There is no other country that I can think of for me to live my old age other than Indonesia, not without reason because the cost of living in my country is very cheap and I have many relatives here and also want to be buried near the graves of my parents in the future, but to find money in our country is quite difficult so I actually really want to work abroad, especially in Australia or Europe where the salary received for my country's current exchange rate is quite high and can make me live my old age without worrying about money.

it will definitely be somewhere in europe like in switzerland which is one of the top 10 happiest countries in the world the climate is also good not too extremely hot nor cold and it is also one of the top 10 biggest economies by gdp and their highest contributor

they have very nice views and nice weather so this is where i would like to retire in in the future if possible

I live in a third-world country with a wonderful climate and a suitable place for seniors to retire. On the other hand, the economic situation here is somewhat deteriorating, which has caused the value of the local currency to decline against major currencies.
These conditions are suitable for any retiree receiving a salary in euros or dollars, enabling them to secure a happy life at a very low price compared to their retirement pension. Imagine that a retiree from Italy, for example, earns between $2,000 and $5,000 per month, while the average salary in my country is less than $500.

From this perspective, I will consider the country I would like to retire in, based on the value of my retirement salary. Then I choose a country with a low-value currency compared to my local currency and compare other factors, such as the security situation and the culture of the people.

In my old age, I would like to retire in a peaceful serene environment like Canada. My reasons are that it has universal healthcare that takes care of visiting citizens and permanent citizens. Everyone is treated equally medically and otherwise

My other reasons are Canada has a low cost of living and a low crime rate. Canada is a friendly and welcoming country. I would love to retire and spend my old age in my village, a quiet place sorounded by nature, get a property up the hill where I can have a view of the rich forest, i always feel very relaxed in the midst of friendly folks. But I need money to build my my dream house in my village and not struggle to do hard jobs inorder to survive. So I wouldn't mind traveling outside my country to make more money because the Nigerian economy is hard for the ordinary citizens. My friends who are in Europe, and America, are earning better incomes for doing the same type of work in my country. But wherever I travel to will be to get better opportunities to make more money, after I'm established, me and my wife have planned that we will retire and spend the rest of our lives in my village, she loves the environment.

I laugh when I read your post, Canada is one of country which has a high cost of living and I don't think the crime rate is low. There's no way for immigrants from second or third world countries are hoping to retire in first world countries.

It's mostly immigrants work and change their citizenship, then they retire in that country, but they move to cheaper country to enjoy their live.

Honestly I am tired of living in any city or country, with an unstable economic life makes me unable to think long if retirement still remains there.

Rural with the sound of birds in the morning and the view of the eyes of the sunny day and the natural situation is still maintained and the economy of $ 400/ month has become a decent life when retirement arrives, that's my choice, honestly I am not interested in the country tall buildings, I am very happy and enjoy the natural atmosphere far from pollution, free life and moral people, that is my choice when retiring, I think it's better than everything.

Assuming that I will have a good amount of retirement money I think I will stick to the Philippines specifically on Boracay Island, Bohol or Palawan because they decent food and house price in there while they have majestic beaches worthy for retirement.

Philippines has a low cost of living if you will live on the province places while there’s a lot of resources accessible already if you have enough retirement money.

The best country to retire to, is the country you spent all your youthful life in, because you have the ability to connect with the locals and you might have had friends you built relationship with over the years, so it is not advisable for anybody to want to retire and wish to retire in somewhere else outside the place he or she has spent his youthful life. There is saying in my local parlance that says, "you don't learn how to use your left hand during old age". You cannot go and retire in an estrange land where you have no bearing, that's not a good decision to take when you're at a certain age bracket no matter the economic situation, if you have to leave then leave at a young age.

