This looks like MtGox hear the voice of people and added more power! Anyway - socketio is very strong last hour and you can see this by increased move. Thank you MtGox! Bad thing they don't have anyone here to talk. But maybe it's better, such "silent PR"? Looks like there's bug: Bids should be asks and asks-bids. But it depends how you interpret it. I will leave this until next update. Maybe it should be sell/buy? I'm currently in middle of the work on some kind of "rebroadcasting" system and it will take next couple days. There's chance you will get live data from all exchanges no matter if they have any sockets API. I'm thinking how to show volume, I have some ideas, but maybe you guys have some proposals, examples? "sell/buy" for that part of it is IMO much less confusing than "ask/bid"

and yes thank you Mt. Gox for another saturday night I will have to ditch my gf ... lol XD
It would be nice if they had a PR presence on the board here at least as strong as Zhou maintains with Bitcoinica. (Maybe they do and I just haven't noticed, in which case I humbly admit my ignorance).

I got this weird error when trying to refresh btccharts.com
"We're sorry...
... but your computer or network may be sending automated queries. To protect our users, we can't process your request right now."
What's going on? I can't seem to get the chart back.

I've blacklisted your IP. Since sockets are working just "fine and dandy" there's no need refresh ...at all. Clear browser cache, use chrome, use latest flash player, and I'm sure you will get live data Anyway, your IP are now out of the blacklist - if you have problems with live data - please contact me, or write here. There's hard refresh every 15 minutes (all data is reloaded).

Hey I'm using chrome to view this and it seems I DO have to refresh it occasionally... the top large-font price will update correctly, but the graphics will stop updating. Suggestions?

Ok, I'm back and MtGox sockets fail again. I don't get it - yesterday they can handle very high number of connections, but today .. ? Crypt - well, use http://mtgoxlive.com when there's no live data 83 seconds from last data usually this hovering around 0-10

i still think you should place the vertex of where the bid ask mountains meet at the bottom in the middle of the chart.
all of us like to compare the total amts of money of each mountain against the other. my eyes immediately go to both ends of the chart to compare the relative height of the bid vs ask mountains. the ends of the chart also represent an equal difference in the price from the last price which brings symmetry and to me more information as to the buying vs selling pressure.

And you are right - it's on my todo list. Just give me some time

I've added 3 IP's to blacklist (refresh every minute). You hog btccharts and mtgox - it's 2.5 MB to load and send every time. In future I will optimize this so it wont be an issue, bit for now it's not the way you should use this service. Blacklist will be cleared tomorrow. If you want to be in touch with current events use btc-alertI'm using it couple months and it to the job. Checks price every minute so it's fast. Mail notifications works also after you close this page. Use it with gmail notifier so you will get something like this:
