damn, someone sold a lot , hurt the price.

Yeah, not crazy where the price is going currently. I didn't think it'd go below IPO levels already. I think we need some dev announcements or something, to get miners to hold a bit longer.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Things change fast like the price. Why did they sell coins at this price even below IPO?

Guessing it's from miners with coins piling up. I don't think anyone who bought into the IPO would sell below IPO prices, as that would be silly at this point... or at least I hope it's not from an IPO person.

I have no idea what process poloniex uses. I think many of us has mentioned listing quebecoin in the chatbox and assume the dev has contacted them. Besides that, I don't think there is anything left to try.

Alternative exchanges that could be considered:

Coined Up
Atomic Exchange
Austin Global Exchange
CCEX

I'm not that crazy about any of them, but I guess Coined up may be the best of the bunch?

Yeah, we need somewhere less wild to coordinate the effort and prioritize. But hang in there, there's really no stress to be had. Nobody should be losing their hair over the price/volume right now. QBC is set and operating, now we can just make it better slowly, but surely.

I'm an ear-scarred veteran of the Community Coin Mintpal drive. Based on that, here's what's likely to happen:

  • A continually pushed Mintpal vote drive is a great way to generate enthusiasm and participation!
  • But...it doesn't do much for the price, and it leads to a letdown afterwards. Plus, some people see a new Mintpal listing as an opportunity to dump. So, the QBC price might actually go down if the vote drive succeeds.

Just so you know what to expect going forward...

I don't know if it's just me, but does anyone else find it odd that the dev isn't posting here as much as he did pre-release?

I don't expect a dev to post here constantly, but it just seems weird when one is around all the time, then he becomes somewhat scarce. Especially after an IPO is over. Maybe he is just working on stuff or is busy, but a bit of an update may shore the price up some.

Have you been mining Quebecoin at a pool charging fees?
Are you mining at a pool that is down half the time, and sluggish even when up?
Does the pool you mine at seem lacking in security, not even having the basic https offering on their website?
Do you sometimes feel like the pool where you are mining does not really care about Quebecoin, and is just trying to make a quick buck and devaluating your own precious coins in the process?

It might be time for a change!

At the Quebecoin NicEMining pool, you ALWAYS mine at 0% fee. You always have a stable and responsive web site and server. Your security is always a priority. And the pool is run by people from Quebec, who care about Quebecoin and are working with you to make it a success!

Yup... I noticed that as well. Maybe he took a vow never to show up here without some good news Tongue

I just came across a cool website: http://www.dogecache.com/

"Dogecache is an innovative app inspired by the principles of geocaching: an outdoor recreational activity where participants use GPS and other navigational techniques to find containers containing small prizes left by other adventurers. There is only one caveat: you must leave something in order to take something. Dogecache puts an exciting spin on this recreational activity by embracing dogecoin. Rather than hunt for physical caches, the user hunts for virtual dogecaches that other explorers have left behind. The app is entirely location dependent, as you find dogecoins near you by dropping some in your current location. That is, the more dogecoins you drop, the larger your search radius is and the more likely you are to find other deposits. The tradeoff lies in the fact that you can only pick up other users’ dogecoins, and dogecoins you drop can only be picked up by other people. This helps encourage people to share their wealth."

This system can be interesting to promote QBC from people to people, and can be an excellent way for merchant to their promote product and service.

For example, a merchant can leave several small cache in front of their store for a buyer to claim it and exchange it in store (as some a form of rebate).

Nice idea for the wish list. Imagine a Québecoin geocaching promotion that leaves Québecoins in nooks and crannies all over Québec! I'm sure that Québec's Ministry of Tourism would be interested. Might even get Québecoin a linkie at Bonjour Québec.

Unfortunately, as the tem "wish list" indicates, I don't have the programming skills to make it happen. That's what I get for plunging in with BTC but no technical background to speak of. Tongue

There also this one: http://www.coinding.com/
