That's not true. Whether we like it or not, there are countries that are really poor, that's why the poverty rate is high. People there aren't lazy; they're working hard to survive. They just lack opportunities to improve their lives, often because of a lack of education caused by poor government programs. That's why people always talk about electing leaders they trust to change things by boosting the economy. Look at Africa and other countries with high poverty rates, you can't call them lazy when even women are working hard just to get by.

Many "fortunate people" always forget if they live in less crime countries, raised by parent and family, have a place to live, going to school without need to think to make money, have someone we can share story, don't need to afford parents and brothers/sisters needs etc. When they see there's someone who unfortunate than them, the fortunate people will blame them lazy. Such people always blame the effort, instead of thinking about their privilege.

"Laziness is the culprit of poverty, poor people are banned lazy?"
Are you talking about the abject poverty that has children dying of starvation every day or the working poor who can't afford health care or safe places to live? The world has enough physical resources to feed, educate and clothe every human being on this planet.
The culprit of poverty is that anyone still believes it is due to laziness.

The amount of income determines how we manage our finances if the results obtained from a job that is daily or monthly in nature are able to cover all normal needs I think literacy about learning finance will be easy to apply. The current condition is that the money obtained is considered still not enough to cover some fixed expenses so that it is difficult to outsmart even though savings efforts are made.

Agree or not getting rich and being able to get out of poverty also requires luck, where you fight for something at the right time. Laziness may sound negative, but are there people living in a circle of poverty and laziness who are lucky and then become rich? Of course there are, that's why it's not just about hard work. Because if hard work is the benchmark for getting rich, then why can't those who work from morning to night ever achieve wealth?
btw Op, this thread should be on the economy board

It depends on the situation. If you chill on the sofa all the time not doing anything you mentioned - then yeah, it's a lazy behaviour. If a person doesn't have time and funds to push through and learn more to live differently and earn differently - then it's not laziness, it's the hardship that has to be endured by anybody willing to try. And even then - nobody knows how it will end.

Learning can change your life if you learn a right way, and practice rightly too. There are many challenging factors a long your way from learning to practice and till success. People failed not only because they don't learn, but sometimes they did not practice well. It's very shocked and painful that in the market, most of people lose money, and it's like less than 20% people can get profit and be winners in the same market. I agree that being lazy and don't learn is bad and need to change, but learning itself is not enough. There are people succeed and others fail, because they have different personal traits that decide their success or failures.

If everybody, or 60% of people on the market would profit - it wouldn't be called the market But I agree - some need to work harder than others due to factors that cannot be avoided, but everyone can try and everyone can learn, step by step.

Dude, get out of your own bubble. Not everyone is as fortunate as you are, this is an extremely bold statement to make. Whether we like it or not, some people are lucky to be born on a better background, wealthy parents, own a family business that get's passed on are only a few basic examples. Do you really think someone in a third world country, or simply, born by financially struggling parents have the same opportunities as someone who's well-off? Certainly not. Although we are responsible for our own choices, sometimes it's not that simple. On top of that, we shouldn't judge what is unknown to us.
Yes, I've seen examples to what you've mentioned, I also have a friend who works two jobs, earns more than a decent amount of money for Greek standards, but never has money, because they keep blowing it away every single day. He lacks the intelligence and the skills to manage his own money and isn't bothered by the fact that he never has any money aside. This rule though doesn't apply to everyone, for the reasons I mentioned earlier. Think again and try to answer yourself.

It depends on where you're looking at laziness from, because it's not everybody that is poor that can be said to be lazy. If a person has an opportunity to become better and wealthy but don't utilize it because they don't want to disturb themselves, that is laziness. When a person is willing to improve himself, research, work, learn skills but their are no opportunities to turn their knowledge and talent into wealth, the person cannot be called lazy.
Why do you think there is brain drain in most underdeveloped countries where they have smart professionals? It is because if they remain in their countries they will remain poor, not because they are lazy but there is no opportunities and enabling environment for them to prosper. If they migrate to developed countries their talents will turn to wealth. Even if you're not lazy you still need opportunities and an enabling environment to prosper in life, that is why it's good to change environment if you're not getting what you want in a place. Where there are opportunities and work to make money and people who are qualified are idling away, that is laziness.

Bullshit. You can be as lazy as you want and earn good money and have a job as long as you are not flaky. Lazy people work with targeted efficiency to solve their problems. Flaky people do not want to work at all. There is no virtue in extreme work ethic just as there is no virtue in extreme laziness. They are just phases of being human. It says absolutely nothing about the financial status of a person.

