Nevertheless there are more free time, people have actually less time to spend on themselves, as they have to prepare a lot for celebration. There are always moments when people forgot something or try to do something on last minute, to make celebration as perfect as possible, and  due to that, they often dont have time for gambling.

During the year-end holidays, many people are very busy and have a lot to prepare, but there are also many people who do not have the opportunity to enjoy those things. Because not everyone has the opportunity to return home and reunite with their loved ones after a year of hard work, many people will have to celebrate the holiday alone and they often gamble to kill time. Or as summonerrk mentioned: many people need money during the holidays and it is no surprise that many people will think of gambling for a chance to make some quick money.

Even gambling activities will be more active as most people are in the mood to spend money during the holidays and gambling will be the choice of most people as everyone wants to try their luck at the beginning of the new year.

Gambling to win money for Christmas or NY presents will be the last thing I would do. We have 365 days in a year to gamble, and some gamble especially on holidays that comes once a year. I would not spend time on that frankly speaking. I would not do things I do on a regular basis or default things on holiday, instead I would do something special during holidays. But, even if I gamble, that wont be long or serious gambling session. Those people who are far from family or alone, I think they still have a holiday spirit left, and would also do something special during holidays.

I also think that many people just believe in miracles and luck at such moments, but the fact is that there are still many players and everyone hopes to win, and the winnings are limited, so there will still be those who lose, the main thing is that this does not negatively affect the holiday mood for this player. If you want to gamble, do it but never compromise the time and moment that you have for your family. You don't need to sacrifice any of it if you're flexible and can do both of it. Having vacation while you're also gambling, I've been there and done that.

 I see a point in your second paragraph cause imagine betting on your favourites and they end up losing and if the lose is so embarassing it could trigger some emotions and ruin the joy and fun of the season for that person, so instead of betting on that particular day (Christmas) I'll rather have fun and entertain myself with the presence of my extended family, trust me, it's always fun when we're all eating and making merry together.

First of course you also understand that gambling provides challenging adrenaline and even makes someone carried away by the atmosphere with increased emotions and if the holiday, let say going out of town by visiting tourist attractions and at the same time you gamble until you get series of consecutive defeats, wouldn't that worsen the atmosphere and make you unable to really relax while enjoying the holiday.
For me, going on vacation is time to rest the mind and mood, release all the burdens and various problems that exist, so don't mess it up with silliness, if you want to enjoy vacation by gambling the right time is at home with the peace that we can get.

one of the delights of life is being able to get on a vacation and have a break we can work hard for most of our year but a well deserved rest and vacation is what we all need and gambling will be one of the activities that should be on top of the entertaining things you'd want to do in a vacation

Kids are never a problem when someone wants to gamble on holidays. They are on a holiday to and do things they usually dont do on regular days. Book a hotel, got to gamble in the evening, the kids can stay in the room and enjoy their gadgets without parents bothering them with "you will spoil your eyes", "you are watching dumb context", "have you dont your homework".

Never in my entire life my own kid, friends kids, godson and goddaughter cause any problems, it was never a burden to spend time with them. Just make them busy, find or figure out something that will be interesting for them, and you can do whatever you want on your own.

Kids are never a problem when someone wants to gamble on holidays. They are on a holiday to and do things they usually dont do on regular days. I do that. As long as they love what they are playing on their phones they will behave. But sometimes it does worry me when they are in front of that phone for almost the whole day. They become lazy brats and it gets on my nerves sometimes.
During the holidays though it is different, I cannot gamble because we always want to go out and when I am out, I don't use my phone and just spend time with them. I think that's what the OP is trying to point out. We will always have our time to play especially at night when the kids are too damn tired to get up. Everybody is not actually the same, what I mean is that there are some young gamblers that doesn't even have any responsibility to take care of, they don't have wife, children or lots of siblings to foot their bills. I am the one who does not play during long holidays because I simply do not have enough time. In December I only watched the boxing match Usyk vs. Fury and that's it. In the Christmas and New Year's bustle there is simply not enough time because you need to devote time to loved ones and see everyone and prepare gifts for many, and this is finances. But after the holidays I can already relax and play when I have time.
