I think that it is a great idea to leave Bitcoin inheritance for your child, what you need to focus is to secure your seed phrase so it doesn't get stolen or lost because that is the key to handover the Bitcoin inheritance to him or them.

Surely you want your children to have some Bitcoin set aside for them now, in this day and age the equivalent of setting up a Swiss bank account for them is too easy with BTC. Every parent always has this taught of wanting to pass on a legacy that will secure their child's financial foundation and I'm proud to hear that you want to do the same for your kid. Op the cost of bitcoin mining is very expensive especially when you're not all that wealthy financially, except you plan on just remaining  a solo miner which is also very difficult to successfully guess a block compared to when you set up a mining farm. Anyways congratulations to you. You could make a separate  butcoin wallet for your son that can act as a savings for his future since bitcoin  rearly devalues over time unlike our fiat currencies that pases through every inflation every now and then. Saving your funds on bitcoin network is actually the best investment per return you can get especially when you hold of long term.

Thing that you should do is focus on the effort of spending time with that kind rising them. Maybe i am cynical, but imho this "saving btc for my kid" thing is weird. Saving a magazine that was printed when they were born has more idea, because that's personal novelty gift.

You might as well keep raising bitcoin for yourself, and decide to give it to your kids when they are older. Outcome is the same, but you won't let yourself down if at some point you would need cash, and only place to get that is by cracking your kid's btc piggy. Raising kids are hard and this is one of them zero effort grand gestures, that might pay off and where you might end up in situation where you have to eat your word.

Because imagine a situation where you are desperate need of money, that you need for that kid. You would only let everyone down by cracking his btc piggy. Only way it to work would be that you wouldn't tell anyone about it, but if you died, are you sure that they would be able to figure out that they have btc or what to do with it?

When kid grows up, you can give some of your btc to them, because if you really think it's going to rise, you are going to slowly grow your bag anyway. Why does it matter if you keep a separate wallet for it now?

Frankly, you have made me think about how deep Bitcoin is involved in my life. A great part of my lifetime can’t pass without me checking the charts, the news or interacting with this community. I mean, I literally getting engaged tomorrow, and yet here I m still posting about Bitcoin, because it’s not just a part of my lif but it is now my life in so many ways. I make a solid income thanks to this forum and everything it has brought me, and that’s mostly because of Bitcoin.

And now that you hve brought it up, your post hit me differently. The idea of preparing for a child’s future through Bitcoin it’s something I thought about in passing, but now it feels more real. If I had the chance to be a parent, I would definitely start stacking some satoshis in cold wallets specifically for them. Not just as a form of saving but as a way to slowly introduce them to the ideology behind it: freedom, sovereignty and all types of independence.

I've been in a situation like this, with a newborn baby, I didn't even have enough money for my household expenses when my baby was just born. and at that time, covid was happening, there was no offline work in real time and only relying on the results of crypto, taking a few cents to collect from any crypto activity at that time. this was really bad, and sales in real life were getting worse and worse due to Covid19 at that time which lasted until 2020 which was very bad, especially with the total lockdown in my area. I was really almost desperate.

and, to be honest, the results of crypto little by little, that's what helped me survive with limited income, but grateful because I didn't have to go into debt for our needs. and I think, every person may have their own moment when they have to get used to and only focus on the crypto world. However, don't because of this, keep thinking that you have to leave your real life job to focus only on crypto.

And now, with the situation that I have experienced before, yes, I still focus on the crypto world and also real life. so that there is still good income from crypto and also real life that is getting better. and for my children, in the future, I will definitely prepare for the possibility of understanding the crypto world with all its developments later.

That's the hard reality in mining these days as you need sophisticated miners to earn a decent income. If you are not very well-versed in crypto mining, you can already use that amount to invest in an actual business not related to crypto. But you can always accept btc or other top alts for payment. The APR will take long, so you need to prepare yourself if you will explore this path of investment. Do remember that up until now, this market is still very volatile and you can't get good assurance that you won't lose in this path.
But the OP can always check the mining aspect to fully understand the pros and cons. However, need to mine small first before going big. So he can gauge if mining is for him or not.
