I'm wondering if AI will pose a threat to Bitcoin in the future? I mean, if AI is able to code on its own, maybe it will make a coin superior to Bitcoin? Or maybe, Bitcoin can make use of AI for its own benefit.

The capabilities of AI are certainly impressive. There are thousands of different possible outcomes, and not all of them are favorable for the crypto market. One can only hope that AI won't be able to move coins into the red zones at its will, as there’s already so much randomness in cryptocurrency, even though there are real, live factors that can affect the market without the so-called randomness, such as Elon Musk with his coin or the recent actions of Trump. Maybe some are waiting for AI to invade the crypto world, but I want this field to remain for people only, and what happens in the future, no one knows. We'll live and see.

AI can code. Many softwares most likely already allow people to make blockchains and all things required to make a cryptocurrency of their own. But AI doesn’t dictate which one would be valuable to the public. We do. People might not be as trusting and open to switching from bitcoin to whatever AI can come up with despite features that could potentially be better than bitcoin’s.

Pose a threat to Bitcoin in which manner? I mean, what kind of threat are you referring to? Because if it's just about the coding aspects, by developing a new project that can be superior to Bitcoin, nothing like that will happen.

It took many years for Bitcoin to grow to the length in which it is right now, people keep buying Bitcoin every year and the growth is continuous.

There's no AI that will just code a coin today and you expect people to starting buying the coin, then the coin starts to grow rapidly. It will not happen like that, but if peradventure this your assumption come to light, the coin will not be superior to Bitcoin because before it will want to get to the value at which Bitcoin have attained now, Bitcoin will be far higher than what it is as of today.

Take for example Ethereum, why has it not even cross $10k? Despite all the bull Run of Bitcoin?

Scalabilty? Many exists
Security? It has to convince the current Bitcoin community.

Even if a technology better than Bitcoin is invented. Bitcoin will still reign supreme because of it's history as well as been the face of the market.
The only way another can replace Bitcoin is if Bitcoin fails
And even if Bitcoin does fail and get compromised
Who would trust any cryptocurrency again?

In summary, Bitcoin success has gone past its current Technology.
It has become more of a concept of Decentralization and been the First.

AI is developed and built by humans. A centralised company controls each of those AIs that are trending. Some might redevelop themselves and advance in whatever way they can, but that does not mean there won't be a way for it to be controlled, so even if they can develop and create a blockchain, which might appear superior based on its features, it will be hard for a centralised tool to create something that it itself won't have control over. Bitcoin censorship resistance alone is enough to defeat the development.

I don't think there is any threat to Bitcoin.

The foundations are pretty clear. Maybe some shitcoin is goin under, I don't know, but Bitcoin is clearly better than any random AI.

At then end of the day AI is just a multiplier of knowledge. If a random person uses AI, they are going to get a pretty average answer.

In a way, Bitcoin is the native payment of the Internet, so it makes sense that things that are native to the Internet get paid in Bitcoin

That is very interesting question. While AI is getting better very fast I do not think it will be big problem for Bitcoin. Bitcoin is valuable because it is independent safe and open and AI can actually make it better. For example AI can help make Bitcoin mining process more efficient or make wallets more secure or even predict what will happen in market. However it is unlikely that AI will create better cryptocurrency not like Bitcoin but little better than others because value of cryptocurrency comes from its community and how widely it is used and how useful it is in real world. AI might create new cryptocurrencies but it is not clear if they will be better than Bitcoin existing system.

Some says AI is taking the world, well at some point yes but my perspective on this one is different, we can build much more because AI making our lives more easier, we are still the one who’s dominant. If some parts remove work force, the it opens another opportunity to others. This kind of cycle already exists in the past years, people invent something that doesn’t require some jobs but open to some cool opportunities. I hope it is not something that becomes possible for AI to be determine Seed phrase of people's wallets, because then security will be compromised. There are many developers who are focusing on the negative things that artificial intelligence can help them achieve instead of focusing on promoting the good and better use of artificial intelligence. If I could think about it, it is also possible that a criminal somewhere is already thinking about it and working towards developing an artificial intelligence that can help them achieve this.

Even if it code superior to Bitcoin, the only way for it to overcome Bitcoin is to have consensus or support of the majority. But even which such good alts coins that we have, still there's no one to beat Bitcoin even if others call it old and traditional and can't evolved.

So just because of AI becoming very popular right now will it mean that it will challenge Bitcoin. I think investors are smarter than that. And Bitcoin becoming the first crypto that really pave the way for others, that's already a very hard thing to topple and I do not see any altcoins that can do it today or in the near future.

I probably have 2-300 posts here trying to explain to people that AI DOES NOT EXIST.  Not hate OP, I'm not trying to be a dick, I am just baffled at the lack of understanding and education around "AI". So like today we call UFOs UAPs , well AI is advanced programming, real AI, is AGI, Artificial General Intelligence.  AGI is what will turn the world upside down.  Could be good, could be bad, probably a mix of both.  My guess is we wont see AGI in our lifetimes.

i am quite interested in what ai agents have to offer... from what i see it will be a great thing where ai agents will work on things like trading or deeper analysis of the bitcoin market... or more than that, it can be used to analyze wallet activity, major news, portfolio management, and many other things. this will be a technology that might help many bitcoin holders to monitor and manage their investments.

We  really can't tell if bitcoin will keep leading the crypto space forever because there're possibilities that some other coins to come in existence and take over but for now, we acts at see in believing which in the present bitcoin would be the lead and based on it potential performances it'd keep leading the crypto industry in the future.

I don't think AI will create a coin superior to Bitcoin. However, various tasks can be performed with AI. For example it can develop a more successful bot for trading. When trading, bots usually trigger each other, that leading to sharper ups and downs. Since the amount of circulating coins used for trading is decreasing daily, this could pose a minor threat. We may see more volatile price movements. Other than that, I don't think AI will pose a serious threat to Bitcoin.

Bitcoin's superiority doesn't come from its code or features. Coins with this or that better done than Bitcoin were made already, and they didn't pose any real threat to Bitcoin.
Bitcoin's superiority come from its age (which translates in the existence and the size of the ecosystem around Bitcoin) and from the mining power that keeps the money flowing around Bitcoin ecosystem.

As I've read somewhere: Bitcoin is not the first electronic coin that was invented. It's the first that succeeded.


On the other hand, getting AI to improve Bitcoin is entirely possible, especially as the improvement can be supervised and guided by humans.
