B: Be disciplined; the above example won't be possible if you are not disciplined or rather when you do not have self control. Be mentally smart when gambling so you don't get carried away.

C: Remove the mindset that gambling will make you rich overnight; of course many people have made huge fortune from gambling but do you know how much these people spent to win such huge profit? Bet with what you can afford to lose and also bet according to your capacity.

D: Don't use money meant for important things like your rent or school fees to gamble. Be very conscious of this at all time.

Here's my own advice for someone who is gambling in an abnormal way.

1. Such person should pause and take some deep breaths to be able to view the image of himself gambling.

2. Check on the previous and current performance of the best played.

3. Consult for any form of assistance towards a responsible gambling, because some people can't help themselves in such situations except they receive any help externally.

4. Get an additional thing to do in other to get you engaged on a daily basis, this will reduce your gambling handling time.

The thought of some people wanting to double the little amount of money they have at hand through gambling which was never meant for gamble but that the money could not afford what it was meant for shouldn't be entertained whenever the idea crosses mind.

Avoid the temptation , work out other means to sought for that money  not gambling. You're not in control of what your bet outcome might turn to be. You stand a huge chance of losing it all than you would double.

These two are connected. people gamble with the money they are supposed to use for other things because they believe that it will come back double even triple but that is only a possibility and not a guaranteed one

None of these advice will work if that person is addicted to gambling. Do you think they don’t know all these already? They know it all. They just can’t stop doing it anyway because it is a health issue. Telling an addict to have control is like telling a mental patient to be cool. It just won’t work. People who do not gamble responsibly are by their very nature not going to follow these "simple" rules. They are the ones that get carried away or dream that scraping together that final ten bucks will somehow pay off big time, the ones that think because they have poured thousands of dollars into a casino that any moment now it will pay out the money it "owes" them. They are not seeking out advice like this and by the time they have acquired that sort of problem, it's likely that going cold turkey and completely gutting gambling out is the only real solution left. This plays into point B, where you must be disciplined, but addicts have lost all discipline and it takes a while of abstinence to relearn it.

For sure - first step is help but the person in too deep has to realise that and has
to make the move themselves.

While the steps in the OP are actually good advice but I would guess for someone
with gambling issues they are not in a position to take them. They are thinking
differently, if they could easily switch to those steps its likely they would have
done so sooner and wouldnt have issues IMO.

Although all this point you have made has been said repeatedly often in this board, but nevertheless this (option A) being the "set time limits" is a good strategy for self control, but hence people still gamble above the expected  amount they budget, and it's mostly caused by addiction. Aside that, most of the option you said are true. But difficult to handled.

Greed is the main factor that pushes gamblers in such a direction, most greedy gamblers see gambling as a quick way to double their money and at the same time not being calculative in their approach, most of the time such gamblers mostly end up addictions or huge debt.

Because when you carry such a mentality of doubling your little amount on maybe 3x max or even more, it becomes pressure for you to take up loans if you get exhausted of your initial money since greed makes it possible to lose more.

In essence, each individual has a different portion of gambling, which is clearly not too much percentage in gambling from your income.

You can't easily say to them that they need to be disciplined because they are found gambling irresponsibly. That's why if you want to help them and see them become responsible.

A and b are the most important points, a lot of gamblers lose huge amounts of money because they don't have a limit, they just gamble continually probably to get back what they lost and they can keep chasing their losses till they exhaust their bankroll completely. Set a limit that you wouldn't exceed no matter what, this would keep you in check. A gambler that is not disciplined can't be strategic, thus type of gambler wouldn't be able to stick to a plan, they also gamble based on emotions and this is something you don't need to do as someone that has learnt self control. Another point you can add to this is, A responsible gambler must learn to take breaks when needed.

Each of the four points you mentioned is part of responsible gambling.
But at the same time, I want to mention another thing and that is that when you set your limit, you should not only set a limit for losing, but also keep this limit when you win.
Because many times it happens to us that we have won a good amount and then we wager again due to greed and later we have zero cash. Yesterday I was playing Mine game and I tried to turn only 20cents into three dollars and ultimately lost a total of 3$.
So limit should be on both winning amount and as well for the loss otherwise we will not be able to get anything from it and that's won't be a responsible gambling.

Exactly. And it's like this kind thread are the ones full the gambling section now. Every newbie want to advise gamblers what to do. Lolz. To be a responsible gambler is not hard and the first thing to do is self control and if the person is addicted then it is hard for him to control himself because he is planning to win at all time. And pursue loses everytime.
When someone is addicted to something, he is already mentally disorder and disorganized. So his thinking are not normal for him to come back easily and with that, he need rehabilitation to come back to his senses.
