I don't gamble quite often anymore, I used to gamble really often before though, but constant loses made me give up depending on gambling for any form of monetary value, right now, I only gamble when ever I feel like and I usually don't expect anything from it, in other words, I can say that I gamble mostly for the fun of doing it, not really for the purpose of making money.

And let me say that I also don't know anybody here in my area whom I would say depend totally on gambling for their livelihood, this days, with how hard things have become in my country, I doubt anybody will depend solely on money made from gambling for livelihood, because we all know how gambling is, it's absolutely unreliable.
And speaking of the figures you mentioned, I doubt if I have even made a $1000 profit in a year in all my years of gambling, not to talk of making that every month, it will take a great deal of luck for any body to be making such amount of money from gambling every month, as good as impossible if you ask me.

Making a living from gambling is a fatal mistake and also an inappropriate action, gambling is speculation, no matter how smart the analysis in gambling still has a very high risk, we know hope is always the main reason for destruction. I don't aim at wining $1,000 or $5,000 in a month because I don't have that kind of gambling skill except maybe the game I predicted that month turn out to be a wining game. Though some gamblers usually have at least some money most of them won in a months but it varies from the amount because you can win $200 this month and the next month you win $50 and you can also not win at all for months of gambling, so I don't no if there are people who believes that gambling must buy them luxury but I don't think about gambling to give me that, don't get me wrong I'm not saying that I don't want money because everybody wants that but I cannot see gambling to have a consistency of a salary.

The reason why you need a jobs or business or both is because the winning you get from gambling is not consistent, it is not specific, it is not certain, it is not fixed. But your salary is fix and consistent and can also be increased based on your performance at your work place and but while gambling, you are risking to lose.

But luckily they have all recovered after they know that they are about to finish ruining their lives. Gambling is not a source of income.  Anyone that think gambling is a source of income is foolish.

The most painful truth is when someone decides to gamble as their main source of income instead of spending some money to have fun. I know not all gamblers are the same - but it is very unfortunate if they make gambling as a source of income. It is okay if someone spends 5% to 10% of their income to have fun in gambling - but when they decide to bet 100% of their income to double it, then that is clearly self-deception.

I never asked my friends if they were making money from gambling and make gambling a source of income - but it's possible that they are, they just don't want to admit it. I personally wouldn't warn them more than once - it's their business and they'll pay the consequences.

Anybody who sees gambling as a source of income might become poor. Some people have luckily become rich through gambling but the number is very insignificant.  How would someone depend on an activity they has no guarantee of any money for a long period of time. Most gamblers are gainfully employed in different professional and they just use gambling as entertainment. Even people who see gambling as a source of income see it as a side hussle not a full time job.

If people should make such amount in the gambling it can't be monthly, because it's understanding that in gambling you can't be winning consistently in the gambling, so I believe whatever we are doing we need to know that you can win today in the gambling but you may not win next two week's, I'm not doubting that someone can not win up to $1000, but it most not to be every week, you may have luck to win two times in two weeks but it will not be same amount, wining of high amount gambling is base on the odds and the staking rate.

Let me say first that the cost of living in my country is trying to kill the living People with full time job are finding it difficult to make ends meets and some of them have to work two jobs for that to become possible. The punters in my country who are follow online are doing it part time and they have multiple streams of income. There is no one that I know of that makes a living through gambling. The only people who are doing this successfully well are the gambling operators and they don't gamble.

The point I got after reading the whole thing is that OP does not recommend gambling to get the main income. I also agree with that, and I also find it very difficult to apply by finding a source of money from gambling, and I agree more with your application, which is gambling just for fun, while the main income is from working, and also by investing. Trust me, I had much knowledge about the risks of gambling, I knew that gambling is never going to replace a stable income or a job. However, I think that wasn’t enough to keep me away of it, foolish? Yeah, maybe I was but at the same time, it was a lesson for me. I had the same experience as your friends, I had to take a loan, thinking I will recover my losses, after a losing streak, in my head, there was noway that I keep losing so many times in one slot, but it happened and it was a painful wake up call.

Maybe bounty hunters and bonus hunters to make that amount from gambling ? because as long as you are not very lucky or don't have A LOT of capital to play , then I doubt you can achieve those amounts simply from basic gambling.
