Pacman didn’t look that dominant to say he clearly beat the champ. If anything, he just had a slight edge in the scoring if he were to win. But honestly, a draw is still better than a loss.

When I first saw the scores, I actually thought Barrios should’ve won, so I did a bit of checking, and based on boxing rules, two judges have to score it in favor of one fighter for him to be declared the winner. So even if one judge had Manny winning it still ends up a draw.

I think that’s fair, but it’s understandable why some people were upset especially with an arena full of Pacquiao fans.

Pacquiao is still really a great boxer. I was surprised how he moved this fight against Barrios. He trained his body well to be able to compete head on despite of his age and after many years of not being into a title match.

I am also looking forward for a rematch against Barrios or a title match again on a different division.

Mayweather Jr. retired at 48 and Pacquiao is currently 46yrs. old. so maybe 1 or 2 more match for him before he really retires.

I think a draw is the most fair result, because Pacquiao had no advantage and although we must admit that Pacman did a phenomenal job in his 46 years and sometimes it seemed that it was “the old” Pacman of 00-10th, especially when he roared at the opponent, but it is clear that Pacquiao has not such a high speed that was before, which is logical at his age and he can not attack as often as before.
Frankly speaking more surprised Barrios, who looked quite modest against Pacman and except for tight jabs nothing memorable and Barrios got a draw apparently for the last rounds, which he spent better than Pacman, especially the 12th.

The younger Barrios can continue to be champion and having fought Pacman is very much good for his record. On Pacman, he has proven that he can fight competitively against a younger boxer on a championship fight and he also got his big purse heheheh.

I'm a Filipino, and I've seen Pacquiao fought in his prime years. He's beyond his prime years already so I expected less from him.

In his older age, he needs a minimum recovery time of 1 year and this might be the shortest if he wants to chase the welterweight championship and have a rematch against Barrios.
