I ordered a Fury 1.3MH/s scrypt miner that I will point at the cryptobec pool as soon as it arrives in a couple days. Snowcrawl, you need to use x11 algorithm to mine QBC. ASIC scrypt miners will not works on this algorithm. It's one of the strenghness of Quebecoin. Otherwise, you can use your graphic card or CPU to mine QBC. pool.cryptobec will be available in French in few days.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Unfortunately I have never been able to figure out how to do either CPU or GPU mining. I just tried minerd and followed the instructions on the pool page and nothing seems to be happening.

I will update my getting start page as soon as possible. Here is a description that I just made for you on How to mine X11 with CPU : - Download : https://mega.co.nz/#F!V5I1mawQ!bCcaIhRkODjUVEBWsGmu_w (if you have an i7, it's better to download cpuminer 1.3 which provides more features for mining with i7) - After : just launch the binary with this command line : minerd-NAME -a X11 -o stratum+tcp://POOL-ADDRESS:PORT -u Weblogin.Worker -p WorkerPass For GPU: - Download cgminer https://github.com/veox/sgminer/releases- Run it with this command line : sgminer -k x11mod -o stratum+tcp://POOL-ADDRESS:PORT -u Weblogin.Worker -p passwd -I 13 Depending of your graphic card, you need to change the value of parameter -I

I could adjust my current CPU Solo and GPU Solo mining guide to include pool-mining, with your pool. They are still drafts, nobody experienced or reviewed them.

My information is going to read something like:
minerd -a -t 6 -s 4 -o stratum+tcp://192.99.43.175:3033 -u addobbi.addobbi -p password
I downloaded the CPU miner from your link. It appears as though I have an i7, since I have an Asus M11AD desktop.

You forgot x11 : minerd -a x11 -t 6 -s 4 -o stratum+tcp://192.99.43.175:3033 -u addobbi.addobbi -p password I removed you the fees

I am not sure what to do next. Do I make a batch file like RunMe.txt with that line in it. When I do so, nothing happens when I double click on it.

yes you can. Is it working with this command line (I don't see you mining on the pool) ? What you can do if it's currently don't working : start ==> execute ==> cmd -drag and drop miner into the openned window (this will set the good path) -just copy paste the configuration line : -a x11 -t 6 -s 4 -o stratum+tcp://192.99.43.175:3033 -u addobbi.addobbi -p password Here is a file which show you the possible hashrate with your hardware (seconds sheet refers CPU mining) : https://docs.zoho.com/sheet/published.do?rid=12cbm2fe8ce55abb2476daa0f8c576b442d40&mode=html

I tried this from command prompt, the drag and drop. It does get me to the right pathway, but when I paste that line and hit enter, the command is not recognized. Also, which version am I am supposed to choose, since there are about 4 different ones in that folder?

By the way, there's 2 diffrent CPU miner, one of which support AES/AVX instructions(newer CPUs). I beleive your CPU does support AES/AVX miner. a. Si votre CPU supporte AVX / AES Telechargez http://darkcoin.io/downloads/darkcoin-minerd-1.2c.zipb. Si votre CPU ne supporte pas AVX / AES Telechargez http://darkcoin.io/downloads/xcoin-miner.zipExtract it to your desktop, browse inside the folder, find the miner exe, shift+right click and select "copy as path"(copier le chemin d'accès), paste it and remove the quotes. Should look like this without the quotes: C:\Users\MY_PC_USER\Desktop\minerd1.2\xcoin-miner\miner.exe -a x11 -t 6 -s 4 -o stratum+tcp://192.99.43.175:3033 -u addobbi.addobbi -p password
Then "Save As", and save it as a .bat. Or simply drop the command above in a CMD prompt. Note that it's important to not leave extra spaces, carriage return or anything but the parameter in your command line. I don't know what the -t 6 and -s 4 does? I did not need it when I CPU mined.

I also have no idea what it is for either, I simply copied it from some instructional example in one of the "how to mine" pages. Here is the pathway so far: C:\2GOOD\darkcoin\darkcoin-minerd-1.2c\minerd.exe -a x11 -o stratum+tcp://192.99.43.175:3033 -u addobbi.addobbi -p password

I did manage to get it working on a different computer: It seems that you have only a dual core CPU. What is you CPU version ? Otherwise, you can show us the ouput of this command : echo %PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE% %PROCESSOR_IDENTIFIER% %PROCESSOR_LEVEL% %PROCESSOR_REVISION%

I was running this on an old laptop. The newer computer that I had trouble with has the following CPU information when I get the output from that command:
AMD64 Intel64 Family 6 Model 60 Stepping 3, GenuineIntel 6 3c03

I understand your problem, the x11 should be in uppercase : C:\2GOOD\darkcoin\darkcoin-minerd-1.2c\minerd.exe -a X11 -o stratum+tcp://192.99.43.175:3033 -u addobbi.addobbi -p password
