Choose who you interact in telegram. If strangers come to offer you first, just get rid of them and avoid. If you can avoid those phishing links, then you can also avoid entertaining those strangers that suddenly popped up in your account. But if you are actually bothered with the thought that you might still fall in the scammers traps in the future, then leave your telegram account and delete the app. That way, you will never have to worry again.

Sometimes I'm quite surprised that some people actually still fall for these obvious types of scams till today. Like why the hell will someone you've never known before or had and business with just pop up out of nowhere and opt in to double your money for you even pleading and pressuring you to accept the offer.

Well I would have called the victims naive but from a logical point of view it also seems a hell lot like greed too. People get scammed everywhere not only just on the internet. It's important to be. Smart and contented.

Some people consider telegram as a scammer den

They are not wrong, and the reason why it is so is because scammers know that most newbies use Telegram to join projects and their chats, so they bait those newbies most of them succeed because newbies lack knowledge and understanding about these things, so whenever they are approached by someone telling them they have a great scheme which can help them earn a lot of money through cryptocurrencies they believe it because we know newbies think that cryptocurrencies are a get-rich-quick scheme and it's easy earning with them.

Whether we accept it or not, we can't save every single person from scammers. You educate everyone around you, and the scammers will still find someone that is still naive and has zero knowledge about these things. Sometimes I wonder how much money these scammers make with these things, and I also think how they don't ever feel bad about what they do.

Imagine stealing money from thousands of people and then living your life off of that money.

One of the few you mentioned, I see more incidents or people who are trapped in Phishing links, and I recommend getting used to it because it often claims victims and also I often see it on Telegram. As for Fake Giveaways and the dusguise scammers, we usually think about skipping them, because we often ignore these types of giveaways, and so do the disguise scammers. So in essence, I also agree with your opinion to stay careful in cyberspace, especially those related to crypto ( because in the crypto world there are so many scammers who are running their actions all the time, and I see it almost all the time, and usually it is in a scam project that uses phishing techniques, or even offers their very suspicious tokens for their contracts) ), we must always be suspicious and alert to anything, so as not to easily fall into any kind of scammer traps.

How to Protect yourself from the telegram crypto scammers?

The telegram has become a popular platform for the connection of cryptocurrency enthusiasts and daily updates on the crypto market. However, it has also become a big hotspot for scammers. Here are how you can identify telegram crypto scams and scammers and protect yourself.

1. Phishing link:

Scammers are constantly posting scam links to the Telegram groups, claiming that they are offering an offer or giving a big update. These links are taken to fake websites designed to steal your personal information. So, before entering the link to any wire group, check it up. Avoid clicking on links provided by unknown user.

Among all the strategies you have listed here or deployed the phishing attack is one of the major problem we are facing
In the cryto security system today. This scammers send a malware virus to your Mobile phone or laptop through or in form of a link and expect you to fall into the trap,  and  if you are not smart to ditect this malware earlier, then you are bound to be hacked by just using that link. So we need to apply carefulness not to fall into trouble because the phishing code will also be used against you.

Just today i got DM'ed by some telegram scammers.
They operate in a way that they are hiring you to do some work for them. Pretty simple stuff, go to a page and like it, or bookmark it. They even give you a demo task and pay you $5 in advance to prove they are legit.

TLDR; It's a scam, but if you play it right, you get $5 from the scammers

OP to be honest, this has been discussed many times about why it is mostly not safe when it comes to telegram. There are some legit on telegram but you can only find few of it since most of it are scams. Phishing links are not given only on telegram but also other platforms like discord, facebook and other websites that can let people send links. Even if newbies didn't use telegram but if they told the newbies to use telegram then the scammer can then scam that newbie.

Telegram can be an important medium for crypto enthusiasts but they must always be vigilant. By following these alertness you can protect yourself and your information from crypto scammers.
Telegram has a setting to protect who you can communicate with; you have to be familiar with this feature if you are frequently using Telegram.
There's a lot of phishing and scamming in the cryptocurrency industry; you will be targeted if you are active on Telegram groups, especially if your group happens to be a trading group, so it's important that you are well educated on how scammers work and how to safeguard your account from impersonation and getting impersonated.

Isn't there an option in Telegram to limit the number of persons, who can write to you? I advise using 2-factor authentication there. Also hide the personal information; do not click anything (even from the trusted contacts).

There was a case; many users have seen the active sessions in their profiles from different countries. The issue was you can't change the password, if at least 1 session is active. So yeah, there are actually way more ways to be hacked than I used to know. And I only wonder how many of them will be created in the future.

This feature is available in the paid version, which seems very convenient. Telegram has ceased to be what it was originally intended to be. If there is no need to use it, all the frustrations with maintaining your privacy and security disappear completely. I do not use it at all, as there are many other more secure and convenient messengers.

2. Fake Giveaway:

"Send me 1 btc and I'll send you 2 btc refund!" Scammers regularly post these national offers to telegram groups. Be careful, do not get into the trap in the hope of gaining over. These giveways are often fake.

