Small odds must not be underrated. @Zigabel, you have perfectly explained the reason why bookies make some odds very small and what I love about your comment is when you mentioned that the bookmakers do for sure knows the outcome of a game. I have staked on a game that was just 1.5 odds because it was assumed that the team would win but during the live match, their odds got to 5.8 because they were losing, but the opposite team who had the big odd was losing and their odds was reducing from 5.8 to 1.1
The outcome of a fixture is not determine by the odd given to the game by the casino, bookmakers can do their analysis and public odds but can not determine what happens at last.

You take small odds and ignore potential big odds with the belief that the home team will win, you sound confident, that's great. However, if i were in your shoes with a small selection of odds, it would be better to ignore them, because even if winning will not have a significant impact because the profit earned is small unless you bet with big money, i prefer to speculate with big odds, because it is worth the risk faced.

So your expecting that highly favorites will always win? No its not and this is a very wrong misconception for most people or bettors that they do really believe that with those low odds will always be the winners. This is why we do have that so-called upsets that do really happen because of these kind of similar situations on where favorites being beaten by those underdogs and actually it isnt really that shocking after all.
You would really be that having a lesson learned on this one because sticking with those low odds will really be giving out that 100% assurance or having that sure win. The odd thing for bookmakers are just like what they have analysed and perceive to be the outcome and that is why they will lower some odds above others. Of course they use the stats just like gamblers too predict. For bookmakers, I don't know of match fixing but I know that such a high odd winning against very small odd comes from time to time (rarely) and some gamblers wait for such ridiculous odd sometimes not minding the stats against the small team they still bet them anyway, seeing it as a game of chance. They take such risk but usually in a single game.

Just like others have mentioned - an odd of 1.01 can make you lose a game the fact that it’s a tiny odds that’s not of any significance doesn’t mean that you’ll win or your win is guaranteed.

If you do a survey you’ll notice that most gamblers that are experienced are now shying away from small odds because they have equal risks which is either you win or you lose and since you’re risking anything why don’t you just go for something that will give you a better reward than choosing an odd that’s only there to deceive people to believe that their wins are guaranteed.
