Things change and desire changes too, that is why there can never be one-sided development, premier league and all the other international and local football leagues are currently popular because of the efforts and time that have been put into developing those leagues and we can say that for any new developments in the football sectors in form of a new league to take over the popularity of this already know leagues, it will be very hard and at that will take a long period of times, so despite that we can not conclude on the possibility we can still point to how hard that could be to be achieved.

We do not know the future but I do not think so. Things might change but not for now. I do not see how it will even change.

Because it has a club that signed Cristiano Ronaldo and maybe some other reputed players? They signed old players from Europe. I mean someone that has been used very well in European Leagues. Europes is still home to almost all of the best and most recognized players in the world in their peak performance age. It is where players wants to go to build their football career.

Most of these leagues that you mentioned have existed for a very long time. They have gone through a series of transformations until they got to this standard. Other leagues can join these top leagues, but it will take some important factors, which include proper organization, the right policies, adequate financing, etc. The French, Turkish, Belgian, and Dutch Leagues could get to the top level.

Saudi Professional League organisers assumed that only financial support could make the SPL one of the top leagues. China did the same but failed because of so many challenges. I don't think a football league flourish under an authoritarian government. I would not conclude that the SPL has failed; they are still young and need more time before they will be evaluated.

Except you're new to gambling so will not say that it's only the English premier League, Spanish laliga and the Italian seria A that are the only popular leagues that people gamble on , infact let me tell you that when it comes to real gambling most gamblers don't even gamble on these leagues too because they are too hard to predict and get a winning so most gamblers gamble in other leagues outside of these leagues that you are mentioning here.


What you should be talking about is the popularity of these leagues in terms of followership and how it has attracted people all over the world to follow them this is because they have been able to add colour and make their leagues unique in all areas especially in the area of advertisement which has really helped these leagues to grow and get foreign attraction, what the Saudi league is trying to do is just similar to what these European leagues are doing

african players seem to be really skilled but they often get to other leagues or the more popular ones so i think they need to solidify their local teams and athletes and build popularity among their country first and eventually the whole world

but what makes a league popular is when the country is already obsessed with football if the country does not give much importance to the sport it wouldn’t be popular the british absolutely love football which is why they are popular in the country and the world

We do what makes us happy and stick to it. Football is entertaining, I imagine what we will be doing on earth if football was no originated?  Undoubtedly, English Premier League comes first when it comes to ranking from my own initiatives. They've been the best for years since every can not be confident to predict who's winning the EPL domestic league. Absolutely different from the rest where you easily predict the winner even before the league kickoffs. We're talking about clubs that are determined for winning in the English Premier League, these teams will not settled until they accomplish their titles.

these leagues mentioned are popular for a reason and they have very deep history already with the sport so i don’t think they will ever be surpassed in terms of popularity but another league could grow more in the future

the one i am thinking is if a player from the country plays in these big leagues and do really well and become the country’s hero and the country gets interested in the sport and inspires them to invest more on athletes and eventually to a league of their own

I think it's very unlikely because in terms of football leagues, there are no other leagues that compare to the European leagues. Moreover, most of the popular players perform in these leagues, which is one of the reasons why these leagues have always been on people's favorite lists.
Although it now appears that some of the most favorite players are playing in the league you mentioned, and that's probably why those leagues are starting to get a little popular. But I think if those players shift to other leagues in the future, far from gaining popularity, its popularity will actually start to decline.

It's going to be very hard though for a new league to established. I mean we are in the era already in football wherein the leagues has established themselves and they have the following of fans as well. I remember one new league in our country, back by a prominent personality in sports, spend billions upon billions to compete with the top tier league, but still up to this day, it still not well known and he admitted that he has lost a lot of money already.

So I think it's bound to fail as sports fans might not want to see another league that doesn't have good players and would rather stick to the traditional and old but established league already.

Just like what I said in my earliest comment on this thread, the reason those leagues are as popular as hell is because of the long period of their existence and the histories that they have created in the entire footballing community, and sports games most especially football games have higher audience and fans that support its activities and also contributing to making those period.e that the of time that those games are played to be quite exciting so any new developments that could beat the current commitments of those fans to the old leagues, but it will take time and effort to see that happening.

Infact at the moment I know people who actually bet in the MLs and the Saudi league, this shows you that it is now a matter of time before we start seeing more people get involved.
Saudi league has gotten more popularity all thanks to the so much money being pumped in the league, but I think all this leagues looking to gain popularity need to also start to build more academy and try to grow more younger players to give them continuity. You can grow a league with old players seeking to retire or enticing players with money.

It's no secret that money provides a strong foundation for leagues, but it's not just about money. It's also about advertising and attracting young audiences who will be future local players. For example, in the USA, where American Football predominates, the base for their soccer leagues is small. However, reaching that level of status like the "BIG" leagues is a construction of decades. Saudi is just in its infancy to be prejudged.

You know among all the whole league I think english premier league is more popular than every other league and they're highly recommended, secondly almost all the whole stars, I mean those world class players are mostly found in the english premier league. And also thier pattern of play is not always the same as other leagues, which is why sometimes when a player from other leagues is been signed by any of this premier league teams they always find it very difficult to stick to thier performance because premier league is the most toughest among others.

However, saudi professional league will never seize to exist so far as ronaldo is still there, because is obvious that this star has the highest fans in the whole wide world.

To be honest this European leagues are the most watched leagues in the world and hence the reason why it is the most watched league too, for me I don’t see any league outside the leagues actually getting close to it, reason been that even if the money is beginning to shift to the other leagues most especially Asian leagues, I still don’t think they will actually overtake the European league because even their own league is not that bad financially to most players, a transition to any other league will definitely be at the detriment of the most decorated club competition which is the champions league, for me this champions league will definitely make the European leagues dominant and as such the reason why it top leagues will still be easily the most attractive to gamblers, not to talk of the gambling restrictions on some Asian leagues which is a reason why gambling platforms cannot put juicy odds for such leagues to encourage more gamble on them like the one European clubs enjoy the most

The Saudi League just started.
They will pump out more money cause they will host the world cup in few years.
So their goal is predictable.
They want to spread out money to make people speak about their wealth and be amazed when they will see their new world in the following world cup.

Saudi pro league are simply spending a lot of money on players, they are very far from the top football leagues and only people in their country watch their football. The top five leagues in Europe are watched all around the world, with fans from all over the world too, it is going to be almost impossible for a different league to break into the top five.

I don't think another football league will take over in popularity. What will happen is that the league will become just as popular and will stay in the same grouping with them We look at the Saudi league and how much the government has budgeted for that leauge.

Look at the caliber of player going into the leauge and the attention that they are drawing. Just give it some time in years and they will be just as popular as the English Premier League, the Spanish League, the Italian League, the German league.

Yes, the league is still very dominant and indeed since long ago, clubs from EPL La Liga, Serie A, and also Bundesliga can compete very tightly. And if its fame and how the competition is, in my opinion, EPL is indeed the most among the others. But that doesn't mean the strongest club is EPL, we are still waiting for how UCL will go hehehe

Actually, the Saudi Pro League since a few years ago, since Ronaldo moved there has also become its own attention. It's just that this is not a European league and Ronaldo's influence is still that big. I don't know if he's not there anymore, whether it will still be that famous or not.

Saudi has got a lot of money and they can attract more pro and popular names into their league. But I don't think that the fans are willing to move from the usual leagues that they are fanatic of to there.

Maybe some die hard fans will go in there but it won't be enough to cover the expenses of their league.

Because that's one to consider, the revenue that they will bring to the league and to their country.