3. The disguise scammer:

Some scammers claim to be the administrator of the popular crypto groups or as members of the team. Verify his identity before dealing with a group member of a group.

Conclusion:

Telegram can be an important medium for crypto enthusiasts but they must always be vigilant. By following these alertness you can protect yourself and your information from crypto scammers.
Did you know that ignoring messages from strangers can help you avoid various problems? Users can adjust their security settings on Telegram to prevent strangers from sending you messages or links. This way, you can neutralize potential attacks from unknown individuals.

To avoid being scammed on Telegram, it's essential not to follow the instructions of strangers. They often try to gain your trust and attention, after which they may manipulate you into doing things you shouldn't.

Once you've adjusted your security settings, it's important to be cautious about any groups you join. Even in official channels, there may be scammers. Make sure that the channel moderators are effectively managing the group and not allowing members to post any links from third parties.

One funny thing that makes me dislike Telegram is the ability for someone to delete a chat you sent to them both yours and theirs'. It is criminal from my own perspective because imagine if you wanted to share a proof of your chat with someone on telegram and you found out that the chats have been deleted from both parties, it's really annoying. It's no longer a new thing that telegram have been a major channel scammers use to execute their dubious acts, let for me alone i wouldn't have had anything to do on telegram if not for the Bitcointalk Super notifier Bot and some channels i get information about cryptocurrencies. The telegram owner, Pavel Durov needs to proffer a mechanism to help reduce the escalating scams and phishing attempts experienced by users of the messaging app.

This is very bad, I never knew that when you delete a chat from your own end on telegram you equally delete the conversation between you and the person, thanks for the information on this note I don't think it's a good idea to do a financial business on telegram since the person even delete the chat from his end and everything will be wiped out. No wonder telegram has become the hottest den of scammers they actually know what they stand to achieve since they can not be traced nor your conversation with them be recovered when you fall victim to their scam. People should avoid financial dealings on telegram as it's not save and the security of users came easily be compromised by scammers.

Telegram is scammers den. I have hundreds of scammers accounts blocked there, and often they block me too. Every time you send a message in some crypto group asking for anything (i.e, 3rd point in op), you'll likely receive PM from a scammer pretending to be admin, trying to 'help' you; I sometimes play around with them.

How to Protect yourself from the telegram crypto scammers?

...

Telegram can be an important medium for crypto enthusiasts but they must always be vigilant. By following these alertness you can protect yourself and your information from crypto scammers.

on all online platforms imo not only in telegram, scammers also often roam around on facebook and tiktok and twitter, even every day I get emails to claim the bitcoin giveaway that I got.

Therefore, do not be too friendly with people who act friendly to you in the online world, even if they are a blue tick account, it does not guarantee that their account is honest, besides that, always ask out loud their real purpose in contacting you, do not be small talk with them, you will only make them more interested in you.

You still have time to play with scammers who send you PM? you have too much free time for that. I will immediately block PM from such accounts without any reply.
Another PM is a random person who suddenly sends a message to invite cooperation in launching their platform. I received PM like that several times.

For those who often participate in airdrops or groups on telegram related to memecoin or trading signals must be more careful. Even if we are not active in the group, there is a possibility that scammers will randomly send us messages to talk or offer something.

It depends on mood, and it's good entertainment, they'll go to heights to pretend that they are genuine.

snip
Not bad suggestion. If you're vulnerable to pimitive Telegram scams, maybe this app isn't for you.
I have Telegram app, but only crypto related activity that I use this app for is Bitcointalk notification bot.

If I can't do something, I don't pretend to know it all. This is the rule I follow in life.

One thing I have learned from telegram is that no matter how hard you try, you can always get scammed there. It doesn't matter whether you are a newbie or someone who is well experienced. I have seen, heard, observed countless times, in countless ways where a user either got scammed or almost got scammed in telegram. So if you are not sure whether you can handle it or not, you shouldn't just use that app. At least not until you are ready, or until you have acquired enough knowledge how to save oneself from scammers.

Personally, I use telegram for the same reason you do. If not for the Bitcoinstalk notified bot being based on a telegram, I wouldn't have used it. I would simply uninstall it. Since there are no alternatives, I am but using telegram. Of course, I took some measures to ensure I didn't fall for scams easily. For example, I have 2 accounts, on two separate devices, all contact detail private, hidden and 2FA'ed. One for personal work and the notifier bot and the other one for everything related.

There are scammers in almost all platforms but I think telegram way of scamming is very diverse and we should always be careful of these people that would sometimes send us dm trying to explain something to us which we are not aware about.
Crypto scams is quite versatile and every crypto holders need to be very careful. For us to keep ourselves safe from these hackers and scammers, we need to be conscious on how we interact with outsiders because this might never be an easy journey.

I usually use a spare PC or virtual box to do some reckless thing like clicking phishing links or ads to verify if the site is asking for seed phrase backup or any private/important details.

At least scan the URL with VirusTotal before clicking on it, even in a virtual machine.
