Honestly, I have never tried betting using AI. And I have no plans either since I know in the very first place that AI got no real impact with gambling. Yes, they can provide real statistics but those are just computer-based programmed that only rely on its past events and history. It can never make an accurate prediction on what will be the possible outcome of our gambling bets, so there’s no way I’ll fall on this kind of trap.

I remember Ognasty posted a thread where he tried using AI to pick the winning team for him, and the last time I saw the thread, he was on a win streak, but I don't know if those were his last bets or if he continued betting after that.

So I looked for the thread Ognasty posted, and from the looks of it, the total result of his bets is 9/16.

Yeah, AI cannot give a guaranteed prediction as it just analyses the data available to it and gives a prediction based on that. It's basically the same as what an odds provider does. Odds provider analyses each team that will be in the same match and compares them to each other(at least that's what I know), and then based on that, they will give the odds for each team in that match.

AI is not some magical tool, and furthermore, the tools we use are just collecting and interpreting information, here is absolutely nothing different between what they are doing and what a bookie or a punter is doing they're analysing the team, the matches, and information on the internet about it and draw a conclusion based on patterns, surprise this is what the timeform thing is and this is what people have been doing before not AI but computers where even invented.

If AIs were able to predict anything remarkable, the first ones to rely on would be the bookies, then, well the people who built those would be gambling millions and either you would see bookies out of business or nobody would bet since bookies would offer lower than average odds since they know what the result would be.
But since nothing like this happens, that is proof enough AI is garbage at predicting stuff.

But these technological tools cannot control or determine the outcome of the game. Favorites could lose games against lowly placed teams due to certain conditions.

Not to create long story! however I did experiment one of my long waited biases yesterday and it did turn out to be some sort of good guess but later failed.

On the basis of AI, I took a chance at Deepseek promoting it to give me a close guess or tips on what team to win football matches yesterday and somehow it gave a good tips with statistics that gave me a chance to be rational in decision making but because of greed and the payout was quite small so I added my own guess to increase the chance of high return and it turnout that my own guess ruined the bet.

Curious to ask, did anyone ever try this out? it could work and also fall.

You can't deny the fact that the AI gave you a near success insight into the games, and picked out the finest analysis to help you make good, informed decisions on your bets, but you added and extra game's which are based on your own analysis, so now you lost the bet, so what do we say now, we say that the AI is correct since those games predicted using the AI we're all winning games unleashed but the ones that you added on your own that lead to you losing out on the bet, so concluding some time if you depends on AI predictions you may record some level of winning, but not 100% winning at the end, so it is a 50/50 chance thing.

You are right that this is what AI can do, but these are also things that we can do ourselves. There are software tools that we can use that are not exactly AI but can organize data and stuff. We can make use of these and make the analysis ourselves.

AI is a robot. They are too fixed and can't be flexible. Meanwhile, we can create some allowance in our bets that AI can't do. There are human factors involved in sports and gambling after all and AI can't fully grasp those since they are not humans.

It's better to use other betting tools than to use AI because it can't be as reliable as you think.. I used chatgtp a year ago and i got lucky with for the first few days but after a while I started losing a lot of money...I started increasing my stakes because I got too confident in the predictions o got from Ai.. artificial intelligence isn't capable of predicting the future so don't put in too much hopes In the predictions you get from it...Ai gives you informations provided on the internet, if you ask me I think it's better to use prediction sites.

Now you have your answer, but if you don't try it out you will never know, it is the same way that traders are using bot when AI was still very new and they keep cashing out but later the bots started bringing losses for them.

I am not surprised. I think bookmakers have been using AI help to adjust their odds for a long time now, in addition to the statistical programs they already use. Paid versions. And if you use an AI for betting you will at best match the AI they use but probably the one you use will be worse.

Nah, never tried it. Why? Because someone told me already that it doesn't really work, so I should just avoid doing it. I did ask my friend who used AI as a basis for his bets if, somehow, the prediction was close. He said, "No.".

We cannot rely on this because it will probably just use the analysis that was done by the oddsmakers, so the AI might just be predicting the same thing as the odds listed in the sports bookies. I think the best way is still through human choice and using spreads to enhance the chance of winning.

Sports in general having more variables in contrast to market mechanics makes it less attractive.

You mean that if you have followed just the DeepSeek prediction, that you would have won? This is contradictory to your topic title as if it was DeepSeek that failed the experiment for you. Or can you explain better by quoting me.

If you mean that it was not the fault of DeepSeek, know that AI prediction can not still favour you as a gambler. Betting is not what is easy to win more than lose. People do lose than win.

Would never do this. AI for me is just a glorified search engine and that's how it's going to be for a couple more years at least imo. Analysis is still a whole different beast that it's going to have difficulties tackling about.

I have used AI several times just to see the overall statistical data of a team that is quite foreign to me and the results are quite successful, but to ask for betting predictions I only tried it once in a parlay and failed because as you experienced 1 match the prediction was wrong, therefore do not always rely on AI because independent analysis is also needed, sports are dynamic so there are many factors that we must pay attention to such as player injuries, weather, coach changes etc. which are not always displayed by AI.

I would never trust AI with my money, whether gambling, daytrading, transactions or simply holding it. One bug or hallucination and all the money could disappear in a second. Maybe I am being too paranoid but I choose humans over programs everytime when it comes to decisions that have a financial impact.
