People just don't realize that there's more risk to get from trading Bitcoin for short term since we know how fast the price changes from time to time and they might get caught by volatility if they are impatient individual which got pissed off if there expectation didn't meet while they are on trading session. No doubts I agree to this that trading causes more damage than investing and I'll say this with few experience of mine, I undergo some trading courses back then and I would say I learnt alot but then learning and practices ain't same thing,and it involves risks so when I started my trading journey I started with using small amounts actually seeing how things will unfold and along the line I watch my money grow overtime and I was happy, sometimes I would stay awake all night going through the markets and everything and wake up the next morning finding a huge loss in my trades. Yes. But there is one more that you did not mention. Leaving the trading for days or weeks. Some people can even think it is investing but it is not an investment but trading. It is called swing trading.

Yes OP simply just explained both but trading in its own form is also branched into types again with it been grouped as short term trading or long term trading (which is not also investment). Short term trading is the trades that are opened and closed in minutes and few hours and this type of trading is usually called the scalping trading which is basically the most risky trading of all, aside this there is also the popular day trading under short term trading which is which is basically within the 24 hours of the day. Then there is the long term trading called the swing trading which can be trade position which is hold off for like days, weeks and even months, it is the regarded as the less risky type of trading amongst the rest.

Even before I joined this forum, I used to use both trading and investing interchangeably. I thought whether you hodl or trade, it’s the same thing and that one could gain profits within a short period from either of the two options.

The investments are far more profitable than short term trading but why all the influencers promote trading because they want people to become traders, join their paid groups and so on.
