Gambling is something that takes a person's mind immediately, so this is not good advice for a student to introduce himself to gambling because the moment he/she introduces himself to gambling, he/she will not face their education anymore; and that’s why I said it’s not advice for a student to begin gambling at an early age because it will definitely affect his knowledge.

Yes I agree with you that most guys will not face their studies anymore If they begin to gamble. But also note that not all guys will get addicted to gambling. There are some set of people who are  not regular gamblers, they do it occasionally and this helps in reducing the level at which they could have gotten addicted. I think it is a bad job of the regulators. You know, the regulation of casinos and bookmakers almost always and everywhere works poorly. Gambling establishments are allowed to create unrealistic offers in the form of bonuses that do not correspond to the promises. Most of these countries have sound regulatory laws which have provisions for the protection of students or underaged gamblers from these adverts, which spur them to gamble. But the problem is how to implement it. In my location, these regulators are easily influenced by monetary inducement. Instead of sanctioning these defaulting gambling companies, they collect bribes and fail to execute the law. Sometimes these gambling firms go as far as lobbying law makers to avoid probe or investigation into thier activities. I don't like to pay so much attention when I read things like this because they are mostly fabricated, and if at all they happened, it might not be as obvious or bad as that. Indeed, gambling companies could be desperate, and for this overstep their bounds, but they will not do it in so much open to avoid scrutiny.

Again, the employees of the gambling companies might be the ones overstepping the bonds due to the targets given to them and others.

In all, let's students, schools, parents and government take their stand to fight this tyranny and educate students the more, gambling and schooling should not mix, it's a distraction.

There is no reason to play any sort of emotional game here, the responsibility of a teacher is not just to teach but to also ensure that the students are not engaging in practices that will distract them from facing their studies to the optimum. If, from their finding, they have discovered that gambling is one of the things that has caused a drop down in the academic performance of the student, it is only right that they speak against it, just so the student can concentrate on their studies.

I am certain that this is not just about gambling, other activities that might have negatively contributed to the bad performance of the student might have also been pointed out. a student who has made gambling a part of his lifestyle will indirectly suffer for it, and from that angle, it is not wrong to say that gambling affects students. the reach that gambling companies can get to, even if we take out the student, is still much, and without the student, all of the gambling companies will still be in business because the main gamblers that are financiallly strong enough to gamble with a big amount are not even student.

Basically, there is not how that gambling won't affect students because when they are exposed to gambling while studying, it will lead them to not pay much attention to learning which can push them to using their tuition fees to gamble and what is baffling me most is that the higher institution of learning is no longer interested proffering disciplinary measures that will help the students develop academically. Lawlessness is on the increase in higher institutions and students are allowed to behave anyhow without strict rules and regulations that will guide them.