You are having the wrong perception when it comes to poverty. Yeah, there might be some people that are poor due to laziness, but most of them are unemployed and are not putting any effort into escaping poverty but are always depending on other people's wealth or even the government. Which, inside 100% of the poor people, is just 20% that are like that, so you are not going to blame the rest of the poor people because they are not lazy, but that is just their destiny to be poor.
Haven’t you seen people that are very rich but ended up poor due to the downfall of their businesses?so is that their fault or destiny? Mind you, anyone can’t be rich in this world; there will have to be some poor people because without poor people, the availability of workers will be less, employers rates will also be in higher demand, but they will not have anyone ready to work because everyone is already rich, which will affect the economy of this world. So pressuring the poor people is very wrong because it will make them look insecure or feel like it is their fault that they are poor.

It's really sad to hear people generalize and conclude without considering others. The main problem people in developing nations are suffering is the ability to survive. Some countries are going through hyperinflation which has made the price of good to increase astronomically. On such country, many people are not considering investment advice, if they can provide their basic needs they are okay. However, OP:s advice is valid. Lack of investment or financial awareness is the reason why people become poor even when they had enough to be financially stable.

Maybe lacking in strong push, strength or motivation to do the right things or get things that are ones responsibility done. Ofcourse, you could easily know a lazy person by how well-done or orderly his responsibilities were handled, or whether he fixed them atall. If he has no good excuse for not fixing things properly or atall it's most likely laziness.
I think Iazy people still get well paid in inefficient or bad society. While the opposite characters could be paid little to nothing despite how well they do their works. If this was not so, a society wouldn't be too disfunctional, unhealthy and inefficient

After spending considerable time in the 'developing world', and trying to spend money, I will say with some sadness that yes, a LOT of people are quite lazy. Worse still, they are quite stupid when it comes to business decisions. Say, for instance, that you make furniture (or claim to.) A good business decision would be to show up at the time you say you will to bid on a job. That almost never happens, and usually they 1) don't show up on time, 2) don't show up at all, and 3) don't bother to inform the potential client that the don't intend to show up. It should not take a MBA to figure out that this isn't a good way to make money.
In one English-speaking SE Asian country I was fairly impressed with how much the construction workers got done when I go there. They would work inefficiently and without a lot of common sense, but they worked pretty hard and got the job done. Sometimes at impressive speed. The work quality was sometimes OK, but more commonly it was pretty shitty so you had to watch them like a hawk for critical things. That was before the scamdemic. After the scamdemic the workers maintained their propensity to do shitty work if they could get away with it, but also became extremely slow and unreliable.
What I did in said SE Asian country was to find (after much looking) someone with experience working overseas who was good, and paid him twice the normal rate to work for me. To keep him working for me I just set him to work on any project I could think of.
Now I've moved back to the 'new world' and things are even more discouraging than in SE Asia. The proximity to higher income countries where there is more money to be made is probably a factor as most people who are worth a shit would find work outside the country.
I will say that women in the SE Asian country at least are vastly more hard working and reliable. They only do domestic work though.

laziness is the culprit of poverty, poor people are banned lazy? This is a two way thing, it can be judged from both sides i e AGREE and DISAGREE
in the aspect of agreeing, Lazy people are bound to be poor, their are causes to that 1. People not coming out of their comfort zone hoping manna to fall. 2.Many people are afraid to face the hardship of the world having the feeling that even if they go out there to hustle they won't or can't make because of maybe their past experience in life. 3. most people are born with silver's spoon not knowing how to hustle and they have being pampered if they mistakenly miss out on their fortune they might become poor because they don't have the might to struggle and they were not built for the hardship of the society. 4. This also goes with the mentality of being rich. The difference common difference between a poor man and a rich man is their mentality. A rich man always takes care of his future while a poor man always want the "now".
In the aspect of disagreeing, In our society today there are cases of people not being lazy but are still poor. 1.They struggle to meet up to the standard of the society even if they work very hard they work just to eat on a daily basis not to invest for the future. 2. Their are some people that had being a victim of scams, where they have been scammed through investment, getting profits etc. Some of them can be scammed of their life savings for future investment, that alone can make someone be poor not necessarily you being lazy. 3. Inflation has being the order of the day. Things go high and your earnings can no longer sustain it might feed you but no enough for investment. In my opinion, I disagree to it I'll say laziness is not the culprit of poverty we do know of many people that are lazy but the world favors them in the sense that they are not poor like they were born with a silver's spoon while some work all day but could not reach to the height they want.

It isn't just laziness we should also consider their financial management, no matter how hard they work if they aren't managing their funds properly then they are just working paycheck to paycheck. There are some people who are earning more than minimum wage, but still couldn't get out of poverty, the reason is how they spend their salary. They could invest and slowly make a better life, or just be contented on how they live and party or spend their excess money to their addiction, which could also bring them to debt that would make their life harder.

There are actually other reasons why people are poor but it's a fact that laziness is the main reason behind poverty. Some people are poor and still doing nothing to improve their life, some make up excuses forgetting that it won't take them anywhere. Complains can't get you the money you need, you have to get up and work. Getting the work done can be very exhausting but it's better to be uncomfortable now so you can be comfortable in the future. If you just sit down and blame the government for your inadequacies then you are going to remain in a single spot for a long time.
