Sure there is no limit to how bitcoin can go both up or down trend and that is why bitcoin is referred to as a volatile asset and bitcoin Should be traded with adequate Risk management.
True. There is no certain number for the Bitcoin to drop or to increase. If there is big trigger, it can move more massive (significant). Sure, that's why we call Bitcoin price is volatile and can be unpredictable. People who invest in Bitcoin must consider this matter, so they can apply a certain strategy to avoid possible losses by setting stop loss or another way.

$50,000 bitcoin price is very possible as we are not even too far away from that benchmark and what we should know is that, see bitcoin dipping to such price will present both loses and profits opportunities for inventors and also traders who have prepared ahead or caught in between the market volatilities.
Agree, it is still possible to drop to $50k since it isn't quite far from the current price. As far as I know, the lowest price in this year was around $57k. If we have another big trigger, it can be lower than the price. People who still expect for more entry, they must prepare some money. I also still keep some of my funds for the possible lower price of Bitcoin in the next few weeks/months.

For bitcoin to crash from $69,000 to $16,000 in the last bear market proves that anything is very much possible to happen, and now that the price of bitcoin has been hovering around $60,000 plus for a long time even makes it easier for bitcoin to crash below $50,000. If the market doesn't recover little bit and it continues like this we might see $50,000 price.
Sure there is no limit to how bitcoin can go both up or down trend and that is why bitcoin is referred to as a volatile asset and bitcoin Should be traded with adequate Risk management.

The price of Bitcoin has been corrected a lot, so it is best to take risks and invest at this time, those who invest during this time will be the best investors. Because opportunities do not always arise, both those who are waiting for opportunities to arise and those who are new investors can take risks and invest. However, the price of Bitcoin is now at $ 64,000, so it is unlikely to fall below it, but the price of Bitcoin has the highest probability of increasing.

$50,000 bitcoin price is very possible as we are not even too far away from that benchmark and what we should know is that, see bitcoin dipping to such price will present both loses and profits opportunities for inventors and also traders who have prepared ahead or caught in between the market volatilities.

The current position is the most likely for Bitcoin price to rise, because Bitcoin has been in the $60K to $70K range for a long time, so it is likely to touch $70K at any time. Bitcoin price has come so far by dumping from high speed, so this is the best place to invest. Those who are new investors can definitely take enough opportunities to invest here, there is no guarantee that there will be opportunities to invest in Bitcoin later.

Bitcoin is already down around 50% from the top, so I agree this is a pretty good time to start buying. However, it would be a bit too confident to assume that Bitcoin is unlikely to drop to $50k.

Just because it has stayed above $60k for a long time does not mean it cannot go lower. There's no guarantee of that.

As long as the bear market isn't over, anything can happen. Don't rule out that possibility just because we don't want it to happen.

Given the current events and the number of investors in BTC, I don't think it can fall back to $50k; it's unlikely. In fact, large institutions might take advantage of the situation to buy BTC cheaper, but the only way that could happen, as I see it, is if very devastating events occur in the world, causing fear among large investors. I know that would cause the price to drop significantly, but based on price action alone, I don't see it as possible.

To think of anything more devastating than we have now, the Russia Ukraine war, Iran and the US, Israel Palestine and a couple of nations that have had some tension brewing, it would be entertaining the possibility of a WWlll which is very unlikely, with all the treaties that are in place. I don’t think any nation would want to be the ones that pushes us into that situation.

Independently of these events, Bitcoin always has the potential to dump at any time and there isn’t nothing any corporation or institution can do about it. With the price of Bitcoin currently around $63k and it has continued to struggle and consolidate around these price range, $50k is possible, unlikely but very possible. All it needs is some FUD and then you would see weak hands having to panic sell to make the price.

This thread was created January 2025 which is more than a year and 5 months now, and since then till now the op have seen how the market moved we have touched new all time high and dropped down to $58k and now we are currently around $64k anything is possible even going as low as $40k before the end of the bear market is also possible we are all down and prepared for what ever that will come next.

I wondered if Bitcoin will ever again crash below 50.000$. What do you think? I think it is likely that we will see it go down to 70K but not below that point. 2025 will be the most important year, because governments around the world get involved.

I think it will be considered cheap in the future to buy Bitcoin below 100.000$. Any opinions on that?

Bitcoin crashing below $50k would require strong fundamental conditions to set into the market which should also be strong enough to influence investors and traders sentiment. But on the future, it's being a common reality that as years goes that how the price of bitcoin that appeared to be very high yesterday becomes a cheap price for the current adopters. As long as the bitcoin cycle remains constant the price of bitcoin would continue to make ATHs that would with time make previous seaming high price become cheaper in future.

I also think it's possible, but very unlikely. Many institutions have large amounts of money invested in BTC, and obviously they don't want their investment to plummet. This is a very strong reason why it can't go down.

What worries me is that Saylor might surprise the BTC market again by selling. We've already seen that he has a big impact, not enough to take it down to $50k, but if he decides to sell 50% of his BTC, I think it could drop even more, don't you think? I just hope he doesn't do something like that; it's better not to try those things.