There are many people that would like to leave their country of birth at a young age but due to low or not enough income they couldn't achieve that dream. But as they grow up and make more money they now see the need to move abroad and retire there. What if you grew up in a country without adequate healthcare facilities? A country that pay little or no attention to senior citizens, and you know at old age people suffer more when it comes to health. You grew up in a country where your political leaders ask you to stay in the country and make it great, but they themselves never stays there. Whenever anything happens to them they are always running to foreign countries for medical treatments. Maybe if you come from a country like mine, you will never talk about retiring in a country where you grew up from. As for me I would like to retire in France, in the city of Monaco. France has more black people and it has always been my dream to live in Monaco.

Well for some, it is the money, but for some, its the scenery and for some its the memories and then there comes faith and religion, so if I have to choose I would choose Saudi Arabia to be my last place where I want to be and want my grave to be there as well.

Speaking of why? the life won't be easier there, as it is hot there, and things can be expensive, and for outsiders they have worst jobs, as now a days people there are not providing good salaries to Pakistanis especially and also not behaving right to them, as far as I know but still I want to be there due to my religion.

i can afford to spend my active life outside the shores of my country but never my retirement time. retirement is a time you spend with your root. the place where your placenta came from and where your ancestors lived. regardless the level of sophistication other countries night be, home is home and it is where the soul yarns for.

maybe retiring early might present an opportunity to tour around certain Europe and maybe china just for the purpose of having a feel of how their culture and way of life looks like but that wont generally last for so long. when you have built wealth to a point of retiring, going back to your hood to get things fixed makes a lot of meaning.

Chosen the country to retire depends on your level of income or your financial capacity, a person who bearly feed or an average person will never think of going to another country while he has less or no cash. As for me I can only think of retiring in another country if I have my major asset or investment there. But as for now my major asset is in my country so I can't predict where to retire since I still have along way to go, afterall am still young and would have my decision when I am approaching retirement age. You most times we talk things out of excitement but when nature hit us we change our focus so like I said till then.

When one is going for a retirement, it is as though you’ve accomplished all what you want to achieve in life and just want to finally go and rest and enjoy yourself. Such type of happiness can only be derived from you are living with you family and closed ones and that can only happen if I decide to retire in my country and spend the rest of my retirement days in my country Nigeria. As every country faces economic challenges, it is very hard to see a country free with all the hurdles that will make you dislike spending your retirement time there. So it’s better to chose a country you’re most familiar with and won’t find many problems with the people living with you there.

In my opinion, the best country to live in after retirement is your own country, your birthplace, where you were born. If you go to your own village in your old age, you will get a kind of mental peace. It is the happiest to go to your own village and grow your own food and eat more organic food. Where you can spend time with your grandchildren. So I think living in your own village is the happiest.

I would like to stay in my country because it's the best place to be, even though it's among the most corrupt countries in the world and the economy keeps get worse on a daily basis. Nigeria isn't really suitable for people who are struggling and trying to get on their feet, this is the only reason why people would consider flying out, they go to other countries to seek greener pastures but if you are looking forward to enjoying the money you have worked for Nigeria is the best place to be. In most countries the age of retirement is 60 years or above. At that stage of life we need people around us with whom we can spend time. To me it's best to stay in your native country after you retire from wok. If you want to move from your native country then better move in early age so that you can settle there when you reach your retirement age. If I were to select a country where I want to retire in, it would depend on a lot of factors. The economy, landscapes, history, and its culture. Religious factors are also very important to me. The country with better Mediterranean climate, beautiful beaches along the coast, I will prefer it. Pakistan is the country that fulfills all my demands to retire in. The cost of living is more affordable than in other European countries because it provides a high quality of life for the retirees without any major issues. If we compare the price values, Pakistan's rupee is more cheaper than Europian Dollar. Medicare facilities are very excellent in Pakistan at reasonable prices. The locals there are very friendly, making it easy for the retirees to adjust. The culture of Pakistan is filled with festivals, historical sites, and yummy food to enjoy. For people who like outdoor activities, Pakistan has the best places for hiking, biking, and exploring nature. In Pakistan, People respect the feelings of every other person, providing a tranquil environment for relaxing retirement. Will all these factors, I will prefer Pakistan after my retirement.
