Gambling when you are broke would only make you lose more because you tend to put in more emotions into it when you need money badly, and when you gamble with such mindset you are going to lose..Some people gamble because they need money urgently for something.. it's a game of winning and losing, Profit isn't guaranteed, it's not some kind of investment that can just double your money whenever you want.. people who do this need to change their mindset about gambling.

There's was an old thread where a member wanted to double the money he wanted to use for medical treatment but because the money was not going to be enough, he wanted to use the one he has to gamble, so he can double it but I think they advise of members discouraged him. There are some situations that one is not supposed to gamble, when they are broke, when they want to double the money they intended to use for something important and when they think they can win the house. Any gambler that is gambling in such a situation will just end up to blame them self.

Unfortunately those who gamble the most have no money, most of them have no life than to just survive every day, they will beg for money and end up in a casino or betting outlet, I've seen many of them in my country before.

one can be excited when it happens that the last penny is the lucky charm but there will be a greater pain than the excitement if it turns the other way round, this senerio cases is what majority has experience including myself but was in the time past not now any more because I know better now compared to before, we don't have to gamble when we are in very tight corner with our level of finance because it will only end up putting our emotions at risk, yeah health conditions like high blood pressure is real and gambling in such an unpleasant manner or approach can lead one  in to such bad health condition unknowingly.

Been broke is on different levels, if you can still afford to gamble when you don't have some money then it's a bad sign of addiction but some people can still gamble because broke is a word that has different meaning for every individual.

I know people who called themselves broke when they have a lot of money in their bank account and I don't blame them, they called themselves broke because their source of income was blocked, I like this set of people because of their awareness, if money isn't coming in for you every month then there is a problem regardless of how much you already have in your account.

And for some people, they go broke without any money hidden or saved somewhere for them to use later, this set of people are the ones I have a problem with, such people shouldn't be thinking about gambling at all, they should focus on finding ways to start making money.

It's not wise to think of gambling in such situations because having something is at least better than having nothing, and we know that gambling has the ability to take everything away, especially if we have a limited amount and we are trying to double it with gambling where luck is the only thing that can make us succeed and we can't know whether we will get lucky or not, and you can't be lucky at all times, so it's too much risk and one shouldn't take that much risk with the only amount they have on them which they need to use for medical bills.

Easier said that done, I have this thoughts that most of the people that are gambling might be in the borderline and they see gambling as the only way to get out of their situation. I understand your concern or your advise, but if you go to land base casinos which I did 2 days ago, I still see some people who might really wanted to stake everything for that one win, one hit and a jackpot.

Yeah especially if you are into gambling and for sure that its hard to do those things they like to avoid gambling. There are poor people  thinking about that this is a good venue for them to skip poverty especially if they hit big gains on the casino games they are playing or even the lottery they are betting. The same thing as drinking alcohol because of having some problems. And this is a stupid decision that someone must know because this action will never end well but in suffering losses and regrets. Why? Because most decisions come from emotions, we act like we don't care. I see some people doing this, and I understand their situation. But this is really the best option to take because this won't resolve the problem. Instead, this even drives it to worsen. Most gamblers are also broke and still find a way of gambling. Being broke does not mean that you can't afford money for gambling, most gamblers even though they are broke still use there spare money for gambling and if they don't have, they might even borrow money from friends just to gamble. It's more about who easily you get moved to gamble when the urge comes.
