I congratulate the Azerbaijani team and am proud of them.

That penalty kick goal from Promise Akinpelu of Royale Union Saint-Gilloise already ruined my combo bet.
Lost right away on the first leg. All of my bets today are the same type: draw in 1st 10 mins. Looks like the remaining five might actually hit. That’s how it usually goes lose on the first leg, then the rest of the legs win.
But when you bet on those, they end up losing too. I guess that how gambling life works. lol f.

I felt somehow about this game from the beginning, even though lots of bettors predicted psv to win or draw I had some doubts because union are known to pressure big teams and they are also good in goal scoring.  Psv is already lagging behind and union have scored to goals in that first half, there goes all the expectations people placed on psv. Well, it's not to late for them to turn things around

This match with that of Benfica versus Qarabag are the strange matches of today that ended in the least expected ways. Everyone felt that PSV would win the match, they same way we thought that Benfica will enjoy easy victory, Unfortunately, the home teams were defeated  and that of Benfica was the most disgraceful one since they were leading by 0-2 in first half before losing the match in second half. Marseille even scored Real Madrid first but Madrid was able to quickly bounce back and secure the win. This is how champions league should be, full of surprises.

Teams many considered easy opponents have made a strong start to the Champions League. US Gilloise and Karabağ started the league with three points after defeating their opponents away.
Karabağ came back from 2-0 down to win 2-3 against Benfica. I don't think these teams' success is surprising because they play a very good team game.
I can also count Bodo/Glimt among these teams.
Bodo will open their Champions League debut tomorrow against Slavia Prague. An away win against Prague wouldn't be surprising.

Any team that qualified to the UEFA Champions League is not a small team because they have to be among the best teams in their leagues before they qualified to play in the UEFA Champions League; therefore, expect any performance especially the a better performance because they have been planning ahead of the Champions League. PSV were shocked tonight, same as Benfica because both of them expected an easy win today and it turns the other way round.

 Arsenal, Real Madrid, and Tottenham all played to expectations based on the outcome of the match; they all secure their first win to get three points for themselves ahead of the table ranking, while Dortmund played a very tough match against Juventus and it ended in a 4-4 draw which is the interesting game of today with the highest number of goals in the Champions League opening match.
This is a season to look forward to because a lot of surprises will follow in this current competition.

Real was in trouble in their game against Olympique Marseille, they conceded a goal in the 22nd minute and equalised a few minutes later. After a red card for Real's Carvajal in the 72nd minute, it was starting to look like Marseille might go home with at least one point, but Real managed to earn another penalty and Mbappe turned it into a winning goal. Well done to them.

I'm glad I didn't put any money on PSV, as I considered doing yesterday. They suffered a surprise defeat by the Belgian champions, Union Saint-Gilloise, who are now at the top of the UCL table.

But I can't wait to see the highlights of Juventus Vs Dortmund. You don't often see 8 goals scored in one half, which includes two scored in the stoppage time. It must've been fun to watch.

Arsenal finally proved their supremacy over athletic Bilbao today in their champions league game by sealing the game in a flying colour without any chance for retaliation of any kind. The game ended In favour of Arsenal, securing there three complete point in there first champions league game that gave people concerns because of athletic Bilbao outstanding performance in there league both last season and this season but arsenal made us to understand why they are one of the best team in the champions league this season ,
Apart from the complete three points collection, arsenal played an unimaginable football with over 60 percent possession and destructive statistics that would have yield to another goal if there was much time

It was a fantastic football game for Arsenal tonight going there at the Spanish side, at the Athletico Bilbao stadium and picking up a maximum of 3 points wasn't just an easy task, they've started off this season very well and in the league stage. And I hope they will be able to qualify out of the group and to try to reach the final stage of the competition.

Noticed that the two clubs both had dramatic wins in their different leagues? Real Madrid won the game even with a man down and Juventus came from behind to upset Inter Milan so I feel that tonight's performance seemed to look like a repeat of that
 Is this the time to say that both Juventus and Madrid would stun people in the various leagues or is it too early? I know that Madrid has a strong base but Juventus are not the type of club that can be relied on in recent times but I'd have to admit that under Igor Tudor, the club has continued to wow the fans and I must admit that I didn't expect to see such a harvest of goals considering how the first half was a bit tight and uneventful.

Actually it’s quite a surprise turn of an event in the game between Benfica at home in Portugal against The Azerbaijani team Quarabaq who traveled to Portugal and beat Benfica 2:3. It’s indeed a shocking result to see that quarabaq will come from two goals down to win the game, no one expected this. The Benfica team felt so relaxed after scoring two goals earlier and they kind of underrated the Azerbaijani team and they paid dearly for it. This match has really proved to use that anything that anything is possible in the game of football.

I will say that Dortmund and Juventus match was the most exciting match filled with thrills and emotions. Eight goals in 45 minutes is no joke. It shows that both teams are in their best form. I have already given up on Juventus equalizing the goals. I was wrong because in the last two minutes of the game was when Juventus made an equalizer to end the match in a draw.

It seems that Vlahovic is picking form this season because his performance was extraordinary today as he was able to score two goals in the match. All  the teams that I expected to win their matches came out victorious.

Juventus vs Dortmund was a interesting one, the two teams tried to secure a win but the match ended as a draw, I never expected so much goals in the match. Dortmund had the opportunity to secure a win in the match, but I just don’t know what happened to them towards the ending of the the match, it’s surprising to see juventus score two goals during the extra time given in the match, honestly it’s really a bad one for Dortmund, they concede two goals within 2 minutes.

How did Benfica even lose today, they scored two goals in the early minutes of the match, and I was thinking they going to end up scoring more goals before the match will end, but to my greatest surprise, they couldn’t win today, how did they even allow a team like Qarabag to win them? It’s really a bad start for them.

Another milestone for both Real Madrid and Mbappe today. Real Madrid becomes the first ever team in the competitions history to win 200 matches and it came in the 2 - 1 win against Marseille. Mbappe's second goal made it 50 in 64 appearances for Real Madrid. Lot's of talking points in the match, it still remains that a French team has never won Real Madrid in the Santiago Bernebeu stadium before.

Not only that, but this also set a record for a club of Real Madrid's stature, winning with two penalties. Mbappé who took the penalty saved Real Madrid from a draw, which Marseille were seeking in this match. However, Real Madrid were fortunate to be awarded a double penalty today. Marseille played well and they were also able to create problems for Real Madrid's defense, but in the end, luck was not on their side even though in the final minutes they were one player ahead of Real Madrid.

Today's win was clearly highly anticipated by most fans and it also demonstrates Alonso's ability to manage the team effectively. Even though Real Madrid won by two penalties, it was still a victory that earned them 3 crucial points. However, there's one important caveat, Real Madrid were missing their two best right-backs today, which will give them something to think about in their next match.

I feel so disappointed with PSV that I wished I did not gwt to watch that game actually. In the first half they had a very poor performance and I expected that by the second half they will make up for the silly mistake that got them disciplined with a penalty but sadly they lost by three goal to 1 in the competition, I wished for PSV to have a good start from this game but wishes are the best I could do as at the time.

Yeah they finally did and I was expecting it even before the game started but then with the way Arsenal played in the first half I was doubtful about their victory and thought the match might end in a draw because Athletic Bilbao was more dangerous and was the better team to me in the first half but things turned around in the second half.

I was glad that the substitution had a positive impact in the game, they both scored and assisted. They got what was important which is the 3 points. Trossard and Martinelli are the saviours of the match, that's what substitutions are expected to do when the team is in desperate need of help.
