After seeing how PSG played their two last finals against Chelsea and Tottenham,  I can only conclude that they may not be able to replicate last year's performance this year. You mentioned the premier league teams warming up for the champions league but when mentioning the teams that will be contending for the champions league trophy, you only mentioned Manchester City and no any other team again from the English side. You don’t trust must of them to win the trophy or what? While even mentioning, I would have mentioned Chelsea in the list because they have shown great performance last season and became one of the formidable teams to battle for the champions league next season. Even the defending champions, PSG has felt the strength of Chelsea and will be scared to meet them for the second term when they meet in the champions league. I want to say that PSG had a very good luck. We know that PSG is a good team. But football does not only depend on the team. Every match has to be played with a different strategy. I like this part that you put up here, that every match has to be played with a different strategy, I really agree on that with you. Every game has a strategic way of approaching them, some games might be easier to play than another and vice versa. Psg showed class in the last stages of the game maybe tottenham players were already tired and they took the advantage to deal with them. For now PSG does look like they are going to maintain that form they used against big teams last season in the champions League, against Chelsea their performance was very poor and watching how they struggled to find their feet again against Tottenham it's a clear indication that the team is tired and need to get their strength back before performing better again. PSG performance in the French Ligue1 can not be compared to their performance in the champions League so they can still retain their league but winning the champions League will require them to work hard to improve their performance.

Don't underestimate psg. They have a very strong squad, so they'll be looking to repeat last season success. Although other teams continue to improve by signing new player and changing coach, if they can't improve their game, It will be difficult for them to reach the final.

There is no convincing reason to believe that PSG will get into this season with any less motivation than they had last time.

Replication is quite complicated as they have won so many titles, but what must be considered when it is about replicating performance, it does not necessarily mean they win the same titles again. it would also depend on how the other teams do.

If you take the Champions League final for instance, I think expecting PSG to replicate that result is not fair as everyone has seen that Inter Milan for unknown reasons played several levels below their average season performance.

The UEFA Champions League competition is not like a domestic league where you can easily predict the club that will end up winning the domestic title, so I will wait for the UEFA Champions League to start so that I can see how the big clubs will perform before I predict the club that has the chance to win the UEFA Champions League trophy next season.

To be fair this Tottenham looks better than last years Tottenham, the managerial change definitely helped them out. I am guessing that they were a better team when they were facing PSG. Still PSG should have won easily, it was weird that they almost lost. They won in the last 5-10 minutes basically, otherwise they would have been the loser sand PSG losing two back to back finals would have been horrible for them.

The real question is, did PSG play badly and that's why the game looked like that? Or did Spurs played great and the game looked like that? I believe there was a bit of both. PSG wasn't "that" bad compared to past, and Tottenham was a bit better, so when you combine those two together, you get a good result.