Any situation in the price of Bitcoin can change at any time, there is no fixed reference to it. The bear market is not over yet. So there is a possibility of breaking the $50k level, since if we say according to the price of Bitcoin, then we have definitely lost. So we don't worry about losing money later, no matter how much the price of Bitcoin is dumping,
we will take the opportunity to buy Bitcoin. That is why we will take the opportunity to buy Bitcoin because buying Bitcoin at low prices is quite reasonable, the average will be formed with the high price, so the risk will be reduced a lot. So even if the price of Bitcoin is dumping more, we will not panic, we have learned to handle the situation.

and since then till now the op have seen how the market moved we have touched new all time high and dropped down to $58k and now we are currently around $64k anything is possible even going as low as $40k before the end of the bear market is also possible we are all down and prepared for what ever that will come next.

The price of Bitcoin has been dumped more in the past, so we will never panic when we see this. However, those who are new investors should definitely not panic and buy Bitcoin. Because the longer you hold Bitcoin, the less risk there will be and the more opportunities there will be to get benefits, so holding Bitcoin for a long time is the best plan.

I don't know why some investors think that Bitcoin going to the bottom should be a problem, if that's the case, wasn't there a period when Bitcoin was at $20k or even less, has that stopped the price from climbing, there have been different prices over these years and Bitcoin has always been there, people just decide to worry for nothing, maybe because when the price drops it affects their hodling and they think they are not supposed to take actions in regards to adding more Bitcoin stash to their hodling, why can't investors see the positive side of price dump and capitalizing on them than Staying idle without no action, Bitcoin investment requires patience which every long-term investor must exercise to be rewarded.

Actually I never pay attention to this thread but however I am not sure that ever since the creation of this thread that Bitcoin has fell below $50k. I know that Bitcoin it self has fall below $70k but have not fall below $50k till now. But anything is possible in this space. Emagine hitting an amazing price of $126k as ATH and later Falling below $70k isn't that funny? This is to say that we may even fall below this ballpark since nothing is guaranteed. We may even see $40k in the future according to how the economic hardship has increased. But for now there are no signs.

We shouldn't be worried. Saylor isn't a stupid man. He won't suddenly sell big number of Bitcoin with no reason. Even he may sell again, I believe it won't be very massive number of Bitcoin. Who knows that it is his strategy to accumulate Bitcoin at cheaper price? Well, I'm sure Saylor won't do anything that can lead bad impacts to his assets. As a big holder of Bitcoin, he must always expect for bright future of Bitcoin.

I don't know why some investors think that Bitcoin going to the bottom should be a problem, if that's the case, wasn't there a period when Bitcoin was at $20k or even less, has that stopped the price from climbing, there have been different prices over these years and Bitcoin has always been there ~
Investors just feel worried that Bitcoin will be difficult to create a new ATH if Bitcoin price drops too significant. Sure, Bitcoin price was even below $20k but it could raise again above $20k, even it reached $126k in 2025. However, I agree that it shouldn't be a problem if Bitcoin drops again as long as it isn't too significant. If it drops to a lower price, we can accumulate at cheaper price, right?  Wink

I know that would cause the price to drop significantly, but based on price action alone, I don't see it as possible.
Let us watch and see op, I have that confidence that the price of bitcoin will definitely going to return back to $50k before the end of this year 2026 because there are some signs that is happening now that will make the price decrease from $60k to $50k , which is the price majority of investors are waiting for before they can approve another capital to purchase bitcoin, there are some social media news that is showing some institutions that are still purchasing huge amount of bitcoin because they believe in bitcoin than any other coins in the market, if you look at this season bitcoin movement you will know that there is hope for investors to enjoy huge income when bullish season appear again.

There are always a certain percentage of investors who are waiting for a lower price to enter regardless of what the current price is. There is not solid way of knowing what percentage though, so I wouldn't say "majority" like you did.
One of the main characteristics of these people is that they won't buy even if price reaches their target because they'll update it to a lower level. For example in this case if price drops to $50k, they'll refuse to buy and say they'll buy at $45k and if it reached $45k they'll say they'll buy at $40k and so on.
In the end, they are the panic buyers who are going to buy bitcoin when price reaches $100k.

For the time being the trend is a sideways trend which resembles the accumulation phase a lot. And so far price has been going up and down between $60k and $65k for the most part and so far there has been no indication of this trend changing.

Lots of investor have that kind of attitude, usually they think about waiting for another one more dip. Then end up nothing on their site. Usually this kind of mindset they have will end up they would chase FOMO's once Bitcoin starts to go up again.

At the moment Bitcoin moves at $60k to $65k and I really think that this is already good figures to accumulate. At this range this is where usually those well disciplined investors starts to build their positions, while those people which not sure about their next action will continue to think about waiting for any possible dumps again.

With this we could see or figure out that those investors which is consistent with their accumulations always beat those people waiting for perfect dips to enter.
